Lunch pad thai was still a serious portion. Flavor could have had more peanuty sauce and more broccoli. OMG the spicy soup with my meal was AMAZeBallz!!! I want to try to make something like it in my crockpot

Just to keep it short and simple, great food but horrible service and the wait is ridiculous. There have been multiple occasions where I ordered for pick-up and they quoted me 20 minutes and once I arrived there, I had to wait an additional 20−30+ minutes! That is absolutely absurd. If it’s going to take awhile for my food to be ready just simply quote me an hour instead of saying 20 minutes and have me waste my time waiting.

Their food taste so good! Toomies is my flavorite ever! love their flavor come with nice portion:) (Everytime I come their I got left over for another meal:) I have tried many dishes, I will describe you some; Pad thai, Padseeew, Spicy noodle** are all delicious noodle! I have them depend on my mood. Their«Thai fried rice”**was so goood too! It not soak .It just perfect cooked. I love Thai fried rice here so much which I think that it much better than fried rice that I have tried in Thailand, honestly. Must try! «Salmon Pumpkin curry» is my favorite! I love the way they cook the pumpkin, not too hard and very good match with the curry Their other curry are yummy too; red curry, green curry, yellow curry . Must try no matter what the color of curry is it still delicious. if you like noodle let try Curry noodle! Sooo goood Other dishes which I didn’t mention are delious too, but it will be too long for read; peanut sauce medley, crispy duck, basil duck… etc And … they have lovely desserts like Mango sticky rice:)my favorite, fried banana with coconut ice cream, fried banana cheese cake. Their dessert still come in nice portion which you can share! .And please try Thai ice tea Note ; –the level of the spicy can be adjust from not spicy to very very spicy(even the food’s name was spicy noodle) I’m very hungry now :)…

The food is okay but I had better. The yellow curry, I feel, doesn’t have as strong of a coconut taste as it should. The pad thai and pineapple fried rice were really wet for some reason but flavorful. The papaya salad was really salty. Cringe worthy salty. I do recommend the satay chicken. Very soft and tender. The peanut sauce was on point. The service was a bit… meh. It took a really long time for another dish, the pad see ew, to come out so we thought they forgot. We didn’t want to trouble them to make it last minute but it ended up on our bill. We notified them and they said it was made and asked us to take it even though we were finished and they know we had dessert. We waited a bit longer and it finally came out in a to go box. I feel like they recently made it and they actually did forget because it took a ridiculously long time for it to come out. Whatever, since it was us who ordered it initially.

The older Asian waiter in the front is rude and looks like he smells. when we ask for the sauce with the waitress, She acts like they don’t know what it is. The chili sauce that’s comes with the Thai food usually! Then the food came, the papaya salad was not good and had a taste of old fish sauce! Bad service and over price food! Do not eat here! Warning! Warning! Bad service and bad food! Came home and had stomach pain all week from the salad and bad fish sauce!

Maybe a 3.3? Is the fuss really warranted? I’d venture to say that their cuisine is just a tad above average, presented in a warm and comfortable restaurant setting. This alone is perhaps cuts above the rest. Would I drive to Alameda just to eat Thau food? Nope. But would I return? Maybe. 3 diners– we each paid around $ 25 with one non alcoholic drink each. They get 1000 stars for being so polite and kind; didn’t notice that the restaurant had closed,& we were still throttle in the conversation. Didn’t say a thing to us. We felt awful for delaying them and apologized repeatedly. Very kind.

Great place for a first date or take out! A little romantic on with the low light, Pumpkin chicken curry and Pad Thai are my two favorites! Fast friendly services and good for lunch or dinner! Cheers & Enjoy. My review is short and sweet just like this place!

Easy online order and pick up, ordered red curry with extra eggplant and spice. And it was perfecttttt! Great chunks of eggplant, perfect heat, enough to sting but not kill the flavor. Will come again without a doubt! Only complaint is difficulty finding parking around it. But worth it. Green curry was delicious too! Great flavor

Walked by this place a couple times and decided to try it. The interior was nice and the staff were friendly. I was a little skeptical about this place going in as there were hardly anyone in here(there were like 3 of us dining in) and majority of the orders were take out which is rare to find a upscale restaurant to have that option and is a very nice option. We ordered padseeew, beef salad and the seafood hotpot. The beef salad was on the little too sweet side for me, but adding extra peppers and some fish sauce cancelled out the sweetness and the beef were pretty chunky so it was a little chewy, but overall it was pretty good. The seafood hot pot was very flavorful from the soup to the seafood within it, but the hotpot pot was an odd shape and made it awkward scooping out the broth and seafood. The pad see ew was my favorite dish. Super flavorful and cooked perfectly. The down side is that this dish took the longest to come out, but definitely worth the wait. The price is kinda of expensive and in the beginning it took a while for someone to check up on us as we wanted chopsticks and some condiments. My partner ended up walking up to the register to ask for them. Overall, i was pleased with our meal and will be coming back to try other dishes they offer

This is definitely my favorite Thai restaurant in Alameda! The food is delicious and they are never super busy when I go. The pad thai, pad kee mow, and pad see ew are on a whole other level compared to some of the other thai places I eat at. For dessert, try their mango sticky rice! This is the only thai place that doesn’t skimp out on mangos, rice and even the sweet coconut sauce. I highly recommend you try this place!

