Very last minute but I’ve been here before and service never disappoints. The owners are very hands on and provide some of the freshest flowers daily. Prices are about average and they are accommodating. I was quoted two prices, one with and without a vase. Ended up paying $ 35 dollars for a dozen white and red roses with a hint of purple, wife’s favorite color. The assortment was just what I needed to go with my dessert surprise. They offer call in orders and will help you with whatever special occasion you may have.

After discovering that not every florist does large funeral arrangements and sprays (who knew?), a friend and I ordered a large funeral wreath from Alameda Floral Design for another friend’s funeral. They are located within a block of St. Joseph’s Basilica. We met with Sherly in person, rather than placing the order over the phone, because the colors we needed to use (to represent various facets of this person’s life) were all very strong (red, blue, yellow) and we weren’t sure how to include them without it looking garish or like a 1^st grade primary color chart exploded. ;).
Sherly (and the other florist who was there that day) were more than happy to meet with us and go over some of our ideas and offered some of their own. We never felt rushed; on the contrary, they took a lot of time with us as I scrutinized every detail. It had to be perfect. There wasn’t anything «in the book» that appealed to us in total, but we were able to take bits and pieces of ideas from the various picture samples she had and from pictures I pulled down from the web. I feared that Sherly might groan at all of my «must haves», but she was wonderful about the whole process. I was very specific that the red flowers HAD to be roses, I didn’t care how many it took — no «filler flowers» that were red. The blue flowers HAD to be true blue, not purple (which is often what you get when you ask for «blue» flowers). I’m not a fan of baby’s breath, so none of that. The greenery had to be delicate and feminine, not too leafy or heavy handed. Sherly took note of EVERYTHING and brought out samples of flowers so we could decide on which to go with.
She showed us all sizes of wreaths available and didn’t even try to upsell me on the largest one they had, even though I inquired about it. She believed that with the flowers, colors and particular design we wanted the medium size wreath was the best option. Finally, we needed to add a satin ribbon with wording on it. Typically you pick your color ribbon and they hand-​letter the words in black. But we wanted blue and gold — no problem, they said. They showed us the exact royal blue ribbon they’d be using and the gold metallic pen, and how the ink looked against the ribbon. They were accomodating with EVERYTHING! And the best part — the wreath turned out PERFECTLY! It was gorgeous, and was a beautiful tribute to our beautiful friend.

My grandfather recently passed away and I wanted to have a very special floral arrangement for his service. The mortuary recommended Alameda Fioral Design. I contacted them and they were so helpful. I’ve known Shirley for many years even before she was at her current location. Her floral arrangements are always artistic, beautiful, and done with very fresh flowers. Shirley «surprises» me ever week with a bouquet for my kitchen. It is always a thrill to receive my «new» arrangement. This is an affordable luxury that makes me very happy! Shirley also does wonderful «special occasion» arrangements and I’ve never been disappointed!

Flowers came out perfect. It was the «Pink Tribute Spray» and she gave some additional touches, extra flowers and two long ribbons with the name of our fellowship group and sympathy words. They arrived at the funeral home at the promised time and even got a call that it was already delivered. Just excelence all the way around.
It was for one of our beloved and respected leaders at our fellowship group. We spent like $ 100 + $ 20 for delivery. Shirley was very patient and helpful. This place is good in all counts.
