This place was closed on a Saturday. There is no furniture inside. I think it’s closed for good.

I went by on a Tuesday for lunch — their Unilocal hours and those posted on the door said open at 10AM, but it was plum closed around 11:30. Big time bummer because I drove to that part of town just to try it out!

I try a different tea every visit. If choosing between two teas, you can smell the tea from the canister. And the pastries are delicious, I had a pear pastry before that I liked. This visit I’m having the BlackBerry slice of pie. The mint citrus green tea is divine. The raspberry acai tea is the bomb. This visit I was greeted by people playing board games, 3 different games are being played, and we were invited to play. But I’m surfing the web and staying cool inside.

This place is a little unexpected, a little quirky. Located in a compound-like group of buildings, it not only serves tea but tasty sandwiches as well. I liked the buffalo chicken wrap I had, and the salad wasn’t bad either. Obviously, though, the big thing here is tea. I love that they have iced green tea, and a large variety of it. If you want hot tea, loose tea, bag tea, this is your place. If you’re looking for a quiet place to sip said tea, this is the place.

Great tea selection, hidden in the corner of some shops, support local artists, and really is amazingly great customer service! Didn’t try the food, but can’t wait to get back!

I’m giving them a star because they open at 10am on weekdays and closed on Sundays. I don’t know about you but I drink my coffee before 10am.

Looooved this place. Friendly service. Had a freshly made Assam Iced tea — served up in a huge mason jar and a yummy slice of lemon bundt cake. Can’t wait to go back and sample the rest of the menu. There’s real food there! My only complaint, which isn’t worth less stars, is that they’re not open a couple hours later.

The tea was the only thing impressive here. Two and a half sandwiches and a cup of soup with a pot of tea was $ 50 for three people! The guy at the counter was rude, unfriendly and not one bit helpful. Almost as if he was to up scale to be service anyone tea. My sandwich was a roll with three thin slices of beef with cheese. the grilled onion were forgotten and brought out after I finished the tiny sandwich. There were about 9 chips on the plate. That did not make this a sandwich worth the $ 10 it cost. My dining companion had a cup of soup. She said it was far better than the sandwich. For a $ 50 lunch the atmosphere really needs to be stepped up a few notches. This is a very casual place with a dining area that seconds as a card room. It’s a fun place to hang out but not somewhere one wants to drop $ 50 on lunch.

Never will you find such a variety of tea in Albuquerque or probably New Mexico as Kung Fu Cowboy Tea Company. Apart from their amazing tea and great knowledge about all things orange pekoe and russian caravan, there is a wide assortment of food that is friendly for all types of eaters. There are great tasting gluten free options. Sandwhiches, Salads, and soups all made in house. When you are finished eating, try the home-baked items as well that usually have an added tea flavor or will match your choice of tea. The atmosphere is perfect for a party, or simply going to get work done or read a book. Enjoy the VarieTEA

A comfortable tea shop that has been taken over by Gamers. The tea was great. However, a pot of tea and three not so good sandwiches will run you $ 50.00! Yikes! There’s were only two slices of roast beef on a plain roll and 10 chips and that was $ 9. If you want to play cards this is a great place, if you want a nice lunch stick with Annie’s Soup Kitchen across the parking lot… Or even McD’s.

I had a very disappointing experience here. The place looked nice enough, but the dining area seemed to be taken over by large groups of nerds playing RPGs. It really took away from the zen tea room ambiance. I went to the front counter to figure out what I wanted to order and asked for a menu I could hold and look at, because I didn’t want to have to bend over to pick out my lunch from the paper menu taped to the counter. The girl that was taking our order told me that they didn’t have any left, so I would just have to use the one on the counter. This should have been the first sign that this was going to be a bad experience. The only reason I gave this place 2 stars instead of 1, is because the food and tea actually were tasty. The biggest problem was that the service was terrible and the wait was obscene. It was not overly busy for a saturday, but after waiting 25 minutes for a cold sandwich, I decided to go up to the front to see what was taking so long. All of the girls working at the registers seemed like deer in the headlights and confused. Finally when I said I was about to demand a refund and walk out, one of the girls said she would«check on it». About 5 minutes later the food finally came out. I would never come here again and I don’t see how a business that is tucked away in a tiny shopping center is going to get any repeat business if it continues on in this fashion.

