This is a duplicate review I am posting, because apparently this business feels the need to have two(2) different listings on Unilocal*. The only reason I am giving this place two stars instead of one is because they have a pool and that is something that you wont find in many locally-owned gyms in general, so at least they are trying… that is, if having a pool indicates you are trying. I drove around to area gyms during my lunch breaks to find the right one for me. Many folks recommended I check out Tony’s gym and told me it was the best. After looking at Anytime Fitness, and seeing their brand new equipment, I drove over to Tony’s Westside Athletic Club & Personal Training. I wanted to see what all the hype was about and see why their commercial says that the gym is «more safer» lol. The receptionist reluctantly provided me a tour of the property after I asked for one. I’m sorry but handing someone a rate sheet is not marketing. I asked how old the machines were because from a distance, seeing the equipment reminded me of my high school’s old football training gym. I got a snobby look and a reply«he updates the equipment about once a year». My tour consisted of walking down the hallway between the bathrooms and the equipment room, a point to the free weights area to know where it was located and«did you want to see the pool too?» with a «are you

Service is meh. The girls at the front desk can be bitchy. Equipment is good and it’s nice that there’s a woman section. Fitness class selection is poor though and not much going on weekends which is really mind baffling to me as I would think most people would want and have free time to go to fitness classes then… Yoga with Penny is great! That alone almost makes me choose this over the YMCA but that’s it.
