Very disappointed. Went for Christmas Eve lunch and there was a long hair wrapped in my blooming onion. Showed the waitress, she offered another… we declined. Supervisor came over and apologized saying he would take it off the bill… you think??? My daughter ordered the children’s mac n cheese with a side. Waitress did not advise that the side was at an additional cost and not included with her meal. I could not imagine not comping one of the meals or at least bringing out a complimentary dessert. Even a gift card for next time would have sufficed. It’s sad as my family and I have been coming here for at least 3 years now as a Christmas Eve tradition. Based on their lack of customer service, sadly our tradition will end this year.

Music was for the waiters. Acid rock head banging! AVOID! Had soup and salad. caesar salad fair, potato soup was horrible. Luke warm, potatoes floating in white gravy and NO seasoning other than a pound of salt. Wife got a Cobb Salad. Came with no cheese! Had to send it back. $ 9 salad worth $ 1.50! Said mixed greens and it was bagged iceberg lettuce. No one in the place at lunch time and no one should wonder why. Took almost 25 minutes to get out order. Lunch? Should be in and out within 30 minutes! NEVER going back to this one! Lost my business!

Outback Sirloin dinner. 100% delicious. Service was prompt and error free, but a little over-efficient. You feel like they are trained to turn tables even when there are no lines. If you’re not in a hurry, tell your waiter you want a slow, relaxed meal. No WiFi. Bad move for a place where there are often lines. Get with it, Outback! Noise was not too bad, in case you want to converse during dinner. I think it’s a little more expensive than another Outback I was at recently.

I hadn’t gone to this outback for probably 15 years cause it was gross back then, I regret giving them another try. Food is nasty service is blahh. 15 bucks for a burger and sodas, should have gone to wendys. The fries were lumpy soggy soaked in dripping grease, and the burger just tasted like a gallon of mustard between bread.

Despite having so many service related issues in the past, my husband had been wanting to try their steak and endless shrimp special. I’d been putting off going back because I didn’t feel like putting up with any service issues, but last night I relented. We got there at about 6:30pm on a Sunday, and again, the restaurant was largely empty. We were seated right away, and attended to promptly. This time, I have to say, the service was remarkably better. Our waiter, Austin, was very attentive. He made sure we had plenty of bread and that our drinks were always refilled, without us ever having to ask for anything. Our orders came out 100% correct: the steaks were cooked exactly as requested, we got the type of shrimp and dipping sauce requested, and the sides were correct and not missing. So why the drop in stars? Because Outback, like we have noticed many other chain restaurants have started doing, is now pulling a «bait and switch», meaning that their portions are significantly being reduced in size, while the prices stay the same or increase. I realize that the cost of food has gone up, but if you need to compensate for higher food prices, don’t cut your portions by 30% or more at the same time you increase prices and expect your customers not to notice. It started with the appetizer, the Aussie cheese fries. This is my husband’s favorite appetizer at Outback. I like them just fine, but can do without them. When my husband wants to order them, though, we always get the small portion as it has always been plenty for the two of us, and the large is too much food. What was brought to our table last night though, was essentially a side of fries, served in a small shallow dish. My husband cut the portion of fries in half so that we each got an equal amount, so half of a side of fries each, and the price tag was a whopping $ 7.50. If you order the Aussie cheese fries as a side with your meal, they will up charge you, but not as much as $ 7.50, yet what we were served as an appetizer was the same amount that we could have paid a lot less for if my husband had replaced the side that came with his meal with the cheese fries. As a side with his meal, though, he chose asparagus, which is an up charge of $ 1.00 for a few measly stalks. We each chose the endless shrimp special that came with the smallest steak, which we were told was a 5 oz. sirloin, because with the endless shrimp we figured we could order enough shrimp to not leave hungry. So I knew the cuts of meat were going to be on the small side, but I would dispute if they were even 5 oz. cuts. My husband ordered his steak medium rare, so you can’t really use the excuse that«it shrinks when it’s cooked» with his, and it looked smaller than what was advertised as 5 oz. Mine was cooked well done(I usually prefer it medium well, but I ordered it well done because of their tendency to undercook the steaks in the past and I’d rather it be more cooked than less cooked), so of course it looked thinner and smaller than my husband’s, which was small to begin with. For the endless shrimp, there were two choices: garlic butter, or breaded. I ordered the garlic butter shrimp at first, and my husband ordered the breaded shrimp. I wasn’t too impressed with the garlic butter shrimp. They were not the best quality shrimp(they looked like the kind you buy in bulk frozen) and were on the slimy side. For our refill we both ordered the breaded shrimp. The breaded shrimp tasted better, but were still not the best in terms of quality. Overall, I don’t think our meal was worth the price, even with the endless shrimp. One appetizer/side of cheese fries, two tiny pieces of meat and the lowest quality shrimp, a side of asparagus, and two iced teas came to just under $ 50.00($ 49.00 and some change). I’d rather pay more money and know that I am getting quality food. Sorry, Outback, but your decision to cut corners while keeping prices high has cost you two long time customers.

