OMFG, I’ll try and make this short. So I show up with 15ish people for a going away party. We scoot 3 tables together on the patio and were promptly told that just can’t happen… not only were they crooked(she totally said that) she and the manager(?) said our server would have a hard time getting around the table to pass out food/drinks. We said, repeatedly, that wasn’t a problem for us, we’re out to have a good time. Sorry, no go. So they find us a place on «the other side.» This thing they call a sports bar… with so many tv’s we were all dizzy. So, the guy over there, he’s fine with splitting all the checks, cool. He’s so slow some of us actually go back to the other side and get drinks from the bar. It wasn’t full on that side by any means but ok, he’s slow, whatever. THEN while 10ish of the 20ish of us are still talking/eating cake/drinking around 10pm, he brings over the tickets! Are you ready? Um, no, we’re not. So we wait on a few more drinks and some of us decide you know what, we’re done. And what’s with less beer selections on that side vs the other side? I mean really? It’s the same place! Between being scolded for moving tables around on one side and the weird service on the other, ya, a lot of us won’t be back sad to say. At least our guest of honor had a great time and the bartender turned down the music when asked so we could make some speeches… You guys blew it.

This bar is never my first choice, but would be my second or third on a given week day night. The location is fine, the parking lot is nice and big, the atmosphere is friendly enough. They do have a full bar(big plus) but no TV(seriously? minus a star). The food is surprisingly decent, solid bar food — I particularly like the fish and chips, the fish batter is light and crispy and the fries are fine(skip the heavy, unseasoned coleslaw) and the wings(hot sauce is the only right answer). The green chile burger is also decent, definitely pick onion rings as the side. Drinks are reasonably priced, and make sure you ask about drink specials, which can be a great deal. As other reviewers have noted, the restaurant is very accommodating about a variety of dietary restrictions. Service is also fine, better if you’re at the bar, weaker at the tables.

What a great little place. We ended up here«accidentally», when the pub we started out to find proved to be too crowdwed. Boy are we happy we did. The food was excellent, everything came out of the kitchen piping hot. The beer list is extensive, and there is something on the menu for every pallet. We are from Denver, but we make the trip to Albuquerque several times a year. O’Neil’s will definitely be part of out next trip!

For the number of taps at O’Niell’s, I expected more variety of beers. When we were in the taps were dominated by mediocre IPAs. When I asked about seasonal rotaters, I was told they had a Hefe(uhhh…in October?). Their happy hour specials are a joke — PBR and a few select draught beers for $ 3. The food leaves much to be desired as well. My friend ordered fish tacos and she received a bowl of battered fish with tomatoes/lettuce/cheese and a side of beans. Yep, a BOWL of taco ingredients without tortillas — we were baffled.

I came here last night for the first time for a pub quiz and had a group of six. Most of the tables do not seat six and the one table I saw that did, had four morbidly obese people taking up one of the only six-seaters in the room. I wish I could remember our server’s name because she was lovely. It was pretty busy during the quiz and she was able to get us our food and drinks pretty quickly. I had their taquitos and chicken fritters which went really well with my Hefeweisen. There was one male server that was being grumpy all night and was mildly incompetent. Every time he came by our table to drop something off, he was scowling. When we ordered food, the server wrote it down and read it back to us. About 5 minutes later, he came to our table asking us if we had ordered this and that, but he was missing half of our order. He seemed very incensed when we corrected him. Other than that, I would come here again. Others in my group ordered entrees that they enjoyed like the Apple Reuben.

Apparently, my business wasn’t valued. 7 minutes waiting without a single server coming over, 2 were just standing… I really hope it isn’t because of appearances.

The service is bad. Staff made no attempt accommodate a large party. When I made an attempt to move a table I was yelled at by the bar tender.

O’Neills is a great locally-owned and operated pub. I had the steak sandwich and couple left hand milk stouts. Those were great, I heard zero complaints from the 20+ people in my group. The patio was a nice area to enjoy the summer rain falling last night. They are per friendly also. It had been a few years since I had been here, definitely better service and experience all the way around.

I usually only come here for trivia or a late night meal. This is a good solid pub choice just about anytime, though. I also really love the outdoor patio with booths which you can smoke at.

O’Niell’s is probably the spot I hit the most in Albuquerque, but not my favorite. The convenient and central location lands you there. All you got to say to me is «Wanna go to O’Neill’s” – I there! The staff are friendly and awesome. Nice beer selection – maybe one of the best in the city. I think the whole concept of fried pickles is out of this world and who can resist chile cheese fries. To me the burger is just okay, especially for the high moderate price. For a place that has«lads and lassies» on the restroom doors, I expected the corn beef to be kick-ass – and it’s not. Still I recommend hanging with your friends at O’Neill’s. You’ll find me there as well. NOTE: I spelled the bar/restaurant name two different ways just as they do in their menu and signage.

Guys! This is a cool little pub, but I was most pleased that it is vegetarian friendly! I was only expecting to get some lame appetizer or pasta dish but they offer Morningstar farms veggie burger AND a portobello option! I got the portobello, and it was flavorful, I guess my only complaint would be that it was overdone– but I had ordered the«black and bleu» so I suppose they were doing a blackened spin on it. I wouldn’t blacken a portobello so much. It was also pretty spicy, but that was in the description of the burger. I was disappointed with it, but I would return and order it prepared differently. Soup of the day was cream of mushroom, and it was awesome, loaded with fresh carrots and mushrooms. There is always a «weird sandwich of the day» that is vegetarian. Today it was the«Apple philly». It didn’t sound good to me but it’s so awesome that they offer things like this! The live music(Sunday) is really awesome. This place is just buzzing with people. All in all, we just chose a random spot to eat and this place was a gem. A really cool place to go.

