Hostess & waitress were both extremely friendly! We went in because we had a craving for coconut cream pie and it did the trick. We ended up buying a whole pie to bring home thanks to my husband! Will go back again next time a craving arises!

Had a craving for coconut cream pie. Couldn’t fine a local bakery or restaurant so decided to grab one from Bob Evans. Price was good. Pie was good. Not spectacular but satisfied the craving.

Food was OK, but the place was so dirty I was completely uncomfortable and grossed out the whole time. When we first sat down the booth looked promising, but towards the wall there were salt and crumbs everywhere. That’s disgusting and it isn’t hard to lift up the items on the table to wipe under them. It wasn’t just under it though, more like all around. Across from us were two«clean» tables that had crumbs in the middle of them. While I waited for my soup to arrive my family began eating their salads. So me being polite I unraveled the silverware and low and behold the knife was covered with yellow gunk. Just nasty so of course I checked the other two items. The spoon also had crud on it. After that I went as far as inspecting the napkin. That to had food on it. Just nasty. Makes me think our cups and my family had dirty dishes as well. I just wanted to get out of there. the waitress didn’t even come back to check on our food and gave us the wrong check. Didn’t want to ruin our lunch so I didn’t bring it up with the manager. With that being said I probably won’t return to Bob Evans and will never recommend eating here.

I would love to give this more than one star, because the food actually wasn’t half bad. It was the service though… First off, we went in around 10:30AM and waited behind maybe two other groups for a good 25 mins. After being seated we got to enjoy the«lovely» service from an obviously tenured waitress named Melissa. She meant well, but was an absolute mess. Slamming down plates and glasses, didn’t take our order for a good 20 mins., never gave us nor asked for coffee refills, brought us the wrong order when it was finally ready. She was just a complete mess. Another party was seated no more than 5 minutes before us and were leaving the restaurant, done with their meal, before we were even able to place our order! Food was good, service was horrible! This place was great years ago, but they need to give the boot to a few of their waitresses and hire new polite and courteous staff.

A solid 3 Stars. I had not been to a Bob Evans in years and not only needed but wanted breakfast before shopping at Costco. Upon entering, it had a crispy and clean appearance. While dining I learned, they had just been remodeled within the last two months. The new look is a winner. My breakfast was the Farm Favorite Omelet, which was a fluffy omelet filled with baby spinach, portabella mushrooms, dice onions and Swiss cheese. I was just an okay omelet, I probably would not order it again. The spinach was folded in well and the onions had a little snap to them. On downside, the mushrooms were rubbery making them chewy and they were very skimpy on the amount of cheese. The side of Hash Browns were crispy on top, but not on the bottom. I like mine to be crispy on both. My DP(Dining Partner) enjoyed The Homestead Breakfast. This is the breakfast to order, here. A hearty breakfast that includes, two eggs cooked to order, a cup of sausage gravy, your choice of Bob Evans sausage or bacon, choice of side and specialty breakfast bread. The DP opted for sausage patty, after all Bob is known for his sausage and biscuit. This truly was a country style breakfast. First I must warn you, it is not a cup of sausage gravy, but an entire bowl. Even with him having two freshly made flakey biscuits, he did not use all the gravy he was served. The biscuits and the gravy surprised both of us, neither of us expected a chain restaurant to serve up some kick ass Biscuits and Gravy. The gravy was full of sausage chunks, creamy and seasoned with the right amount of pepper. Our server was good, but kinda over the top saccharine sweet. She’d been a wonderful kindergarten teacher. I do give her extra points for using a variety of adjectives to describe the entrees she was selling. She also knew the importance of asking for the add-on. Will I go back? Yes, but I will not be rushing. It may be another couple of years before I return. Or it may not be until I retire, then I’d fit in with the rest of the clientele that was dining while I was there.

We like Bob Evans restaurants in general and have good luck with the one at Lake Ozark. However this location is «off» our list now. Were there on a Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. in August. Took forever for the waitress to come take our order(got one cup of coffee and no refills — so I went and found her and asked for more coffee). Took at least 20 to 30 minutes to get our cold food. Waitress said«someone took your food order out from under the lights and put it on a tray and didn’t deliver it». And how is that our problem? Bye Bob.

