This review is long overdue, but I bought a suit here last year and had a pair of pants hemmed earlier this summer. I initially went in to Mark Thomas because I was determined to find a local alternative to the big box stores, and it really paid off. The short of it: excellent customer service that will get you quality clothing at a fair price, with good tailoring included.
More details: My first time in here, I had recently graduated college and was looking to buy a new interview suit. I came in with a few ideas but no expertise, so the owner very patiently, thoroughly, and honestly walked me through all of my options in terms of price, quality, and style. I really felt like he was trying to meet my needs (including my budget) and make sure that I was satisfied, rather than just trying to make a quick sale. He answered all of my questions with a great attitude and treated me with exceptional professionalism and respect. He encouraged me to take my time and do some research to make sure I was 100% sure in what I wanted. He was also very grateful that I was intentionally shopping local and I appreciated that.
When I made my choice (a navy blue Jack Victor), I was very satisfied with the quality and the tailoring fit like a glove. It looks great and I get a lot of compliments; it feels like a success every time I wear it.
A year later I was back in town and needed a hem fixed on a pair of pants I had bought elsewhere, so I came in to get it tailored. I caught the second owner just as he was closing up shop. He was super apologetic and even offered to re-​open the store, even though the tailor had already gone home. I just told him I’d come back the next day, and when I did, the tailor fixed it right away, perfectly, and the owner wouldn’t even let me pay for it. «Just make sure you come back!» was all he would accept. I hadn’t even bought the pants from them!
All in all, maybe you can find a cheaper sale at a larger chain, but the customer service here is worth every penny! I had a great, consistent experience here and have recommended them to my friends & family.

I am a college student and went to Mark Thomas to purchase a new winter suit. They were incredible courteous and helpful, presenting me with a number of very good options that fit me well, only made better by their complimentary tailoring on the suit I ended up choosing. They also set me up with a very nice sport coat and gorgeous overcoat. They had a great eye for the sort of style that would fit me best, and I will definitely be returning when I am in need of something further.

My boyfriend had an out-​of-​town wedding and needed to be measured for a tux. The gentlemen at Mark Thomas’ were happy to take his measurements even though he wasn’t buying anything from the store. They were friendly, professional and you could tell they knew their stuff. The next time my boyfriend needs a suit or shirt, we will definitely buy from Mark Thomas. I don’t know how their prices compare to some of the chain stores, but for the customer service we got, I wouldn’t mind paying a little more.