I just had hands down the most atrocious service and food. First the filet mignon steak comes out cold, they sent it back. Bring back same steak instead of new cut and now I have ¾ of my original steak and only 10% warmer. Also I don’t believe they know how to cook medium rare because it was cold, bloody rare. I didn’t even eat it was so disgusting. If you want steak done right don’t come here because outback has no clue what they are doing. The management felt bringing same steak sent back was the right thing to do. You kidding me? You make the mistake and I have to suffer from enjoying a flavorful steak? Even with A1 it was bad.

This place has TOTALLY gone downhill! My god! Why do they advertise all you can eat shrimp and show misleading photos if when you get there what you get is soggy tiny shrimp and it takes an act of congress to get another serving? Why do they advertise to close at 10 p.m. if when you arrive at 9:20 every employee in the entire place looks at you like: «What the hell are you doing here?» and why — if the steak is what you go there for is the steak of such incredibly low quality? I have eaten $ 3/lb chuck steak that was better. Bread was dry and crumby, waiter basically pushed us out the door after not taking care of us because he was more worried about cleaning his section so he could leave. Music was loud, temperature too cold and EXPENSIVE! Their $ 16 shrimp and steak special for two people ended up being $ 60 because the steak included in their TV commercial is like 3 ounces. I will NEVER go there again — I could get free meals for life and I would never go there. Texas Land and Cattle is SO much more superior!

Disappointed with the food. Overly salty– from the shrimp to asparagus, although the steak was not seasoned, at all. My husband walked out and felt like throwing it all up in the parking lot. We will never return. On the bright side, the shift manager was making rounds and asking people about their food– we mentioned that everything was overly salty and not flavorful. He comped his meal. That was very kind, but food was disappointing. Sad.

«Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.” – Chinese proverb I will never visit any Outback again after tonight’s debacle. I went to the same Outback months ago on my day off, hoping for a nice relaxing lunch. Unfortunately, the corporate rules apparently dictate that the customer gets 12 minutes to finish his appetizer or salad before the entrée comes out. If you do not finish your app or salad in time, the entrée is right on top of you. I complained and the manager – despite my protest – took something off my bill. I returned tonight mainly sticking with the«devil you know» rather than the alternative. I was wrong. I sat at the bar which was completely empty. I asked the bartender to change the channel to NBCSN to watch the Stanley Cup Playoffs. They did not have that channel – strike one. I ordered the blue cheese wedge salad which was excellent. Halfway through the salad – and remembering my past experiences– I told the barman/waiter to tell the kitchen that I did not want to be rushed and I did not want my steak coming out before I had a chance to taste my salad. He went to the kitchen to inform them when lo and behold a food runner appeared with my steak order and I still hadn’t finished my salad – Strikes 2 and 3!!! I refused to accept it and called the manager, who turned out to be the same manager as my previous visit. I was so livid I could hardly speak. This is «causal dining»? People go out to eat to relax, not to eat on speed 78 rpm. The corporate office thinks this is efficiency, I call it antithetical to the dining experience. Apparently millions of people love this place. While the food is good, the service is horrid. I understand about turning tables but there was no one else at the bar! I cancelled the rest of my order and went to Longhorn Steakhouse. A very nice waitress named Erica waited on me and did not rush my meal. Not only did I have a relaxing mean, but they had NBCSN and I watched my hockey game and ate in a relaxed manner– the way it should be.

I’ve been to Outback so many times and in so many cities it’s easy to call this place a favorite… or maybe a staple. Anyhoo, it’s always a good idea for a group, everyone can find something they like. Their steaks are decent and well-priced but I really enjoy all the little things like the creative cocktails and good-sized appetizers, not to mention the signature wheat loaf and butter. Service is hit and miss but the food is consistent and the wait isn’t too terrible. Outback always seems to be a place everyone can agree on when trying to decide where to go for dinner.

