Wellness On The Spot

Our workplace was scheduled for massages this morning and they were a no call/​no show. This is rude and unacceptable. We had to make special accommodations and arrangements to have them here and now they will not show. I had to actually call to find out what was going on. Finally got a call about 5 minutes to 10 (they were supposed to be here by 9) Don’t count on this place to be reliable.

Sara gave me a great massage! I had a knot in my upper shoulder blade and she did an awesome job trying to work out the kink. Just what I needed to help alleve some of the pain.

Damn it if this wasn’t a good experience! I wondered onto the chair — desperate since my neck and shoulder decided to mutiny and go out on their own. None of the table, full scale massage joints had openings and I needed one NOW. I decided to take a chance with a chair massage. They don’t take appointments; It’s first come first served. The masseuse was very nice, almost unassuming. She asked what brought me and I told her about my neck and scapula region. She went right in. She asked about the pressure and told me what she was doing. I knew things were going to be ok when she stopped at my regular knots, digging in, giving it time to work out.
This was not your «recently arrived from a communist country and figured out a way to make a buck» massage (all of you folks who hunt for a good deal know what I’m talking about). This was a professional massage and the fact that I was paying less than half the price for what I needed done makes this a great value. I will be going back regularly.
I removed one star for the ambience. The chair is located in the middle of a shopping center. It’s busy and loud. Not the most relaxing environment but if you need to get something worked out, this is your place.

Decided to give this a try, did a ten minute session that felt great and relieved some post-​workout soreness leftover from a day or so ago. Taryn took excellent care of me and I’ll definitely be back.

Whenever I need just a little relaxation and relief, the On The Spot folks are great. I get regular table massages twice a month, but these shorter chair massages help inbetween. I usually go to the Alameda Marketplace, usually not too noisy. Recommended.
