Since partial stars are not an option, I chose 4, but I might even bump it up to 4.5 stars. We talked to two fence companies and T&T Fences (a.k.a. Atlanta’s Best Fences & Decks) won for two reasons: their price was a couple hundred dollars lower and they were willing to work on the weekend without a permit (the latter being a big plus for us and saving $ 100 in extortive permit fees). Another perk we like is that they will have you buy the materials, at cost, from Home Depot, so you can use a payment method of your choice there and perhaps collect c.c. bonus cash or whatever.
Enjoyed working with Todd. The overall fence quality and appearance is very good: clean cuts, even spacing, and they did a good job keeping the top level by cutting up the bottoms of the pickets — not every fence company will do this well. Look at fences around your neighborhood — you’ll see what I’m talking about.
Unfortunately, we were not home when the job was done, else we probably could have addressed a couple lingering issues immediately on the spot. Nevertheless, Todd & crew were receptive to feedback and they did return to fix the issues.
My strong advice is to make good notes while discussing the fence plan and have written copies for yourself and the contractor. There was a significant misunderstanding about one section of the fence and it had to be their word against ours.
Another piece of advice — for just about any situation in life — is to always be polite and gracious to someone from the get-​go when you need something from them. Todd and I almost exchanged unkind words, but we were able to both keep our cool, he came back and saw what had happened, and very graciously owned up to it and fixed the problem free of charge.
Ultimately, Todd’s crew came back and made it right and for that we are VERY thankful. His handling of this issue shaped the outcome of this review dramatically.
As for the other bad reviews, I’ll never know the whole situation, but T&T seem like reasonable people to me and perhaps the unsatisfied customers should have tried honey instead of vinegar.
In conclusion, many companies can build you a fence of fine quality at the same price, but what distinguishes one from another is customer service and how they resolve issues. In this case, T&T did right by us and I think they deserve the good rating.

This company did a fencing job at my home around 2007 or 2008. I cannot remember, but since I have gotten into Unilocal,I thought I would give them a review. They installed a fence in my backyard and it looks okay along straightaways, but in other parts, not so much. The fence has all kinds of bowed out places where they claimed they could not go behind a tree. I am also restricted from parts of my yard due to this issue. They could have stopped at the tree if it was impeding them. They did not respond correctly to customer instruction and would say that doing it correctly would be too difficult. Also, this company was paid in advance to stain our pre-​existing deck and said they would come back with the stain but they never came back. Calls were made to them in reference to this issue, but the calls were never returned. This company is called TNT Fences and Decks, not Atlanta Fence, so don’t be fooled. This company also posts reviews on their multiple pages here on Unilocal which is against Unilocal’s terms of service. So, I would recommend not paying this company in advance. They will come up with an excuse for why they will not be returning, thus stealing money. Just my personal opinion.