Verrrry disappointed in the food here. I used to come to Outback on a regular basis, mainly for ribs, garlic mashed potatoes and a Bloomin Onion. I hadn’t been here in what feels like a decade, and I’m sad to say… I would have rather eaten at McDonald’s(and it hurts me to say that). We jumped at the opportunity to order the Bloomin Onion, one of Outback’s prized poster children. Alas, the breaded batter tasted overcooked, and I found myself miserably chomping on what I wanted so badly to melt in my mouth. My man and I split the full rack of ribs with garlic mashed potatoes on the side. I’m not saying looks are everything, but when the dish arrived, it had the look of a meal you feed some uninvited guest in your house that just clogged up your toilet and spilled wine all over your computer. You’re mad but still trying to be polite… so you cook the food and throw it sloppily on a plate in no organized fashion and without a remote sense of respect for the plate. The food’s not centered and the mashed potatoes were definitely shlopped on there by that nasty lunch lady serving Shloppy Joes in Billy Madison. In the words of Jimmy Fallon, «Ew!!» …As for the taste, the potatoes tasted ok, but nothing spectacular. The ribs didn’t taste fresh — like they had been sitting under a heat lamp for a while before someone doused them in BBQ to ‘freshen’ em up. The friends we were with both had burgers. I tasted the cheeseburger my friend had barely managed to muscle down… dry and flavorless… You know that feeling when you’re salivary glands can’t keep up with a chalky consistency of a food — like they can’t produce spit fast enough? That was how it felt. That burger did NOT wanna go down my esophagus. No bueno. Additionally, the fries just tasted like barely-cooked potato sticks. The only thing that’ll get me back here is hard core peer pressure.

People seem to forget this a chain restaurant. It’s not a gourmet steakhouse. You are not going to get served life-changing food– just good food. The waiters have a high turnover rate, like most chains. There will be awesome ones and horrible ones. It’s a chain. I have never had a bad experience at this location. I have had long wait times, but that is typical at a popular place near dinner time. You will probably have to wait about 30 – 45 minutes. They have lots of seats for waiting in. You can sometimes wait at the bar, depending on how many people are there for a game. They serve you brown bread when you sit and it’s delicious. I do love their bread quite a bit. I have had their salmon twice at this location and each time it’s been made well. Their Ahi Tuna appetizer was also pleasant and fresh tasting(it is very easy to tell when Ahi is not fresh). My favorite thing is the Steakhouse Salad(which they removed briefly and broke my heart, then brought it back). It is a lovely salad of candied pecans, tomatoes and blue cheese dressing topped with steak made to order. The flavor combination makes me happy. I am quite found of their steak. They are usually good at making it to your order– sometimes they mess up, but just ask them to remake it and you will not be charged for the re-order. I always order rare and it’s always juicy and a good cut of meat. Their drink choices are also yummy. At the end, you have a popular chain restaurant that does decent steaks and acceptable seafood for reasonable prices. Service can sometimes be a little iffy and the orders may get messed up at times, but that is to be expected almost anywhere. It’s really just a normal place that does certain things well.

This was only my second trip to Outback in my life. I had gone the first time about 7 years ago. My wife and I get there around 6pm on Friday and surprisingly it wasn’t busy. We were sat right away, which was nice. We were thinking we would have a 30 to 40 minute wait but I’ll take no waiting any day of the week. There was just something about Outback that just didn’t jive with me and I can’t say that I was super excited to eat there. We went there only because it was years since we’ve been and wanted to give it a shot. Everyone, meaning outback staff, just seemed automated. Don’t get me wrong, they appeared attentive but individual personality seemed lacking. I understand that could be a minor distraction for some people but to me it felt like a Monday, after work vibe other than a Friday time to light the city on fire vibe that you would get at Roadhouse. Anyway, I love ribs so that’s what I had and my wife had the Steak Tacos. I compare BBQ ribs to the likes of Rudy’s, Powdrell’s and Roadhouse. Outback’s ribs were just ok to me, the BBQ sauce kind of reminded me of the KC Masterpiece sauce you get at Walmart, not to much originality to set themselves apart. My wife loved the steak tacos though. All in all the experience wasn’t bad. In my opinion there are other chains I would rather go to. I can’t pin the tail on the donkey but something about Outback just didn’t do it for me.

Well when we arrived the hostess was very kind. But once we sat, Daryl our waiter was rude and impolite. when my sister and I go eat we sometime get a small extra dish just to try something new and our waiters comment towards my sister was«do you really think you need that» we still order it after his comment(and those Aussie tacos were delicious). Then after we got our food he looked at her and said«do you want a diet coke with all that”(she was drinking water from the start) wow! I was stunned silent. On a a semi-nice note, the food was good but my sister was a little embarrassed to eat and felt uncomfortable. We left with most of our food untouched.

I absolutely love this place. Our waiter, Rio, is such an awesome waiter. He’s super friendly and always in good spirits. I typically get the ribeye(chargrilled-it’s amazing trust me), French fries and green beans(but they just took them off the menu– I’m very saddened by this) while me mom gets the ahi tuna. We have hardly ever had problems here and always enjoy the consistent quality we get time and time again.
