I recently got a Fitbit and started walking at night. Since I am not a fan of your typical Hawaiian poke and other local food, it is a bit a struggle to find a place to eat around my area. I was craving for pasta but didn’t want to dress up since I’m on gym clothes, I Unilocaled pasta and found Sbarro! Sbarro is located Pearlridge mall, in the same building as the movie theater. I didn’t have any issues with customer service like what’s stated in the other reviews. The teenage boy cashier/server is very helpful while the older gentleman(manager or owner) is a people person. I came for their baked ziti but Gosh! Their strombolis looked really good and I had to stop myself and stay focused! Although I must say, the pepperoni breadsticks are very tasty too! VERYTASTY! Must get two at least!!! Combos will cost you at least 12 bucks(tax included), with side choices: regular breadsticks, pepperoni breadsticks or radar salad. They might not reiterate the pepperoni breadsticks so know that yes it’s an option. All in all, for convenience and pasta/breadsticks cravings, SBARRO– most definitely.

…Ok, I’m fully aware Sbarro’s is a chain restaurant and as such, they follow guidelines on how they make their food. I must say however, I was very impressed by my visit today. I ordered a Pepperoni and Sausage Sicilian, which was totally on point. I also had some great conversation with the Manager Ed(A Jersey City Native) with the thickest of Jersey/New York accents… lol. This guy is a character, as he was pulling pizza from the oven he was talking to it and showing the employees what pizza is supposed to look like and said«what we had before was a Matzah»(You have to be from the Tri-State area or Jewish to understand) Lmao. Ik, back to my point, I thouroughly enjoyed my sicilian slice and the managers energetic attitude which took me back to what the local pizzerias in my old neighborhood were like. So if you happen to be at Pearlridge Mall, I recommend.

Let me just say, that this company needs to do drug screenings on there employees. The gentleman that TRIED to help was so out of it I don’t think he even knew that he was at work. Food was okay, I think it has been out for a while!

The service was good and pizza was too! I was so happy to see a Sbarro! I will no longer ordee gross over priced pizza from Pizza Hut and Dominos! I gave it a 4 star because the girl didn’t let me know about the combo deal, and when I ordered a pizza pie I wasn’t told I was allowed up to 5 free toppings but it was amazing!

Special deals on New York style pizza. The guy even charged me for the special seeing that I never noticed the deal. He even toasted the slices the right way!

Came to the food court because CPK was a 45 minute wait. Glad we did. We save money and the food was good. The spaghetti marinara and meatball was delicious.

2 stars for the ziti and yummy garlic topping. so here’s what happened. one of the employees wiped his nose with his gloved hand right before he prepared a special order! i was grossed out and wanted to tell the employee to change his glove and to tell the other customer to either ask for a refund of ask for a different batch of dough and cheese and pepperoni.

Located in downtown pearlridge(movie theater side) in the food court. They offer ready to eat pizza slices, pasta, salads and my all time favorite: Strombolis. There are a variety of pizzas including stuffed pizzas that look like an inside out pizza. There is also lasagna, spaghetti, sausages, tossed, caesar and pasta salads. I like the spinach and cheese Stromboli, which is basically a rectangle square of pizza bread with spinach and cheese baked inside. I order a side of marinara sauce to dip my Stromboli bits in and it is truly heavenly, especially when you’re hungry and have been dreaming about biting into a gooey cheesy mess. Prices are not bad if you are ordering just a la carte. They get you when they ask if you want a side salad and drink, which somehow tacks on an extra three to four bucks or so onto the price of what you ordered. Staff is friendly. The manager is a 49ers fan and gets in a mood when they are losing a game which is pretty entertaining.

I was very disappointed again with the service or the lack of service I didn’t receive today. Two workers standing in front of the food counter, and me standing in front of both workers telling one worker who had their head down(acting like he wished I would just go away) was playing with the pizza I asked a couple of times for a spinach Stromboli he clearly didn’t look up and just continue playing with the pizza. So I look over to the other worker who was preparing someone else’s order and he looked at the worker who was ignoring me – and didn’t say a word. So instead of getting upset I left. Being at a food court they were a lot of other attentive workers eager to have my business. we live close to the mall and my family is busy so we normally come to the mall frequently just to eat dinner. I am very disappointed with this place. Sbarro’s was not busy and the lack of service and bunch of product that needed to be sold made it clear that I might not be the only one feeling shunned or is eating elsewhere in the food court.

Ate here yesterday with my husband… food was good; until around 3:30 pm when my stomach started rumbling. My husbands started to do the same later on… we both got food poisoning from what I assume is the Cesar salad since that’s the only common factor in our lunch yesterday.

I eat here frequently when we go to the movies at the Pearl Ridge Shopping Center. It’s conveniently next to the theaters. Whenever I’m feeling a craving for greasy pepperoni and lots of fattening cheese, I eat the pepperoni stromboli(how do you spell that?). It’s sinfully delicious, but not good for you.

Me and my Family came here for lunch today, we ordered a combo(baked ziti, garden salad, garlic bread and a large soda) felt bad cuz they don’t carry white sauce like the one in the Philippines, and pasta kinda over cooked or soggy. Maybe next time will order pizza instead of pasta.

Pretty good food most of the time. Their baked ziti is decent but it’s heavy. I mean, you could anchor a boat with this stuff. The breadsticks don’t have a whole lot of flavor. I’m a huge fan of their pasta salad; good flavor without being too ‘oily’ as a lot of other pasta salads tend to be. Probably the best thing on their menu is the roasted red potatoes. If you have not tried them, DOITNOW!!! Lol. no kidding; they are wonderful. They have excellent flavor to them. Their pizza is pretty good; not the best I’ve ever had but it’s decent. The prices are kind of high for it being mall fast food but hey, this is Hawaii. What ISN’T overpriced here? My only complaint is the customer service. We were there two weeks ago and there was nobody else in line… just us. We stood there waiting for more than 5 minutes before someone acknowledged us and there were 6 people working that we could see. Why the wait? Come on now. All in all, it’s a good place to eat if you’re shopping in Pearlridge Mall. It’s normally not that busy unless you go late on a weekday or on the weekends. We always try to hit the mall between opening and 3 pm on weekdays so there’s not as many people.

3.25.13 Not too shabby Sbarro. I am not usually a fan of this place and I was a bit skeptical about ordering from here tonight. I decided to go with the Baked Ziti(~$ 8) – def not as good or worth it as Catania’s Penne Ricotta – but not bad for fast food. You have the choice of topping it with marinara sauce, no extra charge, and it also comes with a yummy garlic bread(super yum, very herby)! If you want meat with this, you can opt for either meatballs or chicken which ups the price to ~$ 10(not worth it in my opinion… ok maybe the meatballs). As for taste… like I mentioned earlier I’m not really a fan of their food. To me the sauce(s) are always too acidic. But on a brighter note, this dish had PLENTY of cheese which I think saved it bc the noodles weren’t that great quality either. Anyways, if I had to I think I would come here again… but only if I had to. Unilocal 365 Challenge: #083/365

Excellent food all the time; everything is hot and fresh. My only complaint is that it’s a bit pricey for mall food but still… if you don’t mind spending a little bit more, the food is good.

Pretty good place to pick up fast food italian. I didn’t know about the combo deal till my family took me here. I got a pepperoni slice and baked ziti pasta side with drink. Payed for 2 combo meals under $ 20 and got so much food. Pretty good deal. Definitely will stop here next time we come to the area.
