Very good IPA, the Black Betty Stout went great with lunch. Had the buffalo chicken sandwich, definitely a good lunch option, was very filling. Just visiting Albia this weekend but will come here again next time I am in town and want a beer.

Very friendly folks, good food, and very good local brews. I recommend the Black Betty which is a nice stout without the bitterness. The owner, his wife, and Jessica made us feel right at home. Make certain to stop by if you’re in the area.

Great place! Delicious food. We came here as a large group for some beer and pizza. I was very surprised to have ordered one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. I definitely recommend the grilled chicken sandwich. Most of my group enjoyed a variety of the beers created on location. The root beer was a fun try. Unfortunately, the hours of this establishment are s little silly. They didn’t open until noon on Saturday, and when they did only had one server. We may be back if we make it to Albia again.

My favorite place to take friends and family for drinks and great food! The white pizza is amazing along with the shandy. Homemade root beer takes like melted candy. So good!

Amazing. Just perfect a must ! Excellent inevery way possible .The hospitality is great, Jessica is sincere and helpful, and knowledgeable. Barbara and Bob the owners are genuine. Food is presented well, tasty and priced right. We enjoyed a flight. Come sit at the bar, or bring the family. It’s # 1 on our list. What a pleasurable visit. ENJOY

Really good food and service. Everyone at our table loved their entrees and the service. The owner checked around at various tables to see how everything tasted — Friendly and helpful. I had a very, very delicious pizza. The crust was fabulous and it had tasty toppings and the sauce was really good… not full of spices but mild and one could actually taste the sauce and the tomatoes. This is a nice surprise as we had not been to Albia before. Went to visit the outstanding yarn shop next door and the owner recommended Albia Brewing. Would definitely go back again.

A terrific surprise on the town square of Albia. I have visited twice at lunchtime when in town for other committments and have been happy with the experience. It is wonderful to enjoy the beautiy of this historic building and the passion the owner has about preserving it. The food was good, but not amazing… although you can’t pass on the homemade chips. They are definitely addictive. Though I am not a beer drinker, my dining companion was and remarked that the owner knows what he is doing in the brewing process. The owner visited with us for a bit and is obviouly dedicated to this endeavor. I don’t know how he does it with all of his other obligations. I am hoping to try the patio, as the weather improves, and would love to make a trip back in the evening to see what the atmosphere is like. Since both of my visits were at lunch time during the week, it was relatively quiet. In a small town with few options, it is wonderful to see this idea has come to reality and appears to be gaining success.

If you’re in Albia, IA — this is a must! I’ve been there twice and sat on the patio both times. Definitely worth the stop.

What a GREAT brewery to be in Albia, Iowa! Delicious craft beer in an old historic building with a large back patio! Has a great view of the town courthouse. My husband and I came to visit my parents in Albia and HAD to make a stop here. We tried all their beers on tap and was not disappointed in any of them. The owner was super friendly and knowledgable in his beers. I’m so happy that this place opened and cannot wait to come back on our next visit. If you are close to Albia, make sure to try this spot!

Come for the local microbrews in an historic building with great atmosphere. As a California native, I’m admittedly a food snob, AND a vegetarian, so I’m a bit of a challenge. Tried the raspberry blonde(fun and light, fruity), caramel apple(black and tan), Bunker Hill Bock(sweet Guiness) and garlic breadsticks(hot, greasy, slightly undercooked), mozzarella triangles(avg), and vegetarian pizza(more than decent!) the house made potato chips look great, too. Gonna be a great patio for summer fun to be had!

Great in-house brews! Food on par for Iowa, meaning don’t expect the food to be as well crafted as the beer is; no wholesome organic close to the earth food to brag about here. Outdoor seating… yay! The brews are definitely a try.
