Worst Garcia’s in ABQ. Warning! Do not come to this Garcia’s… Long wait, horrible service. Been here for an hour and a half and still don’t have our food. Wait staff is and looks like they despise working here. #starving

Boring, tasteless food not worthy of the 1 star given. I tried all four dishes at our table and none were even marginally acceptable.

First restaurant in New Mexico, so far so good. I ordered the chicken enchiladas with rice and beans. These enchiladas are completely different from what I’m used to. It’s not wrapped but 3 fried tortillas stacked with meat in between. Chicken was tender and rice wasn’t dry. Beans was okay. A little bit too chunky for me. Definitely recommend this place if you want a express Mexican place!

The Huervos Rancheros with green chili was really tasty and the green chili stew was good too. We also enjoyed the hot fresh sopapillas for dessert! We’ll definitely come back again for some good Mexican food!

This location just took over as our favorite from another locally-owned chain of Mexican restaurants. We had eaten at the«other place» on Friday night and from the looks of things and the taste of the food we had, they’ve totally turned over their kitchen and wait staff — to their detriment. So we decided to try this place again, after over two years of not going there. We had basically the same meals that we had ordered on Friday night — Hubby had the brisket burrito and I had two tamales, both with beans and papas and a sopapilla each. The food was soooooooooo much tastier than at the«other place», the young man who I presumed to be the bus boy was Johnny on the spot with refills on tea, and the bill was about $ 3.00 less than Friday night’s to boot. Even though you are almost two miles further from our house than the«other place», we will be back for our weekly fix of green chile and brisket.

Just ate 2 brisket tacos here and they were absolutely delicious. For only 4 bucks, you get tacos plus 3 homeade sauces including fresh guacamole. I love this spot so much. Service was great and everyone was friendly. Will recommend to people and tell them to come here first before they go to Chipotle.

This location is tiny and super busy on weekend mornings. The service was super spotty… took 10 minutes of sitting at our table before our server even acknowledged us, grumpy baby and all. Anyway, the food is pretty solid, no-frills New Mexican. No real complaints there.

There is no way this place survives on being a restaurant. It must be a front for a drug service or something because the service was terrible beyond anything I have ever experienced before and the food was less than satisfactory for a Mexican food restaurant in ABQ. The place is also filthy dirty. I can’t even describe it. Gross When we get here they told us to sit where ever and a kid walked up and asked us what we wanted to drink. We ordered a coke and a horchata. He came back with water and iced tea. He then takes my girlfriends order and leaves. Her food came and I gave him my order. He then points to someone else that hadn’t even been to our table and said she is our waiter. WTF? So she takes my order and by the time I get it my girlfriend is well done and ready to leave. The food is where they redeemed themselves. Chili relleno burrito was average and the sugar cookies are worth getting if you ever end up here. This place is far below average Mexican food/service in this city but isn’t terrible food so I think 3 stars is perfectly fitting.

Ordered the breakfast burrito. Presentation was so so, however, after a couple bites I felt something was amiss. I cut open the burrito and inside I couldn’t tell what was meat, what was egg, or potatoes. It had no identifiable flavor which scared me(what the heck was I eating). After cutting burrito open I felt I was cutting into the stomach of some animal. Looked like partially digested food. Yuck

I love Garcia’s. I’ve always loved Garcia’s. But a big part of the dining experience is the service, and this place is really sub par in that area. The last two times we went, we had awful service with rude waiters. It made me sad because it’s closer to my house than the one downtown, but I guess we’ll just have to make the trip. Hopefully they will work out the kinks!

I love Garcia’s and what I love about this particular Garcia’s is you could come sit down and eat or you can get it to go. This particular location is like a Alberto’s in So. Cal or a Roberto’s in Vegas. The only difference is the food is far superior. Garcia’s is you best bet if your in need of a quick fix.
