Ordered delivery… Buddha Delight and Ma Pao Tofu. Both were supposed to be hot and spicy. Even asked for extra spicy. Bland, bland, bland. No flavor at all. After doctoring both dishes up, I noticed a mildewy taste in the Buddha Delight. Rotten carrots. I’m going to post a photo. The celery was tough and stringy, the entire dish overcooked. I didn’t want broccoli so they subbed zucchini(which would not have been my choice) cut into weird too large pieces. We were not delighted by Buddha Delight. Ma Pao Tofu had large baby corn with tough cobs. Couldn’t eat those. Tasteless. Had to add chili black bean paste, soy sauce, cayenne, and sesame oil to make it slightly edible… By this point we didn’t want any of it. On top of that, I was charged $ 2 for a bag of crispy noodles(that weren’t crispy because the Buddha Delight leaked all over it) and 1 $ each for 1 oz of hot mustard and sweet and sour sauce. What a rip!!! The only thing that was ok was the steamed rice.

Let me start off by saying this, the 1 or 2 star reviews are a straight up lie. The cute couple that runs this place has always made me feel welcome and well fed. All the food I’ve had here has been hot, fresh, and authentic(I’ve actually lived in China). The Mongolian beef here is definitely the best in town and the same goes for their hot and sour soup(it’s tangy, robust, and spicy instead of just being salty.) The way the owners treat me when I come in is worth a star on it’s own.

Maybe delivery is the wrong choice for this place, because this is the worst Chinese food I have ever had. I’m fairly certain the«crab» rangoons were bad(the cream cheese tasted like bleu cheese… which was very unsettling and I obviously didn’t eat them). The general tsao’s was not breaded and fried, and it was neither sweet nor spicy. It just didn’t taste like much of anything. I highly question whether or not the fried rice was even fried or if it was just white rice with some kind of brown dusting on it. Also, quite pricy(the delivery was, anyway), especially considering I threw a lot away since I wasn’t going to eat it again as leftovers(and I do not take waste lightly). My search for good Chinese food continues.

Just ate here for the first time and it was absolutely phenomenal. Best Chinese food in ABQ. The service is fantastic and the food is even better. The green chili egg rolls are incredible; perfectly crisp but meaty on the inside, and the green chili is actually spicy. The space is elegant and there is a very relaxing vibe. Can’t recommend this place enough!

I ordered their egg rolls, chicken potstickers, and Mongolian beef with rice for lunch to be delivered to my office. They delivered it in record time, but when I opened the bag of food, all the sauce from my beef dish had spilled out of the box and was ALL over the rest of the food containers and at the bottom of my bag. The Potstickers were soggy, greasy, and they were very bland. The egg rolls were crispy, but very bland with an odd sweet flavor that did not taste right. The Mongolian beef was just«ok». It had a little bit more flavor than everything else, but it was still lacking. The white rice was overcooked and barely even edible. I would not recommend this food, and most likely will not be ordering from there again.

Very Americanized. We got 2 combos and the vegetable fried rice. The chicken and vegetables was good but as usual the sweet and sour chicken had the red sauce you know they don’t make. The garlic chicken was very good but the portion was very small in the combo. Overall not bad for American Chinese in Albuquerque but not the best Chinese I have had in Albuquerque. The wonton soup was average as well.

I hope everyone changes their regular Chinese restaurant to Mandarin Chinese, because it is INCREDIBLE. Great and attentive service, always fast, comfortable atmosphere, and AMAZING food. The only thing that could make this place any better is if it were open 24 hours so I could get in my midnight cravings ;). Absolutely recommend.

We ordered the combination ciao fun. It had a nice smoky flavor and was full of meats and veggies not just all noodles like some places. The owner said she doesn’t use any MSG to our delight. The orange chicken was very light and fresh. It had almost a pastry like taste yummy. The snow peas and chicken we added garlic and it was also delightful don’t miss out come to this place for dinner or lunch.

OHBOY, please erase Panda Express in your memory! Best Chinese food in NM! Hey dude, trust me, as a Chinese, I never experienced delicious Chinese food in NM, but when I stepped into this restaurant and opened their menu, all the feelings brought me back to China! Even their orange chicken, which is absolutely not Chinese food in my eyes, was sooooooo yummy! For those gave one star or negative reviews, I would definitely say sorry to them, sorry, boys and girls, you just missed your Chinese gourmet journey in NM! By the way, the owner’s daughter is cute! MEMEDA!!!

You know there are some places you just love going to when dinner at home is not and option and you are craving something scrumptious… well, Mandarin does it for me. Before I get into my review, let me tell you that the 1 star ratings Mandarin has received are absurd and seem to be coming from people who sound like they’re idea of good chinese food is Panda Express. Don’t pay any attention to them. Do yourself a favor and visit Mandarin. The place is immaculate. Tables are clean and set before you arrive. You can tell the owners(which by the way are the cook and waitress) are whole-heartedly devoted to showing their customers a nice dining experience. The lady is so sweet and personable and the gentleman assists her in bringing your food to your table. Plate presentation is a big deal to me and Mandarin has yet to fail. I live 2 minutes away and so I try really hard not to go too often because I don’t want to tarnish it. They have many different lunch and dinner options. I’d recommended the Kung Pao Chicken and General Tso’s Chicken. FYI– their sriracha is tremendous. I’d recommend bringing a group of friends or family. Come hungry.

Garbage! I stopped by from Bernalillo and ordered the special fried rice and egg drop soup, on the way home. When I arrived home, luckily I eat half of the rice and after a few spoonfuls of the egg drop soup, I poured down the kitchen disposal. Later that evening, I threw up! Twice.!! Do yourself a favor and pass this place up.

My first time here at the suggestion of my 13 year old grandson. Typical Chinese atmosphere with husband/wife owners. Very nice and friendly. The food is excellent and I would come back and recommend others to try.

Ordered general tso’s chicken and orange chicken. Both were gross. The chicken was just all nasty chewy parts. At times I wasn’t even sure I was eating chicken. The flavoring was also very bland. I will never order food from here again.

This divey gem is hiding on Carlisle Blvd in an unattractive little strip mall. You would never know some of the best Chinese food in Albuquerque is right here. My family comes here often; it is one of our favorite«don’t want to cook tonight» choices. Once we ordered the Peking duck ahead of time — and next to having it in Shanghai — it was the best I’ve had in America. THEBEST hot and sour soup in the Southwest — no holds barred seriously — not kidding. Orange chicken is always yummy — a repeat order time and again. We always get the Chao Hofun with bbq pork and if you ask them to bring the chili sauce it makes it extra special. Potstickers… etc…yummy yummy yummy. And it’s never noisy. If you’re looking for good Chinese food — go here. Order from the Chef’s specials on the back of the menu for the really good stuff. This place has been here for a long time, but a few years ago it was taken over by new owners who have breathed new life and new deliciousness! Ah-Cho — the wife /owner — is cute as a button, and remembers everyone! She’s great!
