I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer 3 years ago, and underwent a full thyroidectomy. For those who have been through thyroid replacement hormones, know it’s no smooth sailing. After being thoroughly disappointed by previous endocrinologists, I was referred to Dr. Gofnung. He adjusted my medication, and was very attentive and personable. He addressed all my concerns, and actually listened when I spoke. He’s very reassuring, and has great bedside manner. I would recommend him a hundred times over. I’ve referred a few people to him so far, and have not heard a complaint yet.

Dr. Gofnung has a great bedside manners. He listens to our problems and give advice based on that He is friendly and that makes me to talk with him with no hesitation. Sometimes he forgets paper work. He quickly communicates with the test results through email. Or quickly responds to our call. Now He is presently at the UCLA, Westlake and thousand Oaks office. Also, he never hesitates to order lab work. I would recommend him for all endo related issues.

Dr. Gofnung is a wonderful, caring doctor. I’ve been in his care for almost a year and have seen major improvement in the way I feel. He’s always kind and always helpful. If you’re looking for a good endo, I recommend him.

I find it odd that people can have polar opposite visits with the same doctor but I guess it happens. Over the years, I have had great experiences with Dr. Gofnung. I have 2 friends that also see him and are very happy with the care he provides. I have always felt that he listens to me and isn’t in a rush. He has recently moved out of my area and I’m sad to have to find someone else.

If you want a doctor to be there for you and help when needed, don’t go to Dr. Gofnung. I was a patient of Dr. Gofnung’s for 3 years, the first few times I saw him he was good and attentive. As time went on Dr. G grew worse, he stopped listening, it would take over a week to hear back from him on test results but since I had a history with him I put up with it. On my last visit however he was worse than usual, I tried to talk to him about some problems, which he only heard that I wasn’t sleeping and suggested I go to a sleep specialist and sent me on my way. He gave me a one month prescription which was usually a year prescription so I had to keep calling the office to get more medication. He then switched offices and when I called to get a prescription refill, he refused to give me one and I was told to make an appointment. I had just seen him a few months ago, but I said ok but can he at least call in a prescription until I can get in to see him. The receptionist said she would ask and get back to me. I called 4 times for 4 days straight to no avail. I ran out of my medication which I am not supposed to go off of. Not once did the office try to get me in, all I heard was they emailed him and if they heard back they would let me know. I never heard back from him and I had to find a new doctor. I can’t believe the lack of response or care Dr G had to a patient that was loyal to him for years.
