We like O’Neil’s, it’s a decent pub with good drinks and beer. The pub food is good too, I like their version of bangers and mash, queso, and the waffle sweet potato fries are a big hit too. We came for Geeks who Drink, which is a busy time, and our waitress was on top of her game.

Good food, good beer. Was here for a ‘Geeks Who Drink’ evening and had a blast. In fact, I think EVERYONE was there that night for the ‘Geeks Who Drink’ activity. They were great hosts and I’ll be going back again!

Full bar. Wide menu with many options. Additionally, there is a Defined Fitness(local fitness gym) section of the menu offering a few healthy alternatives. Great place to go with a large group. This and the Nob Hill location have great pet friendly patios to enjoy that include heaters and a smoking section for the smokers. Love the coconut margarita. Staff is always friendly.

Considering I’m well above the legal drinking age I should at least be treated like an adult and be able to monitor my own drinking. Apparently you can’t order more than 3 drinks in an hour and a half. Their attitude about everything didn’t help either.

I’ve been here multiple times and every single time has been really great. The server is always attentive and very kind. The food is awesome, be it Alaskan fish and chips or the bangers and mash or the boxty ruben. And yes your kiddos are allowed! :)

Such a great and laid back place on a Friday night. Awesome beer specials, good service and the burgers were excellent. We will be back for sure.

Underrated, they have some very good healthy options and the patio is one of the nicest in the area. It’s very dog friendly out there with poop bags, leash hooks, and they will supply water. Good beer selection and nice servers. Great place to chill with the pups for a fairly cheap lunch.

We had a few hiccups in service last night, but our server went out of his way to apologize. I appreciate that he genuinely cares about his customers. I love the drink selection and have always enjoyed the patio. Green chili cheese fries were awesome! The hotdog could have been better.

First time here and it was a good choice! It was pretty busy, so we were not able to enjoy the patio. The service was a little slow. They definitely need more service for busy nights. However, the food was great! Their corn beef and cabbage egg rolls and fried pickles are the bomb My hubby and I both had the chile dog, fries, chicken wings, and cheesecake… for dessert.

The food here is pretty decent and so are the drinks. I have always had friendly service but they do tend to get really busy on Friday and Saturday nights. My only complaint is that it can take forever to get your check.

Second time here was just as good as the first. Service is consistent and relatively fast. I like the large waffle cut sweet potato fries. It’s VERY unfortunate that they charge for their pretty good remoulade sauce when the sweet potato fries are ordered, at an extra cost, as a side to your burger or sandwich; the sauce is included when they’re ordered as an appetizer. My burger last night was good but overdone. I do like their O’red tap brew, it’s very affordable and goes down easy. Currently their running a check in special where you can get a dessert for 50% off!

I’ve been to this O’Neil’s on occasion for the past couple of years(~7 times). The majority of the time I get excellent service. They make it easy for a group to order and request separate checks at the end. Their food has been very tasty. If you’re looking for a place to meet with a group of people for happy hour, it’s a great place!

I’m a big fan of O’Niell’s in the Heights. They have a great selection of beer on draft and in the bottle and often have guest beers on tap. My usual is the Left Hand Milk Stout-YUM! The staff is always friendly(minus one creepy bartender but that was a couple years ago and I haven’t seen him there in a while THANKGOD) and I never have to wait too long for service. If it’s cold outside you’ll find me at the bar. When the weather is nice I love to take my fur-babies to the pet friendly patio and enjoy a beer. They even have places to tie your dog’s leash. The patio is really nice despite being in the parking lot of Defined Fitness. It’s walled/gated in and there is a lot of plant life around the perimeter so you aren’t just staring at the street. They have a fire pit with couches and propane heaters by the tables for when it’s cool. In the summer they have umbrellas up. The food is good, they offer a «Defined Fitness» menu with things like tilapia tacos if you’re trying to be healthy. I usually get the nachos. My only complaint would be that they don’t have guacamole. I don’t know how you can survive as a restaurant in New Mexico and not serve guacamole. O’Niell’s also has a pint glass contest twice a year where you can drink your way to winning an engraved pint glass. I am a complete HOARDER of pint glasses. I probably have about 70 pint glasses from different places, including one from O’Niell’s. My only gripe here is that they start the contest on January 1st and July 1st, when I’m trying to be on my bi-annual«stop drinking so much beer and get in shape» kick for New Year’s and my birthday in July. I think they should start the contest in March, when I would have already given up on my New Year’s resolution, and in October, when I can hide my beer belly with my Halloween costume or just go into hibernation after I finish the 20 pints and earn my glass.

