Chipotle Mexican Grill

Love this Chipotle location. Nice staff members. There is plenty of parking and seating.

One of the bigger chipotle places with lots of seating. Gets very busy though. Mostly high tables and chairs. Staff is good and helpful. Delicious as always.

Food awesome but service is wayyy tooo slowww! Im on lunch and the line is long and not moving because the front line servers have NO URGENCY! Moving too slow for such a busy spot! The Chipotle in Stuyvesant Plaza runs rings around these guys and gals on Wolfe Rd.
Other than the slow service I love everything else. Could have been a perfect score…

Quick easy good Mexican food, can’t really beat that. Service was good and the serving size was good as well. Matched experiences at other locations.

Amazing service, generous portions, overall splendid experience! Nathan and his team go above and beyond to meet the needs of arriving customers, they are stellar compared to the other Albany chipotle. I come here almost daily and I must say, it’s a pleasure coming in here every time!

What can I say — its Chipotle. Nice smiling faces behind the counter make you a nice fat burrito to make your belly happy. Always a good experience at this location.

This is my favorite Chipotle location in the Capital Region. The lines are never long like the Western Ave location. The staff is nice. The food is tasty and healthier than other fast food options.

Much preferred over Moe’s or another comparable… the difference is incredible. They have freshly cooked ingredients that you literally watch being made all day long fresh. The ingredients are very well done and you can taste the difference from other food chains or fast food places. The prices are fair for what it is too. Some of my friends say its a little pricey, but its healthy fresh ingredients… not garbage thrown together. Plus they serve alcohol! Its super nice to have a beer with a quesadilla I gotta be honest. lol The manager Nate is super awesome too. He is very respectful and very personable. Definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys mexican food and hasn’t tried here yet. Fantastic.

As with most Chipotles outside of NYC, the burrito making was on the slow side. They don’t have the hustle that the NYC Chipotle employees do.
They make up for it by being a little bit cheaper. And of course, the food is just as good.

One thing: the rice smelled odd one time but I haven’t had the issue again. I hope it stays that way.

I’m a chipotle lover and this location never has consistent service. During weekdays at lunch the staff is on point, during weekends the staff is always confused, frustrated, and unfriendly. I thinks it’s due to the fact that most time the weekend crew don’t even seem to get along with each other. It reflects on the presentation of the food and cleanliness of the stations. The food is always the same as far as taste and being delicious; minus cold chips, but Chipotle’s are known for great service all over the country and I hope this one can step up.

This is a family favorite. We take our two grandchildren to this location when we go to the mall. We even eat here when we go to the mall without the grandkids. We just don’t tell them.
As a vegan it is very difficult to find a really good place to eat and not worry about what might be in the food. The ingredients always is fresh, the pans are refilled all day. The portions are large and you can get refills on the drinks.
The seating is comfortable and we can always find a seat. Looking forward to my next visit.

As far as Chipotles go, this is my favorite in the area. It’s always clean, fast and close to everything else. My favorite is the grilled chicken salad with mild salsa, corn and sour cream but the tacos can be quite good as well. Definitely try the online ordering if you’re in a hurry. This location has great bar seating so you can almost always find a seat if there’s just two of you.

Great food! Small area just off the main path of central avenue. Amazing deals for the price. Always get the bowls there. Forget Taco Bell. Great seating area available from benches to high tops. Forget the stereotypes of a hipster vibe. Great healthy alternative for lunch or dinner

Chipotle, my go to when I’ve had a bad day. Pairs well with Brooklyn Lager. I always order the same thing: Chicken Fajita Burrito with white rice, a little mild salsa, hot salsa, sour cream, cheese, and lettuce. I like this location the best (compared to Stuyvesant Plaza and Niskayuna) because when you get a side of chips and salsa THEY TAKE THE TIME TO FILL THE SALSA DISH UP ALL THE WAY!!!
So, I’m a little excited how they fill up the container all the way. None of the other locations do and it is just so frustrating especially when you’re sharing your chips and salsa with a chipotle hound (aka fiancée). It really does make all the difference.
It was a delicious burrito and I will frequent this location again (even though Stuyvesant Plaza is actually closer. It is busier because of all the kids at UAlbany). Thank you Chipotle for making my night better and belly full.

First timer at Chipotle. I’ve heard many good things and I have to say I wasn’t disappointed. That’s about as much good tasting food that won’t kill you that $ 7 will buy.
Had the brown rice with chicken bowl. The salsas were good. All the ingredients seemed fresh, which is tough to do in a setting like that.
2 very minor drawbacks– a little heavy on the cilantro. (I’m not a fan, but if you are, you’ll LOVE it). And I’ve sat on cactus more comfortable than their chairs.
Other than that, Chipotle was awesome. Fast, friendly service with a clean, cool-​looking place. Definitely going back.

Update– Order online is awesome for Chipotle, use it! Esp at this location around lunchtime.
I like Chipotle this location is no exception. Nice new interior, great location.

Stuff about Chipotle in general…
Barbacoa– simply awesome.
Freshness!!!- Once you have been to Chipotle a few times and seen how quickly the items in the warmer/​cooler trays turn the food prep bar at Moe’s is straight-​up disgusting. If you don’t think so watch closer.
Consistency– Only maybe once have I had a negative experience at Chipotle.
Commitment to naturally raised ingredients– Wish everyone did this.
Still shade too expensive (worth it because of above) and I wish chips were a cheaper side, but I’ll live as my chubby ass doesn’t need the chips anyway.

This Chipotle location is mostly the same as every other I’ve been to, with it’s clean minimalist interior. Except the interior of this one seems just a touch more upscale, maybe it’s the lighting or the building itself. As for the food; very tasty lime cilantro rice, juicy well seasoned chicken, and big servings. i usually split an order of tacos with someone else, and find myself satisfied.
Service here was quick and efficient, and the line moved fast, which is always a good thing.
Ample and open seating, unlike another Chipotle location not too far from this one, where I always feel like I need to mutter the more intimate details of my conversations.
Apparently their meat is more friendly, the veggies are from places more close to home and they’re just all around more ethical. How do I know this? Because Chipotle makes it a point to tell me this on all of their packaging. I found it clever and interesting at first, but now it almost makes me roll my eyes. I get it Chipotle, you’re awesome and doing good for the planet. It would be great if instead of just saying what it is Chipotle does, if they could tell their customers what they can do to continue on this path once they leave one of their locations.
4 stars for the food, service, and layout.

Integrity: adherence to moral and ethical principles; soundness of moral character; honesty OR the state of being whole, entire, or undiminished. Well maybe it is ethical to use locally grown stuff and hormone-​free or antibiotic-​free meats and have «green» buildings, but I felt a little «un-​whole» and diminished after paying $ 10.80 for essentially fast food and unsweetened ice tea.
I got my usually burrito: no rice, chicken, black beans, guacamole, and hot salsa. It was good. Much less salty than Moe’s. No stupid greeting. No stupid names for the food that have nothing to do with the food item (major pet-​peeve of mine). The staff was a little more attentive than the half-​baked (ah-​hem) counter staff at most Moe’s. It was good, but it is almost double the price of Moe’s which is why I’d like to give it 3.5 stars, but because they use «ethical» food I give ‘em 4.
Parking is much better here then it is at Moe’s on Wolf Road.
