Overpriced for their services! Same doctor visit with my daughter one week prior was $ 80 compared to $ 282 that they presented to my insurance company. After a visit to Patient first corporate they agreed to have their internal staff review it and they feel the charges are justified. Their answer was the $ 282 was based on the doctors diagnosis not on the services performed and they were well within line. They weighed me took my temperature the doctor came in for the stethoscope on my chest four times and looked in my ears and looked in my throat and prescribed medicine. Incidentally the same exact medicine the $ 80 Visit with a competitor one week earlier prescribed for my Daughter. They took issue at the front desk after the less than minute visit when I requested a copy of the bill. They insisted they would forward it to my insurance company to which I replied I would be paying out-of-pocket as I had not met the deductible. After wrangling with them I finally got my $ 282 visit which included $ 11 to take my pulse… Which was not necessary as the doctor said my blood pressure was well within line.. Are almost 25 days later and they have not presented me with what I consider a satisfactory bill for services rendered. I have communicated with corporate but at least five separate emails with one of their claim specialist and have not received one answer to the many questions that I posed… instead«they’re continuing to work on it.» Somehow they feel the common person on the street has no right to find out what their bill is until after they’ve submitted it to the insurance company… That is no doubt to get you through the 30 day window where if you have any issue with the bill then if you delay payment they could be marked on your credit score. If you search on the Internet with their name and combine the word overcharges you’ll find a great many people who have the same experience at patient first Even some of their former employees said that it was common practice to escalate charges as it would be unnoticed. I think they think this one is going to be swept under the rug it will not however. I do not mind paying fair market price for services rendered but I do not expect to pay 3 ½ times the going rate because of the doctors diagnosis which was in fact the same thing the other doctor diagnosed my daughter with… upper respiratory infection And only build us $ 80 which we promptly paid. Ice is get them to commit to some kind of pricing framework prior to walking in… Also there negotiated wait with my insurance company was about $ 80 higher than the price that I would pay off the street paying out-of-pocket. So where’s the volume discount with a large provider that should be passed on to the customer Very unhappy and displeased with the billing and all the issues I’ve had to waste time with after! Condescension, Lack of quantitative follow-through An exorbitant prices should not be rewarded with business!

First visit to a Patient First was for a DOT physical. As soon as I checked in, I was greeted and they took my information. Once that was complete, I was called back within just a few minutes. The entire staff was professional and courteous. The physical did not take long and I was out quickly. I was surprised as to how well organized and clean the facility was kept. I would return again without hesitation.

While the wait is generally reasonable, the staff is so-so. Don’t get your prescriptions here, they charge $ 10 each without even seeing what your insurance says your copay is. And then they’ll end up having to refund you. Makes no sense. But it’s definitely better than going to an emergency room, waiting for hours, and paying $ 100-$ 200!

I train in Mixed Martial Arts so from time to time I need seen for minor injuries so I come here instead of the emergency room. Staff is friendly and for the most part I am seen in reasonable amount of time. It can be packed from time to time and the wait is super long but that’s not often. Oh and I like that I can get blood work and physicals done for my professional bouts.

The front office staff was great! The nurse who took care of my husband was rude, short, and lacked any and all kindness or listening skills. I have used the Patient First in Bel Air, and had a great experience. So the fact the we were treated so poorly was a real disappointment!

I had to visit a doctor due to an accident I had at Aberdeen Proving Ground. I had never been to a Patient First before and was not sure what to expect. Luckily I was happily surprised. I went after lunch on a Friday. The parking lot was fairly empty, and no one was in the waiting room. As soon as I signed in, someone was out to meet me and take me back for questions. Soon as that was done, I was being seen by a doctor. I had x-rays taken and had no wait for that. While the doctor misdiagnosed something, it wasn’t his specialty area, so I don’t blame him for that. All in all I found my first visit to be very pleasant, speedy, and low cost. I picked up two perscriptions from them for $ 5 a bottle. Not too shabby! I’m a fan.