We have been going to this location of Bob Evans for years, and unfortunately it has gone from one of our favorite places to go to one that we will probably avoid in the future. Especially after this last visit. We went on Saturday August 2nd around 1:00 pm. It was not crowded. After being seated we waited quite a while just for a waitress to come to the table to take our drink orders. Be both got iced tea and it was so watered down it had next to no color or flavor. And again, it took for ever for her to come back and take our food order. While waiting for the food we found that most of our silverware was dirty, and the people at the table next to ours complained of the same thing. When we finally got our food it was the worst breakfast we ever had there. The only 2 things they got right is that the home fries were cooked(they are normally next to raw) and the sausage gravy was as good as always. Seeing as probably all the cook has to do is heat it from frozen, you really can’t mess that up anyway. The scrambled eggs were burnt and dry, the biscuits were like hockey pucks, the ham had no flavor, the bacon was ok, the chicken fried steak was a frozen patty that was not cooked properly and the white gravy on top was like eating paste. On top of that, and one of my biggest pet peeves is any restaurant, is the bathroom was not clean and the floors were sticky. Gross. I think this may be our last trip to Bob Evans, at least this location anyway.

I like Bob Evans as a chain in general, but this particular Bob Evans, while trying hard, is clearly not among their best. I really want to emphasize that they are trying. Our server was good but the food took a long time and it was what I expected from Bob Evans, but I also think it may be because they may not have enough cooks. The best one I have tried in the area is the one over in Fairview Heights — now that is an excellent one. But they tried. I had their Rise & Shine breakfast. I originally asked for Poached eggs and was advised that they«don’t do poached eggs.» Hmmm, ok do you do «Sunnyside up?» they did and I got what I expected on that. I also ordered the sausage patty and that was good. The hash browns were adequate, but I just got the fee4ling the cook had too much to do. If you want food and are hungry, this is an ok place, but this is not going to a memorable breakfast and it will just do the job for you. I wouldn’t make a special effort to come back, but I wouldn’t stay away. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

If I could give this Bob Evans. No stars. I would. Today was probably the worst experience ever at any restaurant in my life. and that’s saying something. I do have sympathy for a person who is working her first day, but it should not take over 20 minutes to get water and coffee to the table. I ordered french toast that was not cooked,. at all… So I did send it back. It took another 30 minutes to get my new French toast. We even had to get a manager involved. The manager did give my meal for free, and you know that’s how bad it was. Overall all of our orders were not correct. I don’t think any other time I’ve been here was much better. Yes it was a very crowded Sunday morning but the service was terrible.

My wife and I have never cared much for Bob Evans, but thought they should be OK for breakfast food even if it was1:30PM. I ordered a Western omelet with grits. Grits were supposed to be available until 2 o’clock, but the kitchen said they already stopped serving them. A Western omelet has ham, peppers, and onions. Theirs comes with sautéed onions. Now to me that is not a proper Western omelet, so I asked for raw onions. Well what I got was pretty much an onion omelet with a some tiny cubes of salad ham here and there. The peppers were fine, but sparse. My bread choice was blueberry, which turned how to be heavy soggy bread that broke under its own weight when I attempted to pick it up. I then asked for whole wheat toast. When it finally came at the end of my meal it was two slices of scrawny thin bread, smaller than standard sandwich bread and was over toasted and cold. My wife ordered an omelet that came with sausage, bacon, and ham plus some vegatables. It turned out to be basically a spinach and tomato omelet with a smattering of the little cubes of ham and some indistinguishable little cumbles of meat. Oh yeah, both omelets had a slight sprinkling of cheese on top. The home fries were fine, but not what I wanted. I don’t know, maybe if you order eggs and sausage with biscuits you might be OK. Bob Evans sausage from the grocery is OK, but for a restaurant that specializes in breakfast food ours was very disappointing.

I have never been a fan of Bob Evans, even after attempting more visits to verify weather or not I do like them, and each time the answer is no. very few places do good scrambled eggs, and I can honestly say that this isn’t one of the good places, when I order scrambled eggs I would like to get just that, a pile of scrambled eggs, not a folded yellow square, that isn’t scrambled eggs, that’s a single layer plain omelet. I am really not a fan of the servers at Bob Evans either, maybe it’s my choice of location, but I’m not seeing it that way. I have a few places that I go regularly for my sit down breakfast needs, however Bob Evans unfortunately doesn’t meet that satisfaction level so required to corral that second or third visit overall rating of Bob Evans is a no go, I have tried several times to enjoy it, but it never seems to happen, I am pretty sure I have walked out of my last Bob Evans for a while…

What I like best about Bob Evan’s is it’s cleanliness and comfort feeling. The food is mediocre the coffee is hot and decent but the staff is always on! The friendliness and courtesy of the staff is what always makes me want to come back. The manager is always so pleasant and always talking to guests making everyone feel welcome. Being in the industry I can tell that the staff is happy to be here and willing to take care of the guests.
