Nice baristas, my husband likes the coffee here. Patty is really nice!

Love the coconut cream latte. Sweet with hints of coconut. Location looks out on park st, which I enjoy. Workers are nice and get the drinks out quickly.

I went in with the intention of trying something new(the low calorie breakfast sandwich) the girl behind the counter seemed barely coherent after I asked her several questions about several items including said breakfast sandwich. She seemed uninterested in being there altogether and with no enthusiasm stated she had never tried the sandwich herself, however they were popular according to her. I ordered the ham and gouda sandwich big mistake. the egg looked like a rubbery mass of yellow plastic and the ham looked like a piece of turkey jerky. It was so unappetizing to look at I could not bring myself to even take a bite! SO i wanted a refund. After asking several times for a refund one girl grumbled she was on her break and exasperated, went back to get the manager. He came out and was friendly enough and refunded the card. I look at my bank account today and there is no indication of the refund on my card. So I am Unilocaling this whole experience because I am pretty upset about it. I am never going to this Peets again because it was not a good experience I gave a tip and everything the girl ringing me just looked blankly at me with no response try not to come in to work after partying so hard the night before.

Decent desserts. Typically good service, Outdoor seating facing a busy Central Avenue. Open until 10pm!(Who drinks coffee that late?)

Re: cold coffee. I like Peets it is the best. It is my «go to «when I go out for coffee. The staff, customers, and ambiance are low key. I get a good vibe there. In short ! I am tired of getting cold coffee at Peets. Here’s the deal. I order coffee with shots added. The register clerk pours your coffee and then puts your cup in que along with those customers in front of you. As you sit there enjoying the ambiance, chatting with other patrons, soaking up the good vibe, your coffee gets colder and colder and colder. So if there is no line. There is no issue. If there are numerous customers in front of you. Your shots added to coffee drink will be luke warm at best. And if you add any cream at all. It will be cold. I understand the theory of dividing the division of labor from the overtasked baristas to the register guy/gal and having them start your drink. I disagree with that particular practice in this drinks creation. The result is A cold cup of jo. A good espresso drink is worthy of any wait of any length. A cold espresso drink is not worth the money or the wait. Who wants a cold espresso drink.

I like this Peets since it’s at a convenient location. Well wifi doesn’t work so I just know not to use it. But my main complaint is that I don’t think the staff are doing a good job in keeping their bathrooms clean. One of the bathrooms smells really stinky, and the second time I used it after a while later, it still smelled awful. I loose my appetite after I come out. And it does affect how I as a customer look at the business because you guys make my drinks and the staff probably use the bathroom too… I hope you guys will fix this soon so I don’t have to frown at the idea of coming back just bc of the bathroom…

My 1st time here at peets. The person at the front, michelle, has EXCELLENT customer service. I tried the iced caramel macchiato and loved it. Left surprised and refreshed at the good service i had received. Will definitely be coming back!

My hometown’s neighborhood Peet’s… always a friendly staff and really well made coffee :) Can’t go wrong even when the line is ridiculously long!

Excellent customer service on 12÷20÷15 by the young Asian guy behind the counter around closing time. Tried the Jasmine fancy tea and it was delicious. I usually go to Starbucks but I may opt for Peets more often now. Apparently there is a developmentally disabled young man with Down’s syndrome who frequents the store. I could overhear the staff interacting with him and they treated him with so much respect and dignity. It is how you treat the disadvantaged and marginalized in society that shows true character.

The manager here is Heidi and she is super fantastic. I waited in line for a cappuccino and she came out with two cups asking who wants one. I raised my hand and what do you know? It’s mine! She disappeared, but I waited for her to come out. Handed her a tip because that would’ve been the funds I use on the cup. The crew here is super friendly and efficient. Bonus for not being busy or rowdy.

