My boyfriend and I love Domenico’s. The family is awesome and the sandwiches of course are delicious. Really, really good.

I had the best egg salad sandwich ever! Egg salad was made fresh and it was perfectly seasoned. Woman that was preparing it for me grabbed two hardboiled eggs and fixed the salad right then. All the veggies were sliced very thin, which made the whole sandwich just perfectly balanced and possible to bite! Isn’t that awesome?! Every single bite had a little bit of everything. Every single bite was same and super delicious. They take time to make every single sandwich and every single bite to die for. Well worth your time!!! I am ready for more!

One of my favorite places in Alameda. I love that it’s family-owned. There’s often a long wait but I chalk that up to their being so popular. The sandwiches are so fresh and delicious that I don’t mind the wait at all. The owners are very friendly. I love the selection of chips and specialty drinks, too. I’m originally from PA and this is the closest thing I can get to a hoagie out here. I’d even say their sandwiches are superior to most hoagie shops on the east coast.(Shhh…don’t tell my friends in Philly). The only downside is that they are cash-only, but there is an ATM across the street. Simple.

I’ve been coming here for my lunch breaks two or three times a week for a few months now, and everything was fresh & delicious every time. I usually get a ham & cheese on a Dutch crunch roll, and these guys do not skimp with their ham. There have nice, old-fashioned sodas too. The only thing to keep in mind is that they’re cash only, but there’s an ATM right across the road. Great spot for lunch, I foresee myself coming here regularly for a long time.

This is definitely my favorite deli in Danville /Alamo /San Ramon. Had a great experience from a customer service perspective today. At the point of paying at the register they had a problem connecting to the bank using my debit card. They came back and said«your lunch is on us, it’s our problem to fix.» I offered to pay by another means and they insisted that the lunch would be comped. That’s an example of great customer service. I will always remember Domenico’s Delicatessen and will always recommend them to everyone looking for a great deli in the area.

So I hate doing negative reviews especially when there are so many positive one and it’s a small business. However, that said here are my problems with Dominicos: 1) when we walked in there were two women working on some sandwiches. Neither of them greeted us. 2) we waited as they helped people who called ahead to order sandwiches and allowed others to pay before greeting us, acknowledging our existence. All I expect is «hi, we are working on a few orders ahead of you it will be about 10 minutes.» 3) when asked about how long it would take, she rudely replied less than a minute. We always get you as fast as we can. –a that wasn’t true and b, it was the first time they even spoke to us 4) when finally taking our order, 15 minutes after arrival, the young woman was very condescending to us. 5) while the food was great I took off 3 stars for horrid customer service.

Love, love, love! This is the BEST Italian Deli in Alameda, and a MUST go to if you’re ever craving a Homemade Deli Sandwich. The customer service is remarkable! My fave is the Smoked Turkey w/Smoked Cheddar on a Soft roll. Please give them a shot, it’s worth every penny!

An Alameda institution, this place has been consistently good for the 10+ years I’ve been going here. Dominico’s is a real Italian deli, and is definitely ingredient driven. Chicken breasts with avocado, jalapeños, pepper jack, on Dutch crunch is my go-to.

Great sandwiches. Great service. A must for lunch if you’re in alameda. This place is family owned and they treat the customers like family too. I’ve never had a bad experience here. It’s cash only which to me just adds to the charm of the mom and pop atmosphere.

20+ minutes wait inline just to order even with only 2 ahead of me. Cash only Tuna sandwich was pretty good, but nothing special. Nice people.

Had the tuna sandwich yesterday. It was delicious! Everything was fresh and made with a lot of care. The owner Michele wanted to make sure I had a great experience. And I did. I also enjoyed hearing about the store– been with the family for over 50 years(different location). Love that the shop has been serving quality food for generations and going strong.

Always ordered the same sandwich from them. Love at first taste! They’re also the only spot I know that still sells Dad’s famous root beer. Ask to get your sandwich toasted! It melts everything down to one awesome bite. Throw in a bag of Maple Bacon, Salt & Pepper, or Jalapeño chips and you’re good to go! Order: Dutch crunch, chicken breast, bacon(sometimes), lettuce, tomato, banana peppers, pickles, onions, provolone, olive oil, honey mustard, and avocado.

This is a hidden gem in Alameda. I recently discovered this place a few months ago and now it’s my go to when I’m craving a good sandwich! I’ve never really been a huge fan of sandwiches, but I have to say this place really impressed me. It’s fairly small inside with limited seating and very old-fashioned décor, but the service is always great. Everyone who works there is friendly and willing to answer any questions you might have. There’s usually only two servers so there’s often a bit of a wait, but I promise you it’s worth it. It is on the pricier side for a sandwich(around $ 6 – 7 depending on what you get) but all their ingredients are incredibly fresh and you can customize to your liking. I always get the turkey avocado(with everything on it) on a sweet roll and it never disappoints. I’ve also tried the pastrami sandwich which is just as good!

Old school Italian deli on Webster street. As a first timer, I was impressed with my baked turkey sandwich. The ingredients were high quality and fresh. The service was really friendly. Seems to be a family business. I can see myself being a regular here.

The food here is amazing! Sometimes you have to wait a while, but that’s only an indication of how popular and delicious they are! Highly recommend!