The Heights are just plain weird. There really aren’t any neighborhoods, not in a traditional urban sense, anyway. There are«sections», I guess: the Foothills, Academy, the Acres. Very few people walk or bike these streets. Homes sidle up against strip malls which house any variety of local and national businesses, the only way to describe the amalgamation is «random». Cruising Tramway or Montgomery boulevard, it’s easy to overlook the unique shops, especially when your pupils are so easily caught on gaudy signage from the Wal-Heathens and Whole Wallets. Kung Fu Cowboy has their publicity work cut out for them. Nestled deep inside a concrete jungle at the northwest corner of Eubank & Candelaria, finding herbal enlightenment can be quite a test for the urban navigator. But patience has its virtues, and at this tea house your rewards are evident the moment you enter. The place is mighty calming, to start, which is exactly what my nerves needed after another wild ride through those streets. True Comfort Food, in that it’s flavorful without the uncomfortable calories — I had a chicken and walnut sandwich on sourdough, really tasty, with a little salad and some potato chips, reminded me of Model Pharmacy eats. Friendly employees who want to know«How’d you find us?» And naturally, an overwhelming selection of fabulous teas and tea making accessories. It’s not enough to say«I want something with caffeine» here, you need to choose your buzz level. When you’ve lived here a while, like I have, you get to know the Heights. You find your spots, your hideouts and escapes. Prior to my visit, I didn’t have a spot in this area; now I do. They refilled my specialty iced tea endlessly while I worked and met with a business associate, and I felt like I could stay all day. And the next time I will. Next time, skip Seattlebucks and drop your cash at a real café. You’ll love this little cabin in the woods.

This is a very comfortable tea shop. The main room is spacious and well lit. The restrooms are pretty nice as well. It is perfect to have business meeting, come with a large group of friends or alone to read or study. I tried the Earl Grey and got hooked on it. It was really smooth and aromatic. You’ll find plenty of parking spaces since the shop is located on a big shopping plaza. Also, there are several other businesses around that might complement your visit to the tea shop and make it all the more enjoyable.

Located in the back northwest corner of the Scottsdale Village Shopping Center. Kung Fu Cowboy Tea House Café, formally Annapolis. The place has very warm colors, shades of green and yellow, with dark colored chairs of complementary colors. Background music adds comfort to the place. They also carry magazines, books, board games for your entertainment. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Offering many different varieties of tea, loose tea, coffee, smoothies, sandwiches and more. Vegetarian and vegan friendly options. Food was amazingly tasty, I enjoyed every bite, and the tea was also very good, which I am also looking forward to trying all their selections. This is a keeper for me, and can’t wait to return.

The only reason this place gets two stars from me is because of the tea, which is excellent. Otherwise, my experience was not a good one and I likely won’t return. The service was agonizingly slow, especially considering nothing on their menu is that complicated. I purchased two sandwiches and a slice of quiche to take home for my boyfriend and I. He took one bite of the quiche, spit it out, and threw the rest away. Both of our sandwiches were very boring and flavorless. It’s a pity, too, as the ambiance is very nice and, again, the tea selection and quality is superb.

In the far back corner of the Scottsdale plaza, worth going back for. One of the best tea selections around, good atmosphere, fast WiFi, good tunes on the stereo and a great light and healthy food menu. Staff are laid back, friendly and go out of their way to help. Think of this place more as a café(yes they have coffee and all the rest) that specializes in great tea than an old school tea house. They have a meeting room too if your club or group needs a place to get together.

I was in again the other day and WoW! is all I can say. Between Brian and Anthony, the food is off the hook and the tea is awesome! I love meeting with my business clients there! Great ambiance… Every time I visit, I fall a little more in love!
