The best chicken I’ve tasted, you will want to bite the bone. This is the only place that we get flavored wingettes from in town. There taco shells and many other Mexican style food is here also. stop by you will not be disappointed.

Good tasting Mexican food. The only thing that needs improvement is wait time to actually get the food.

My wife and best friend recommended this place so I was cool with trying it when I suddenly craved Taco Bell. My wife suggested we go here instead. First, they do not seem to take anything but cash. That was fine today as I happened to have some. The prices are a bit expensive for what you get. The beef taco I ordered was about half the size of other places and about 50 cent more than what other places charge. The chimichanga was not very crispy for a fried tortilla. It was more like a soggy cheese wrap. My wife still enjoyed her chicken William special. The beef nachos were just that. Beef and tortilla chips and cheese. There was nothing else in it. Overall it was a bit skimpy. I have also saved my chief complaint for last. They used way too much salt. It was like someone dropped about a cup of salt in a pound of ground beef. There was so much salt in every beef dish. I wanted to drink another bottle of water just to offset my salt intake. I cannot remember a time when I ate so much salt in one dish. Unfortunately, it was kind of a bad first experience for me. I will give them another shot because they seem to be a family-owned small business and, because of recommendations, I will assume they are having a bad off day.

This spot reminds me so much of all of those taco trucks that were scattered all through San Diego. I lived in San Diego for over three years and due to the city’s close proximity to the Mexican border, there were plenty of these types of establishments and I ate at them frequently. Joe’s To-Go may seem a bit difficult to find at first. This restaurant is not in a typical building. In fact, it is a converted food truck with a small shaded patio area for eating. It is in the rather large shopping center with the Tony’s fitness and Dollar General where Dairy Queen is. The food is very authentic and very good. I like how the food is cooked to order. It makes it taste that much better. I love the tacos and burritos. The chimachanga is delicious also. They also serve wings in a wide variety of flavors. I normally get the Lemon Pepper or Garlic Parmesan flavors. The wings does the job. The only negative are the prices. Traditionally, Mexican food trucks are rather cheap and inexpensive. Here, the food prices are a bit higher than normal. That was the only reason why I didn’t give this place five stars. However, I will of course be back to get my Mexican food fix. And by the way, this is one of the very few places in the city that stays open until 4:00 A.M. on weekends for those late night after-the-club cravings.

Honestly, a little too authentic for my taste, I love cheddar dagnabit. My go to here is the lemon teriyaki wings. I frigging love them like a fat kid loves cake. Gimme. Even better wing attack at rediculously late hour? JOE’S HASYOURBACKBRO! Better half loves the Mexican bits. Nachos being the favorite. They don’t mess around and give you 90087654 chips and 3 little tomato niblets near what could almost pass for 1⁄8th cup of meat either. Your little aluminum tin of fatty happiness will be loaded. They get cheap on the sour cream sometimes so if you crave the dairy, you may want extra. I ordered the veggies on the side once and thought they accidentally gave me a salad instead of nacho toppings. Nope. These guys don’t mess around, hard earned cash gets rewarded with appropriate portions. Bottom line is quality food, good portions, excellent price. Worst case scenario is you leave your Joe’s to Go meal«just satisfied». Give ‘em a try.

I’m not the biggest fan of Mexican food but I had the taco salad with beef and it was surprisingly good. My wife had the shrimp tacos and she said they were ok but not great. They have a great location and have tried to pretty up the place but don’t expect much, they are a food truck

The Asada Tacos were great and the service was food truck fast. The atmosphere is incredibly relaxed and quaint. When driving by it is easy to miss because the back of the building faces the road and the front is facing the Dollar General. They have a traditional menu including all of the standard Mexican cuisine but what sets them apart is the 25 different flavors of Chicken Wings they have. I look forward to coming back and tying more of their menu!

Great place to eat. Plenty of outdoor seating and open late on the weekends. Food is flavorful with options ranging from nachos, tacos, salads, burritos, and more! My favorite dish is the William’s special. You can call ahead and order as well. If you love Mexican food like I do then you will like this place.

More of a permanent food truck, but same experience. This was recommended to me, and it was a Great Choice! Looks like they are continuing to make improvements, but no need with the food… it’s already great!

A little pricy but excellent. Location is excellent as well; right between downtown and the mall.

Excellent stop for food truck style Mexican. Definitely have to try it to believe it, and they have house made Horchata and Tamarindo. The William Special is queso excellence, and ask for the Mexican Coke in the bottle, it’s made with real sugar! You will have to wait as it is cooked to order, so quit ringing the bell and do a little talking or phone surfing.
