This is the first time I ordered from here, from what I could tell from the reviews this place seemed like a good new place to try. I ordered their daily special(large cheese pizza, 12 wings, 2 lt soda for $ 18.99), which is a very good deal. It was delivery, it took about 35 minutes to come. The pizza was actually very good, personally I like a little less cheese so the crust holds up, but that’s just me. The sauce was the best, the crust was traditional NY style, chewy and thin with good flavor. So far so good, then I tried the wings. I hate to say this but I’ve served wings for well over the last 10 yrs of my life, and I’m almost positive that these wings were refried. They were very cooked, dry, hard and saturated with grease, and the reason I think they were refried because you could not taste the garlic parm flavor, just the taste of the oil. I ended up eating two and threw them out. All in all I will def order from them again, but if I do decide to try the wings again, I will ask them to make them fresh and not overcook them.

Very accommodating workers and decent food. My friend and I were being very indecisive when it came to finding food this past Friday night. I wanted pizza, but where? I wanted cheap, yet decent food. Almost an hour later and driving random places, we decided to just go here. While it didn’t exactly fulfill the cheesy goodness I was craving, it was still satisfying. Located across the street from St. Peter’s, this place was desolate. I’m sure this place is frequented more during the day by nearby workers. It’s definitely a typical pizza place. They had pre-made pizzas lining the counter and a dozen bar stools for those who wanted to sit. They had a good 2 premium slices and can of soda deal for $ 5 which we took advantage of. I asked for a slice of barbecue chicken and buffalo chicken bacon ranch. The barbecue slice was the highlight; the red onions made the flavor pop. As for the chicken bacon ranch, I should know myself by now, I’m not a fan of ranch, but if I was, this slice was acceptable. It needed something in my opinion and, if it was buffalo, there wasn’t a drop of spice to be seen. So I ended up dousing it with hot sauce and I was good. After seeing a picture of their hot wings on Unilocal,we were curious so we ordered a dozen for about $ 10 and split. Of course, I ordered them extra saucy; just how I like’m! While the wings were cooked well and the sauce had a nice spicy and garlic flavor, the sauce was too runny, resulting in basically chicken wing soup. The wings wouldn’t hold on to enough hot sauce for us to really enjoy the flavor. My friend and I also like dipping our crust in hot sauce, but there was such a think layer of oil in the sauce that it was hard to penetrate to the good stuff. In the future I will refrain from ordering extra saucy from this place. I’m giving this place such a high rating because the service was superb. The worker was friendly, helpful, and went out of his way to accommodate us so late on a Friday. Overall, if I was in the area for lunch time I would have no qualms with taking advantage of their 2 for $ 5 deal, but I am still on the hunt for pizza that will blow me away.

We heard some great things about Cousins Pizzeria, which like its countless pizzeria predecessors in the same locale, is conveniently located across from St. Peter’s hospital on New Scotland. In the guise of a proper NYC slice, Cousins offers a chewy cardboard crust topped with overly salted and garlicky sauce and topped with generic mozzarella. The staff is miserly, the interior is uninviting, and the customers try to steal from the tip jar(I saw this happen on my first visit). The guy behind the cash register saw it too, yelled at the guy as he was reaching his hands in, didn’t ask the customer to leave, and then told me this happens quite a bit. Weird. 1 star for convenience/location and 1 star for quickness. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this pizza shop. My hunt for close local takeout pizza continues…

We’ve been in the neighborhood for a while so we’ve seen a bunch of pizza places come and go at this spot. When we first tried Cousins — about a year ago — we didn’t expect much but boy were we impressed. We are strict pizza eaters. We don’t need sandwiches or wings or anything fancy… just the occasional veggie topping and a side salad and it’s ALLGREAT. We love it that they make their sauce fresh every day. We love how they brush the crust with garlic flavored oil — it’s a delicious surprise and no one(not even the kids) leaves over the crust. It has become our go-to pizza spot. The only improvement I could hope for is better seating at the shop. Sometimes takeout is the best way to go but sometimes, it’s just nice to stroll over and eat there. The counters aren’t as comfortable as tables would be. Seating aside it’s our favorite pizza in Albany.

