I had an hour massage with Laura. She is fabulous — her attention to details on my stiff shoulder/​back and tired legs made the session totally worthwhile. And the price is so much more reasonable and affordable than other ‘Spa.’ $ 50 + tax (+ optional gratuity) for a great hour long massage. Can’t beat that!

When I know one of life’s stressful events is eminent, I schedule an hour massage at Massage Away in advance. And I never second guess myself. For those in the northeast heights, Massage Away is conveniently located at Candelaria and Eubank in Scottsdale Village, near Annie’s Soup Kitchen.
The interior is surprising serene and tranquil considering the world the rushing by outside. I’ve been 20+ times in the past year, and am almost always greeted by name and am quickly offered a heated neck wrap and cool drink or hot tea as I settle into the candlelit waiting area for my appointment. I recommend arriving 10 – 15 minutes ahead of schedule for the Star treatment.
There are approximately 8 private massage rooms, all candlelit with soothing harmonious music. Couples massages are also offered.
Prices range depending on treatment, but they offer a full gamut of cultural massages: Swedish, Japanese, Raiki, Reflexology, hot-​stone, etc, etc.
An hour massage is typically $ 50 – 60 per hour. I’m always grateful for the deep-​tissue massages that really work out my kinks.
The well-​trained staff never disappoints. And getting a same-​day appointment is rarely too much trouble either. Before you try a membership franchise like Massage Envy, I highly recommend that you give locally owned Massage Away your business.