The same great attributes as the central location. The plus to this location is its a little more laid back. Not as much hustle and bustle. The patio here is far better than the central location. They still have the same good food and great drink selection!

Wow– great service!!! Oh wait– never mind– new years day, 530pm, walk in and make smiling eye contact with the bar tender and 3 waitresses, sit at the table and wait, wait, wait, wait, wait… 5 minutes later, after making eye contact with all of the waitresses and the bar tenders again several times over, we finally decided to leave. It wasn’t that they were busy either– I counted 5 tables out of the entire place with people at them. The waitresses all just flat out ignored us. Damn shame because I LOVE to leave good sized tips and was looking forward to leaving a review on their food and service… Guess not tonoght.

I went to Oniels on a Wednesday around 3:00 P. M absolutely horrible service. There was only 6 tables in the resraunt and 2 outside that had people. We had a group of 6 coworkers and went their for beers and appetizers. It took 25 minutes to just get service for beer and drink orders. Once are beer and drinks arrived at our table after another 20 minutes the beer was warm along with the drinks. Remember there’s was only 7 other tables in the restaurant. After getting are beers and drinks we decided to order a few other appitizers. This took another 30 minutes to get are appitizers. The waitress was very rude during this time we asked several times where are appitizers were with no response. Overall it was a horrible experience. Due to the rude uninviting service, super slow and hot beer and drink orders and long appitizers wait we will never be back to O’Neils. It was the worst overall resraunt experience I have ever had. There was no hospitality, care or motivation from the staff. It felt like we were disturbing there high school goof off time. The manager never even came around are table either. As I stated I will never return to O’Neils Pub and wouldn’t recommend anyone else go there either.

I like the atmosphere of this place. They definitely have a nice beer selection, but the food was just ok. It wasn’t bad, but not very good. I had the Reuben with green chile cheese fries. It was ok, tasted kind of processed. The other people with me had the Irish Reuben, which was good. And the other person had the shepherds pie, which really wasn’t good. It was more like a stew with mashed potatoes piped around the edges. Not good. I probably will return, but probably just for drinks and maybe appetizers. Not a full meal.

One of my favorite spots in this neighborhood. Clean, classy, and fun. The bartenders are hard working and attentive, the food is delicious. O’Niell’s is pretty dedicated to local and craft beers, which is awesome if you like beer. They have a little bit of everything, and they participate in local beer-centric events. They also have a mug club, so get your own and be a local! The food here is great, and the chefs work hard to diversify the menu and put unique spins on things you’ve seen a bazillion times before. I like the boxty reuben. Great, large, and open patio space. Most importantly, it is covered for the most part. You don’t bake out there, you just enjoy the nice weather! Fantastic service every time I have been here. Whether inside, outside, or at the bar, everyone smiles and is very attentive.

As many have said, nice patio, good beer, reasonable prices, and more than acceptable food quality. Been twice, had a brand new server the first time, she was wonderful, on top of everything, felt like a 20yr pro IMO… but the second time was with my 64yr old aunt, and the volume was nearly deafening. Don’t quite recall it being even half that loud the previous outing(w/my gf) but the music was honestly nearly rock concert, and that’s sadly not hyperbole. I really want to love this spot as it’s so close to my home, but until the music gets turned down to a level where I don’t have to shout just to be heard across an 18 inch table, I prob won’t be back. Otherwise, enjoy the good food and reasonably priced beer! Oh, and I think you get a Unilocal discount on a dessert, all of which look super tasty! edit: They ARE the only place in the NE(along with Pelican’s) open after 9pm, it seems like, so keep that in mind if it’s late…