Pumpkin curry and pad thai are delicious! The curry is just the right amount of spicy and packed with flavor. Their finger lumpias are a great light appetizer. Not your traditional Filipino lumpia but still a good snack because it’s light, crispy, and flavorful. Service is excellent and there’s plenty of seating. I look forward to coming back to try more of their dishes as their menu goes on and on. Authentic and comforting Thai food.

Alameda has a multitude of restaurants to choose from on just Park St. alone! Had not even noticed Toomie’s til recently. We had been to a few other Thai restaurants in town, but our favorite one was no longer in business. Happy to say that I think we have found a worthy successor in Toomie’s to take their place. The following is what the 5 of us shared: Pad Thai with Chicken. This is my «go to» entrée when visiting a place for the first time, and their’s was delicious!(4 stars) Spicy Fried Rice with Beef. Extremely good with a nice kick!(4 stars) Pad See Ew with Beef. Yummy! May have liked this noodle dish the best.(4.5 stars) Beef Basil. My least favorite, but still tasty.(3 stars) Yellow Curry with Chicken. Flavorful and satisfying!(4 stars) Mango with Sticky Rice. Terrific ending to a lovely meal!(4.5 stars) We had plenty of leftovers to share the next day. To tell you the truth, I enjoyed their Thai food even more the next day! The leftovers were even better! Highly likely that this will not be our first time here! I’ll be back!

I’m always craving pad thai and Toomie’s Thai by Mee Choke sadly did not satisfy. Noodles were over cooked and the whole dish was lacking depth in flavor. I do have to give the staff credit for being very nice and friendly. I ordered to go but the restaurant looked nice and intimate; probably good for a date night but I personally wouldn’t return for dinner here.

They now have delivery through Eat24. No minimum and $ 2 delivery charge. Green curry was SUPER thick and probably premade. Coconut milk was overpowering, couldn’t taste anything else, like lemongrass or ginger. I specified low salt and it was very salty. Skip the salmon here, they cook it till it’s bone dry. Tossed it in the garbage. Seriously it’s like canned tuna in filet form. When ordering it does not specify dishes include rice, of which I would have requested for brown, now I have a truckload of white rice in the garbage. How wasteful. Pet peeve of mine, why use containers that barely contain the food? A big skip. $ 56, 3 items including tax, tip and delivery.

Really cute, quaint Thai restaurant. First timer here, came for their lunch special, which is M-F, 11AM to 230PM dine in only. For just under 9 $, I got a ginormous plate of red curry, tasted great… but a little too saucey for my liking. My rice ended up becoming lost in the curry sauce soup. Service was OK, nothing extravagant. Parking is a bitch, street parking only& metered! So bring the quarters!

Park St in Alameda is home to a lot of restaurants, but like most places w/a lot of restaurants, only some of them are any good. Toomies is on Park, near Santa Clara. I met my brother and sister here for lunch to go over some family biz. My brother was late, so my sister and I started off w/fish cakes and papaya salad. First of all, the fish cakes were very good. They were nice and crispy, and went very well w/the relish: 4 Stars. Secondarily, the papaya salad was also very good. There was a good crunch to it, and the sauce was sour w/a little heat that contrasted well vs the sweetness of the papaya: 4 Stars. For our entrees, we shared crispy duck, pineapple fried rice w/pork, and pad thai w/shrimp. I can’t remember how much everything cost, because my brother paid. However, the total bill was $ 60 for 5 items(no drinks). First of all, the duck was fantastic. It was nicely crisped, and bursting w/flavor. The veggies and sauce paired well w/the duck: 5 Stars. On the other hand, the fried rice was just so-so in my mind. I already don’t like this dish, but to me it seemed like it didn’t have much flavor: 3 Stars. Lastly, the pad thai was too wet. In addition, it was not served w/lime: 3 Stars. The ambiance is fairly nice. There are some decorations that look traditionally Thai: 4 Stars. However, the service was a bit spotty. We had to ask the waiter to refill our water glasses more than once, and he was not proactive at all: 2.5 Stars. My yf Jane L is a Thai food expert, so I was not surprised when I saw her 3 Star review. She also noted the bland food and wet pad thai. I guess I would come back here if someone asked me. However, I would not on my own accord, because the food is not that special.
