Starbucks

I’m so irritated at this Starbucks because I just came here yesterday and get the same shit over and over! I always ask for a venti ice water with my order and no charge! So today they decided they gonna start charging because all of a sudden they are short on venti cups (wtf?)

Great place to study/​get some work done. There’s a bathroom conveniently located within the establishment and other restaurants just walking distance if you’re on the hungry side. A lot of tables to sit at. The only complaint I have is the lack of outlets here. But then again, I haven’t really found an SB that has a lot of outlets.

Got some ice coffee with some smoky sweet barbecue chips. Service is always good when I come to this Starbucks, but it can get crazy so if you come to Starbucks a lot you should use the mobile order to by pass the long lines.

Parking/​Location: This place shares the parking lot with the Waimalu shopping center plaza, usually there’s an abundance of parking. The location is very convenient because it’s right next to the freeway on ramp and off ramp.
Atmosphere: This Starbucks is a chill spot and is large enough to have small meetings. Lots of tables and chairs are available. They also have chairs and tables along the perimeter of the store if you want a dose of fresh air. They don’t open really late like other SBs, but they usually close around the same time as the other shops. This place can get very loud for there are a lot of surfaces that bounce the sound around, or a lot of traffic noises if you do choose to sit outside. The music they play is relaxing and sometimes up beat, exactly how a coffee shop should be.
I haven’t had a problem with the way they make coffee, tea or specialty drinks. They’ve done a good job at this location to keep their drinks consistently on par. Starbucks isn’t the best tasting coffee, but it is more of a convenient aspect– they’ve definitely done a great job with that.
The staff are friendly and do make an effort to brighten your day! Every so often they will pass out new menu samples of coffee or sweet treats.
This Starbucks has gone through several makeovers over the years, the newish décor and lights set a homey/​commercialized feel to the place.
Starbucks did shorten their coffee grinders to keep interaction and eye level contact with customers (very good move). If there is a line, it usually shortens in a reasonable amount of time.
Ultimately, would I come back?
Yes. Good place to study, hold meetings, and relax.

I love how friendly the staff is! I always come to this location and they are always smiling and very friendly! It can get crowded but hey. what SB doesn’t.

Great drinks and awesome workers!

This is currently the closest Starbucks in my area and my go-​to read/​study place. Located in Waimalu Plaza, this Starbucks is very busy and looking for a place to sit oftentimes can be a challenge. Like other Starbucks, there is free wifi, one unisex bathroom, indoor and outdoor seating available.
If you are like me and easily distracted, you’ll understand why my residence is not the best place to study.
I love going to Starbucks because although it’s not a library, a lot of students hang out here to do the same thing I’m doing… Study. There may be noise from other people but there’s something about Starbucks that help me focus (the chairs). The coffee shop is tidy enough as long as you don’t go to the bathroom (then tidy automatically becomes the opposite). The chairs are not comfortable but it keeps me from getting laxed and instead focused on my reading.
All in all, if you need a place to study in Aeia area, this is your best bet. I must say, I’m going to miss this Starbucks once I move closer to town; but not too much to keep me from going to other coffee shops.

Love this location didn’t have the normal morning traffic crowd that one would encounter around
800am easy to find parking. Fast service with lots of seating perfect spot to meet friends to catch up.

The ladies and guys at this Starbucks have always been so kind and always ask how your days going. The barista make the drink perfectly every time. The parking can be a bit challenging when they are busy. The Starbucks app is a awesome. Just order in advance, show up at the store and your drink is waiting for you at the drink pickup area! I mean everyone like to avoid long lines right?. Highly recommend stopping by for a drink!

Love love love this location. Convenient because I live right up the hill, I can easily find a stall and come in to order. Keep in mind they do get busy in the morning but they are so welcoming and accomadating. How can you not get coffee? I usually order my «usual», and I love that the barista is so mindful to remember my order. Alot of space to sit down and chill and if you are out and about the freeway on ramps both east and west are right at the top intersection.

Convenient to the local doctor’s offices. Usually plenty of seats to sit back and read or do work. The service is pretty fast and accurate. The only negatives I see are with the outdoor seating. They are a bit close to the cars and crowds the sidewalks. There is so little space that You actually have to move your legs to let pedestrians pass.

I am a frequent Starbucks customer throughout the Pearl city/​Aiea area. This particular location is another one of my frequent stops before going into Safeway or next door to Pancakes and Waffles (their coffee is not that great).
I am a huge fan of the new Starbucks mobile ordering app. I love ordering in advance and avoiding the long lines. The lines at this shop aren’t as bad as the Pearlridge locations, but I still enjoy ordering from my phone and getting the bonus stars.
This store has lots of tables. There are big tables for families and even the small tables with the tall bar stools. Music is pleasant and so is the staff. My order was made wrong a few times, and it was remade and I got to keep both drinks.
Plenty of parking outside, even when the motorcycle gangs «hog» the parking lot on Sunday mornings.
Sometimes I will park at Safeway and walk here and go back to do grocery shopping.
Store is clean and convenient. Thumbs up!

