Carriage House Inn

I’ve stayed at the Carriage House twice this year and plan to return again in the future. It is very cozy, clean, & centrally located in town with a great staff. They even baked fresh cookies in the afternoon this past stay.

This is a lovely and friendly place. Staff are super helpful and rooms are comfortable. You are definitely in a house, so the walls are not super sound proof. Probably best to keep a private argument for another time!
The breakfast served is pretty basic and definitely ‘no frills’. They do alway have a variety of breads and cereals available as well. Having said that, they will make special requests if you ask and they have the ingredients.
My main gripe is that they didn’t do a great job cleaning the room. We were there a couple of times for over a week, so that does sometimes cause a lack of attention from the maids, but I had to request them to sweep when I really thought it should be standard (especially when there is dirt/​crumbs) on the floor. When asked, they did happily do the work. Housekeeping also offered to allow us to use their washer/​dryer if we needed, which I thought was super thoughtful.

Very cute, homey, gma’s house feel. In center of town. Annoying rattling noise and air that turns on and off every 20 minutes made it really hard to sleep.