Would be 4 star if the internet was faster. Taking me awhile just to write this review, as my internet connection creeps along. Unlike another reviewer, I like the tables outside. I actually LOVE them. Love the umbrellas that will shield me from the suns ray as I struggle to make an internet connection. The tables and wi-fi are what brought me here today. As for not being as communal than the previous benches(as another poster mentioned), I am actually at this moment witnessing a beautiful communal moment. A young lady in a green hoody passed the full tables, each full with one or two people, and so she asked the older man, who has been asking people what time it is for the last 40 minutes, if she could sit at her table. He asked her the time, and she sipped her coffee, and then minutes later she asked if he had seen any good movies lately. And now they are talking about the movies they have seen. By the way, she just mentioned she is 24, and he looks about 55. He is mentioning how he saw jaws as a kid and it freaked her out like Goosebumps did to her. They just exchanged names and said nice chatting. So its really a nice inter generational communal moment. It has me with a gentle smile at my computer. To further counter the non communal comment Samuel B. made, another woman just passed me as I have my legs in some folded up pretzel position, «Be glad you can still sit that way.» And she smiled and laughed. I laughed and said, «It feels most comfortable.» Now there’s a Alameda regular spinning, singing, arms outspread as if to fly, listening to his music through earbuds, singing some song about an angel. I might actually increase this review next time if the wi-fi improves, as I am having a lovely time here experiencing my Alameda community.

As a local Alameda resident & business owner I feel the need to post this review. As a business owner I believe«you are only as good as your team» the team here at Petes on Park Street namely(Michael, Cary, Tom) are truly on point at every level of customer service, they conduct themselves as if they were owners not simply employees. As a business owner that’s gold, and as a patron one feels welcome as if not just picking up a coffee at another chain. Petes can be proud of these team players, and you’ll feel at home here. Also kudos to the manager, sorry I forget her name, I recall when she handled a hostile erratically behaving customer in a way that I was really impressed with. She stepped in to protect the store and her customers and did not just stand by. Rick.

DOUCHEMOVE, TAKINGOUTTHELONGWOODENBENCHESTHATUSEDTOLINETHEOUTSIDEWALLOFTHESTORE. Now, instead we have 3, COUNT ‘EM, THREE crappy, rickety little tables with 4 chairs each. So far less seating, & far less communal energy.(They also reduced the number of seats inside as well, so they could put more junky merchandise out to sell.) Still a great place for coffee and tea drinks, but far less space and a little colder and less inviting than it used to be.

Final they have cold Bree iced coffee. But the surprising twist is their black tie drink. Cold brew iced coffee + condensed milk. Perfect.

Love my home location! Staff is wonderful as always. Everyone recognizes the Dee Dee cappuccino here, triple bone dry cappuccino hand tamped with Garuda beans. A perfect cap is espresso with very dense foam so the sugar can stand on the top of the foam. When properly tamped and espressed, it creates a perfect balance of crema that melts in your mouth. One you’ve tried how it really should be made, you will never have it any other way… know… its a mouthful but this store gets it right! Today when I went in, I also noticed the display of Mighty Leaf teas. Match made in heaven! The high quality of brand of Peets should be complemented by no less than the great teas of mighty leafs… great job Team Peets! Until next time, bon appetit. Ciao!

This location consistently delivers quality drinks. Tom always makes very nice latte art for me and it always makes my day! Perhaps everything is fresher due to bring the closest to their roasting plant and training lab? Products are usually fully stocked and I never had an experience where they didn’t have anything in particular out of stock. Customer service is always friendly and efficient. Sometimes during lunch or dinner hours, parking can be difficult to find, but there is usually free parking a block away that has room.

I’ve received fast and friendly service every time I’ve come to this location. Drinks were always made to my liking, which is another plus. The only complaint that I have with this location is their customer traffic flow. It seems like it is backwards. The order counter is to the left of the pick up counter and when there is a line, customers picking up their drinks are bunched up in the corner. I’ve once seen a customer holding a tray of hot drinks get bumped by another because it was pretty crowded causing her to spill some of her drink(s) onto herself. Perhaps a reverse of that workflow would be better since there is more room to the left and people can spread out more.
