This restaurant was a pleasant surprise for someone who just happened to be in the neighborhood. As a person who will not eat fast food, I am always looking for somewhere that has affordable prices on Real Food. The prices were very reasonable and the food very REAL. We did not have the breakfast although I was tempted because their menu looked great and it is hard to find a good breakfast now days. We did have the Flaming cheese, Saganaki as well as a Greek Salad and My husband opted for the Ambrosia Gyro(YearO). We were not disappointed in anything. Veggies were fresh, Steak fries came with the Gyro and the Saganaki was prepared table side with great effect. The portions were generous but not overwhelming. I did ask for Romaine Lettuce with my Greek Salad, but that is a personal preference. The Salad dressing was house made with just the right balance of oil and acidity. I had a Bloody Mary which was very fresh tasting and not some corn syrup laden mix. The service was great and pleasant. The waitress was personable when we encouraged her to talk about the restaurant and kept my husbands coffee always topped off. I found nothing to complain about at this restaurant except that it is not closer to my house. Reading my reviews, it is clear that I do not give out good reviews unless they are earned. This place was definitely deserving. Ambrosia, I think means Food of the gods. They are on their way.

Best breakfast ever. The omelettes and service are superb. We were glad to find a small Greek restaurant off the beaten path in St. Louis.

The chicken fried steak with sausage gravy is amazing. My girlfriend and I always order it. The pancakes are great, too. The staff is always welcoming and the service is always quick. Ambrosia is my go to restaurant for breakfast.

This is a fantastic breakfast place. Where else can you order A GYROOMLETTE? No where I tell you. So go here and eat the heck out of breakfast and you won’t be disappointed. I just wish it was a little closer to me. I love all of their food and I would probably eat there at least once a week if I could.

I have eaten breakfast here 10 times now and every time it’s been cooked perfectly with FAST and friendly service. I usually get the Affton Omelette(minus onions and plus mushrooms) and it is always soooooo good! Everything is quickly and freshly cooked and delivered by very friendly staff! The décor is also very homey especially around the holidays. Please give Ambrosia a try and you will not be disappointed!

Definitely not great and what I expected after reading other great reviews. I ordered a basic ham and cheese omelette with extra ham and cheese. The omelette came out and the eggs were slightly burned and there definitely wasn’t any extra ham and cheese inside. The hashbrowns were okay but cold. The person with me got eggs Benedict and the hollandaise sauce was tasteless and her hashbrowns were cold as well. Overall not a great experience and I won’t be back. My search for a great breakfast restaurant in St. Louis continues.

I put a high high premium on good breakfast places where you can just walk in on a weekend morning and there will be a table waiting for you. And it’s not McDonalds. The place isn’t particularly upscale or fancy, but it’s nicer than your standard diner. I hadn’t been in this space since it was Trattoria Toscana, but I don’t think it’s changed much. The owner(?) greeted us as we walked in and our server was friendly and on top of things. We were pretty thrilled to see highlighted an omelet with gyro meat(or chicken, another original idea). We also had a side of fruit and a pancake. All pretty good. Prices were fair, the place is clean. It was all good, but my favorite part is not waiting in a crazy busy place on a Saturday morning at 9.

We a had a group of 9 people for breakfast. The Ambrosia staff quickly set-up a table for us. Décor is up class with real table cloths. We were able to order quickly and the food was brought out correctly and quickly. The menu has many different items than the typical restaurant. I had the Affton omelet(which includes gyro meat) which was excellent. Everyone else was also happy with meals. Prices were very reasonable. The staff was personable and efficient. We are all definitely going back.

I came in at about 1PM. Breakfast time! I had German Fries, bacon, and a half order of biscuits and gravy. The portions were huge and the food was all excellent! My server was nice, courteous, and personable. I had two meals worth of great food for about $ 13! I will certainly be back.

This place we a Gem of a find. I grew up around here and my fiancé knows I love breakfast so he went looking for a place. The place is family owned and it shows because most of the people eating there where regulars. The owner came by to see if we where ok, of corse we where. I got coffee, bacon, eggs and hash browns, my fiancé got a omelette with feta cheese in it and we split a side of gyro meet. Love, love, love this place, eat here once and you will be hooked!

We wanted to go out for breakfast but didn’t want to stand in line at one of the well known places. Ambrosia was in the area so we checked them out. Wow. The food was awesome. I had a three egg omlette with gyro meat and feta cheese. I ordered an extra side of gyro meat. It was so good. Service was perfect, and they have plenty of tables. We’re going back soon.

4 stars for breakfast. Pancakes are fluffy and have a great flavor. The ‘Affton special omelette’ is nothing like you have had and worth trying if you like Greek food. Hash browns were greasy and overcooked.
