Yook Jae Jang: beef, veg, bean thread, and egg simmered soup is delish. Comes with two scoops of rice and 4 sides!

When you want some quick Korean food, Pearl’s Korean BBQ is the place to go. Sometimes the sides is what makes Korean food so amazing and thats the real upside to Pearl’s. My favorite part of the meal is the massive handful of choices you can pick from! Choi sum, mac salad, seaweed, and much more. Considering this is kind of like a fast food place, the multitude of options for just the sides alone make it great. Generally a plate lunch is gonna cost around $ 13, but don’t get turned off by the price because these plates are massive. Think of it like an investment… you’re paying for more than a single meal over a span of a couple days! Based on the amount and quality of the food, this place is definitely worth the money. On the downside service can slow down just a little bit and orders don’t exactly come out in a first come, first serve basis. A couple people behind me got their food before I did even though we oedered the same thing. But it’s fine beause i get to enjoy my plate lunch for more than a day.

My daughter went to order her plate and they took over 15 min to make I don’t know if it’s because she’s a kid but they were hella rude first they didn’t give her back her change and made it like it was her fault then gave her the wrong order ! All I can say is bad customer service !!! The two females working around 7pm on April 11 u need better service!!!

First and last time we will ever come here. The ladies up front were not very friendly, it took FOREVER, and there were no eating utensils — like no chopsticks and no forks. Ironically enough when the woman in line behind us received her food there was suddenly a fork available for her… the only saving grace was the food was okay, or maybe it was just by the time we got it we were super hungry. but on a side note, the bubble tea is great.

Food was okay but where else can you get Korean food at Pearl Ridge? Customer service could be better.

I work in the mall so I always call & place a take out order. On more than one occasion I’ve had to call repeatedly till they picked up their phone. More than five times to be exact. Even then, they still don’t answer! After a while I just gave up & ordered up front & asked the lady at the register if something was wrong with their phone. She replied with, they had to use the credit card machine. I guess the machine is connected to the phone? Don’t waste your time calling.

BBQ chicken was pretty good but the service was horrible. The two ladies at the front were rude and were on their phone while working.

Quality is bad, meat Jun is fatty and chewy. Soaked thru with oil and no amount of sauce makes it taste better. I ordered different today, chicken katsu. Crunchy, tough, inedible. So gross! When you work in the mall you are limited to choices but I must say this is the worst Korean food I’ve had in a long time!

Pearls is similar to Peppas and Yummys! My favorite is the Pearls Special! The food here is good. If you’re on a low carb diet, they let you pick a fifth vegetable side instead of rice! The food is a bit pricey but, definitely worth it.

Take out meat Jun okay portions but soaked in oil. Tasted old and reheated. Meat was fatty and chewy not tender. Choi sum and cabbage in large pieces not cut up well. Service was rude and slow! I had to get the girls attention and she did not seem please to help me. Prices are high for what you get. I will never eat here again.

Located at the Pearl Ridge mall food court. Portions are okay but don’t match the price. Their menu is surprisingly similar to Yummy’s Korean BBQ. Even the choice of vegetables banchan look exactly the same as Yummy’s. The food and beverage containers have the same color scheme. Service is slow. If you decide to try them out, order a meal to go and eat at a more comfortable place. The food court is not a good place to have a meal.

Food was ok. The loco moco plate was delicious. But the BBQ chicken was a bit dry.

Didn’t know where to eat when I got to the mall. Korean sounded good. So Pearls it was. It’s your normal Korean plate lunch place. Located in the food court uptown. The service was OK. No smiles. Just take your order and get back to work. The wait was not to long considering it was the peak of the lunch hour. Regular plates gets 4 choice of veggies and mini plates gets 2 choice. They do also have bubble drinks here as well. I ordered the mini spicy BBQ chicken plate with a side of mandoo. I have to say the severing size for a mini was decent. 3 pieces of chicken and one scoop rice. Chicken was moist with the just the right amount of heat. Would I come here again? The answer to that is sure and I would try something new.

Pretty standard mall fare. If you like mandoo, the mall’s monthly brochure will usually have a coupon for free mandoo or sometimes a free drink! It’s an alternative to McDonald’s and the 4 choices of Korean vegetables with the regular plate make me feel healthy! Ha! You can also substitute the rice for veggies, so getting the mini plate gets you 4 choices just like the regular!

SAVEYOURMONEYANDEATSOMEWHEREELSEINTHEFOODCOURT. I went here yesterday on a Saturday for lunch. Usually Korean BBQ is always a hit and you can’t go wrong with it. I ate half of my BBQ chicken plate with the mayo potato and choi-sum in the food court and was full. Yeah my chicken was a little burnt but I wasn’t picky about it. Here comes the bad part: when I got home and wanted to eat the other half of my plate I discovered a 2INCHHAIR in my choi-sum just springing out… I was disgusted and immediately lost my appetite and will never eat here again. My boyfriend saw my reaction and he said it looked like a male armpit hair…

I usually never come to Korean restaurants and order Loco Moco. But I tried their chicken katsu and meat jun which I usually like and it was terrible. To my amazement the hamburger patty very juicy and good flavor. I will order this again.

Hahaha omg this place only has 1.5 stars? And here I thought giving it 3 was harsh! Ok, I’ve only eaten here once, and that one time my kalbi tasted of burned sugar, was slightly tough, and the chicken was overcooked. And my potatoes were mushy, but the broccoli was crunchy, the noodles were firm, and the fried mandoo didn’t have anything wrong with it. That’s really my standard as far as places like this are concerned(Gina’s, Yummy, Pearl, etc), because NOONE can beat KIAWEGRILL. I should have known better. Next time I will drive 1 block down the street to get Kiawe Grill, which is Off The Charts Superior in every category, including but not limited to flavor robustness, quality of meat, marinade, cooking procedure, smoke flavor, portion size, free water cup size, availability of real plates and utensils. .. need I go on? You know what the worst part is? I think Pearl is actually more expensive than Kiawe Grill, perhaps because of the high mall rent?

I have not tried the KBBQ yet, but I’ve already had some of the boba drinks — taro and only taro to be exact! It was possibly one of the worst boba drinks I’ve ever had. However, on the bright side, it wasn’t THE worst. The drink is all ice with little flavor. The boba isn’t terrible, however. But I guess what can I expect from the cheap price?

Pearl’s Korean BBQ has an awesome Bi Bim Bap that was so big I couldn’t finish it! After I scrapped the nasty yellow part of the egg, I started chowing down on the ong choi, kimchi, bean sprouts, tough, salty beef and the crunchy salad underneath it all. It was hella salty but it was really flavorful, especially the kimchi. I felt a little weak for not being able to finish it, so I sort of nonchalantly slid it off the table into the nearby trashcan, avoiding glances from the little Korean couple nearby, whose weight combined was less than me, as they grinded their same size plate cleaner than mine!