I love this Starbucks location!!! I always have a good experience here. They have the best staff ever. They’re super friendly and two of them even know me by name. That’s impressive because I don’t really come here too much. Maybe twice every two weeks. The service is always fast and efficient. This location is busy, but they pump out the drinks quickly. Great job guys. Defiantly my favorite Starbucks on island :)

I’ve been to this store a handful of times, and I’ve never had a bad experience thus far. There are so many things about this location that is so on-​point, so near perfect, that I almost want to transfer here as a partner.
First, the store itself. I would say that this is not the best of locations for a Bux, being hidden away in Waimalu Shopping Plaza, but its location within the plaza is great. It’s the first thing you see when you drive in from Ka’ahumanu side and has a nice, large appearance. The inside is spacious and well decorated, boasting that smooth jazzy and hip coffee culture these sort of shops are noted as. There’s SO much seating it’s ridiculous — how these guys keep their lobby clean is beyond me.
The drinks have all been fantastic and follows standard to the T, unless you specify otherwise. Today I had myself a pumpkin spice latte, topped with marshmallow whipped cream (a leftover from the smores frappuccino), and I had that magical, warm, «Mmmmm» moment when I sipped it. The whip was choppy but I’m a HUGE fan of perfectly merengue-​textured foam, and miss bar lady got that down.
Lastly, but most importantly, the partners. Never a dull or unsatisfactory moment with these partners. The POS baristas (today with Sasha especially) have always been friendly and smiley, and bar partners ALWAYS thank me and wish me a great day. Now, there are ways to mess this part of the customer connection up, even with the «Thanks, have a good one» chatter — no eye contact, disingenuous tone of voice, body language, etc. but Cat, who was KILLING it on bar today on this busy busy holiday, still found it in her to genuinely thank me and make my drink announcement extra personalized when she saw me waiting: «Lina! Your pumpkin spice is all yours, do enjoy!» LOVE. IT. If you’re reading this, mega props to you — and tell your shift super from Labor Day that he was also killin’ that Playbook order support. Y’all rock!
For those of you who follow me, you know I’m extra critical of Sbux experiences as a partner. So, with this review, you know I’ll be back.

Worst experience at this Starbucks location.
They should be lucky I didn’t give less stars. The time i came to this Starbucks was during lunch hour time. Surprisingly, there was not a long line. I was able to order my tevana green tea iced drink in less than 5 mins. My drink came out in 6 to 7 mins. Kinda of wished it was sweetened lil more. It tasted bland.
What made my time here real horrible. There was a little male kid running around and screaming and yelling out too loud. I felt the parents weren’t disciplining their child appropriate and being too easy going with the boy. Made my time studying on my material very irritating and literally made me want to go up to the family to tell them to keep the noise down. Being the type of girl who doesn’t want to start drama and put more fire in, I shut my mouth and remind myself that there is an invisible wall between me and that family. You don’t hear any screaming, yelling, and laughing sounds, kept trying to tell myself that as I was studying and eating some thai vegetable rolls purchased from the food counter.
On the positive note, that family finally left a half hr after I was sitting at the table across from them eating and studying. Got a peaceful study environment, patience pays off in the end. I am sure they recognized that it was getting frustrating and disturbed the other customers sitting down at the tables next to them.
This Starbucks locations has plenty of seating and tables. Whenever I come to the Pearl city location next to Walmart, there is never any seating available SUCKS!!!. Another plus, there is plenty of parking at this Waimalu plaza location (3 hr limit, pray the security doesn’t keep tabs on your vehicle).

Yesterday July 1 was ok service got my mini smore’s frappé since there is a bonus stars promotion until July 6.
Four stars bonus with purchase of caramel ribbon crunch or smore’s frappé. So come today July 2 same thing I go in order a caramel frappé and the lady at the counter says those drinks are seasonal and no longer make it. Say what? Then why bother to have a promotion if you can’t sell it until it ends? No make sense!
Very disappointed in Starbucks all around. Plus they still owe me 12 stars that equal a free drink and still waiting for them to reply and fix it. It does not pay to be a gold card holder with them… the service is just plain bad!

Like this Starbucks. It’s rather spacious and the is enough space to move about without having to wait for people to pass before proceeding. The staff here are friendly. I don’t come here frequent enough for the workers to know me but I have seen them address others as if they were neighbors.

Normally I am a big supporter of small businesses and locally owned coffee shops, but I do make an exception every morning for this Starbucks.
The staff here are very friendly and very efficient. The lines are never very long and they always move fast. I go every morning on my way to school and I have never had my order missed up and I have never seen any one else complain.
Buying coffee every morning can add up and get pricey. There have been a few times that I have contemplated making my own, but there is something about walking in every morning and being greeted, by name, with friendly, happy, faces that make it worth it. They really take the time to treat all of the customers excellently and I have noticed they call all of the regulars by first name. Granted, I have never been in in the afternoon, I can vouch that the morning staff is top notch.