The best pizza I’ve had in a long time, mostly ordered off of the specials menu & I’m pretty loyal to the New Yorker & always get a dessert.(Would love extended hours, since I work late but when I can order it’s a treat!) Basically, great food, but not a place to order at 1am during a cram session.

I love Cousin’s Pizzeria. My sister introduced me to this place and I recently moved to the area. My family’s first meal was from this place and I’ve been ordering from them almost once a week and they never disappoint and delivery is on point. The pizza and wings are awesome!

Ordered the chicken bacon ranch pizza, garlic parm boneless wings and a calzone with ricotta and mozz. Pizza and boneless wings were kinda meh. The breading on the chicken was kinda dry and tough to get through. But the calzone is easily one of the best I’ve had around here. The thing was massive with perfect amounts of garlic and cheese. Will definitely order the calzone again.

Tried cousins for the first time ordered XL cheese pizza, medium buffalo wings, and grilled chicken Cesar salad with the homemade croutons. This is a high three star. I’ve been trying all the pizza places in albany and cousins was pretty good. I really liked our cheese pizza overall especially the smooth sauce and generous amount of cheese. The wings were good but I prefer them more saucy. They had nice flavor but I ordered them crispy and they weren’t super crispy. The parm cheese tasted more like provolone to me but overall good salad. I would absolutely order from them again and try some of their speciality pizzas next time. Solid joint. Delivery guy was friendly and delivery was on time as expected. About a 45min wait.

I love the pizza at Cousins. It’s a small, family-owned pizza place by St. Peter’s Hospital. The pizza is great and the owner is nice. I love the $ 5 lunch special of two pieces of pizza and a can of soda. I would recommend Cousins to anyone looking to escape all of the mediocre pizza Albany has to offer. Give it a shot.

If you could give a restaurant more stars than 5, Cousin’s Pizza would definitely earn all of the stars! This is the best food that I have had. In the past two months I have discovered the greatness that is Cousin’s and I can tell you I have not gone back to any other pizza place. The ingredients are always so fresh, each time I order an Italian mix sub the lettuce is always crisp and the tomatoes are a beautiful color. The honey barbecue wings are to die for! This place is truly the best pizza joint in the Capital District!

Tried cousins for the first time. Hate to say it but the cheese pizza was really only 2 stars for me. The cheese was the kind that gets clumped together and comes off all at once — not good. Dough was just ok for me — definitely not on the thin crispy side, more on the doughy side. Tomato sauce probably the one redeeming factor. The Caesar salad I got on the other hand was amazing– I think they said the croutons are homemade and the shaved Parmesan was so great. Guys behind the counter were nice, but unfortunately I don’t think this will be a go to pizza place.

Ordered from cousins last night and was happy with the food. The delivery time ended up being over an hour and a half(when they said an hour on the phone) but it was a Friday night, after all and I’m a delivery guy myself so I understand. That being said, maybe order earlier or just know you might wait awhile on a busy night. I was frustrated with the wait time and the fact that they didn’t answer their phone(assuming this was because by the time I called to check on my order, they were closing), but the food was good enough(and cheap enough) to make up for this. We got pizza and garlic parm wings and both were quite good. I like the garlic crust on the pizza, always a nice touch. Anyway, I’m being generous and giving 4 stars when the service wasn’t great(I live about 2 min away, an hour and a half wait is a bit lengthy) because I liked the food a lot. Definitely will order from them again sometime.

I have complained about the Pizza in Albany too all my friends to the point where they no longer care. Being from lower NY crispy crust goes a long way. After 3 separate pies I can honestly say I have found a pizza shop I truly enjoy in the capital. Thank you and keep it up.