I thought the Spicy Mac & Cheese($ 12+) was way overpriced… AND not spicy. Good concept, though, with chile con queso, mushrooms, broccoli and tomatoes. The pasta was served with bread… trying to put me in a carb coma or something? The patio service here was slow on a Sunday night, and they weren’t even busy. Drinks were weak and overpriced.

A classic! O’Niel’s is your one stop shop for pub food and beer. They also have a lighter menu for those that are working on a diet but still want to enjoy time with friends. The food can be a little greasy but you’re at a beer joint, what else goes better with beer? I don’t appreciate the opportunity to upgrade(at a cost) but they do verify with you prior to placing your order that it will be an additional charge. The patios are nice and one is dog friendly. They also have a private room that is beautiful for a pub. This is worth a stop!

I love going to O’niell’s when I want to try something a that’ll stick to my ribs and enjoy and cold beer. They have a great atmosphere here. The interior is clean and features local artist’s work. They have a nice long bar to sit at and their patio is comfy and spacious. They have a varied menu with plenty of things to try that you may not find anywhere else in ABQ. The wait staff has always been friendly and efficient. My two favorite entrees have been the steak salad and Shepard’s Pie. Yummy! I also enjoy hanging outside in one of their patio couches and just having a drink or two.

One of the few Irish pubs in town. Nothing really stands out to say wow but that’s not always a bad thing. The food is decent and goes well with a good brew or whiskey from there above average selection. Now the booze because who really goes to a pub and doesn’t get booze? The beer selection is pretty good especially for Albuquerque standards. Lots of bottles to choose from and around 12 – 16 taps. They actually pour a fairly good pint of the black stuff«Guinness». The whiskey selection is a good size as well. They also have mixed drinks and house specials.

This is a steady, reliable place to grab a burger, some wings, a good beer, or a Guiness. The food isn’t the most awesome food ever, but it hits the spot and you won’t leave hungry. The bartenders generally know their way around a pour, and can mix a drink to my satisfaction. My most favorite thing about this place is the PATIO! It is dog friendly, and a super chill place to hang out during warm weather. Bring the pups, have a beeer… Enjoy the sunshine and awesome Albuquerque weather.

Went to easy with some Co-workers, fast service. Store was clean, staff was nice and smiling the entire time. Food came out quickly, but not so fast that it made you question it’s freshness. Fish and chips are always a favorite and never fail to deliver. Batter is fluffy and light with just the right amount of seasoning. Chips are tasty and not greasy.

Yay! I’m a fan. Why? For many reasons including that dogs are allowed at this location, there is a Unilocal check in discount offer, and the availability of appetizers and desserts. I’ve been here many times just for a beverage and a snack. I keep on meaning to bring my female puppy here to see if she likes it; that bitch will determine if this place keeps four stars or gets bumped down to three. Up until this point I give this place four stars because overall the parking lot, restrooms, and eating areas are usually kept clean. I usually just order starter meals here or a small dish. My cousin likes their gluten free choices. Yay! KID#2(know known as Happy Feet on Unilocal) likes their hot wings. I like the«Crispy Corned Beef and Cabbage Egg Rolls» as an appetizer. My husband and I were thinking of joinging their«‘O’ So Faithful Pint Glass Promo» [ ], but we have to somehow remember what month it beings. I thought it was in January, but the website says August first. That means I’ll wait until 2015. I’ve only had one bad experience here when I had ordered a liquid snack and wanted to pay as soon as the waitress brought the bubbly. This never happened. I complained to the manager — stating that I only had a 30 minute time frame, so I ordered quickly and wanted to pay as soon as possible in order to leave within 20 minutes. In the meantime my husband was fnishing up his appetizer and drink, and he had also asked for his tab when I asked for mine. He also never received the tab within the 20 minutes. The manager saw how diappointed I was; then said he would take care of both tabs. Well, I actually never really had a tab — just water. At least my husband’s ticket was comped. Thank you to that O’Neill’s manager for being on top of everything. Cheers!

Fun little pub! I’m not sure they are very Irish, but they try. Good beer selection, especially European gems, and a better than average whiskey selection as well. The food is generally good, with a nod to the Irish, but you’ll find a fair selection of other items too. Came here for the Geeks Who Drink competition, which was super fun. And, as expected, this place pulls out all the stops on St. Patrick’s day, with live fife and drums, drink specials, and classic Irish food. Go, but get their EARLY!

Local is pretty much my middle name… I get nervous at chain restaurants. I try to support the local places as much as possible. O’Niells is a pillar of the local community and one might suspect that they are doing a great job judging by the packed parking lot. But, I do agree with many of the other reviewers… it’s just A-OK. I have not been wowed by this current location since they opened. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable about the beers and food. I haven’t had a super amazing food experience there ever… I did once like the potato fritters many years ago when they had the space across from Kelly’s(now 2 Fools.) and unfortunately they do not still hold up to that memory. Recently I had some chile con queso that was good once I dumped a large amount of pepper on it and shared a hotdog covered with bacon(so, maybe not the most pub or heart healthy items to order, and my body agreed with the overall unsatisfactory outcome of the evening), beer was good and bar service prompt and efficient. What O’Niells does have going is the staff and the patio… and for you dog lovers… you can enter the patio from the side(not thru the restaurant)…and the chips were warm. That deserves a star. Oh, and NOTV! Another star. Go check it out… the menu is vast… you may have better luck ordering than I.
