Stagecoach Coffee

Definitely my first choice of coffee shops when I’m downtown! Lots of great flavored coffee options & the wait staff is always welcoming. It’s typically quick to get in and out if needed & has good seating too if that is the case.

Glad I decided to stop here instead of Starbucks (which is right across the street). I ordered a small Chai Soy Latte and the barista made more than what fit in my large ceramic mug. So she left the extra behind the counter so I could add it to my cup if I wanted more. Definitely not something that Starbucks typically does unless you know someone working there!

I’m always up for supporting smaller business especially when Starbucks and DD are less than 2 blocks away. Stagecoach is worth it.
The coffee is solid and the baked treats are even better. A number of the treats are vegetarian or vegan. In addition, Stagecoach has an assortment of teas if coffee isn’t for you.
The space is small, so it’s perfect for a quick stop. However, if you can find space to make yourself cozy, I believe they have free refills.
If the vegan oatmeal chocolate cookie is there, get one but save one for me!

Delicious coffee every time I go in! And can not forget to mention their amazing treats they have every time. They are sooo good! They are right upstairs from where I work it’s a great place to start your day off the right way!

The best coffee in Albany, hands down. Their Stagecoach blend is amazing! I’m a regular here and love getting my morning cup of coffee here. Stay the same guys!

Great, cozy little shop with a nice personal touch. They have tasty pastries and cookies and make good hot chocolate.

Great place to relax and work. Friendly staff and atmosphere, good coffee and an excellent smoothie. Free wifi. Highly recommended.

Just had a wonderful double espresso, cinnamon bun and witty conversation with the barista, what more could you ask for in the morning? If you need the same, get your fix here.

I’m super proud to say I’ve been to both Stagecoach locations. And they’re both great. We stopped by the Albany location after staying at a nearby hotel. Naturally, it was a lot more urban than their quaint Cooperstown shop, but offered the same great coffee, baked sweets and comfortable atmosphere.
I could seriously spend all day in a shop like this just people watching, working on my laptop or reading.
Next time you’re in downtown Albany, stop by Stagecoach for great coffee drinks and a nice spot to relax. It’s one, er, two of kind.

This adorable little shop is right near my hotel. I have been there several times over a few years. There is a small indoor seating area. I’ve never seen any outdoor seating here – but that may be a function of the wintry timing of my visits. It seems most of their custom is take out. It’s not that you couldn’t come here and hang out, it’s just not really set up for the novel-​writing coffee shop denizens. They also lack seating for a group. They have some carby snacks available. During my last visit, the cook was mixing up a soon-​to-​be-​yummy bread at a table in full view of everyone. This place is so small, there’s no «In back.» Lovely lattes, good brew. Nice view of the street from their window bar seating. Friendly staff. Great feeling inside from patronizing a local indie business instead of the behemoth chain across the street. (Ok, I’m being selfish here – but the product holds up to the competition, so all else being equal – why not Stagecoach??). Also – because NEON!

I walked in about 10 minutes to closing so the guy working there was busy cleaning up and rocking out to music when I walked in. I got his attention and he apologized for not realizing I was there. It was ok by me because I was trying to figure out what to get. I ordered a hot chocolate and an apple spice bread. The hot chocolate was really good and he topped it with whipped cream for me. The apple spice bread was really moist and had just the right amount of cinnamon and nutmeg. It was a great way to warm up on a drizzly chilly day!

Don’t know what fuss is about. Went in morning with colleague and got a cup of coffee to go, was just like any other coffee.

The Starbucks across the street is a waste of space. This little café has a great house blend, awesome service and it adds that local flavor to Downtown Albany. I dove in after a morning run and as a newbie to the city, this little gem left its mark. I’m impressed!

This is a solid 4 star coffee shop. What can make it 5 star? Pastries!
This is a really, really small shop even for NYC standards so I get why they don’t have a good selection of pastries. They do have pastries but the selection is pathetic, however the coffee is in NO way pathetic. Coffee is absolutely amazing & customer service spot on.
If you’re in Albany for any event at conference center then take the quick walk around the corner to this coffee gem.

The Iced Coffee Mocha tastes great!
Bit on the expensive side. Approximately $ 5 – 6 for a large Iced Mocha (I think it was a 20 oz or 24 oz). There’s only 2 sizes, small and large.
Iced coffee is about $ 3 for a large. That also tastes good.
I prefer StageCoach over Starbucks. The prices are roughly the same.
They have a club card which for every 6 cups of coffee your purchase, you get one free!

I walked in tired and wishing I was still I’m my bed, but then the gentleman at the cash register was already having a great day, smiling and bobbing to the very nice jazzy music playing and the barista held a great, genuine smile. They were so friendly and welcoming and definitely brightened my day. I’ve never written a review, but my great first experience at stagecoach definitely called for one!

Good coffee and fair prices. If you like something a bit above dunkin donuts but aren’t a fan if Starbucks, this is your place. Friendly staff and a relaxed environment.

I love this place. Small Business with good heart and soul. The staff is great and always listens. They even ordered almond milk for me.
I would drink this coffee if given a choice over any other place.

I’ve been meaning to stop in here for a while, and I’m glad I finally did. We were greeted very cheerfully by the girl behind the counter. She was very helpful in letting us know what the flavors were and so on.
I got a vanilla decaf roast that was some of the best drip coffee I’ve had anywhere. The interior has a few tables, but certainly not enough that you could sit in there all day with a laptop and not be a hog of the tables. I’ll definitely stop back again.

Stagecoach offers everything a person could want in a little coffee shop. Locally owned. Friendly staff — really, they smile at you! A small selection of snacks. A handful of tables and a huge picture window with stools for people watching. A frequent flier punch card — buy six, get one free. A spacious counter for self-​sweetening and creaming. Raw sugar. Quality lids.
Oh and I must mention that their house blend far surpasses the flavor of two huge coffee chains which shall remain nameless. Really. I dare you to try it.
And the smiling bearded guy? He makes a MEAN caramel macchiato. Complete with perfect stripes of caramel painted delicately across the top of the foam. It’s obvious that this man makes sweet, tender love to the espresso machine, and I can taste it in every sip.
