Matchbox

I happen to like this place. It’s cozy, a couple of chairs if you want to smoke there but a nice selection of mid and higher-​end cigars priced where you would expect them to be. They have humidors, cutters, torches, and other accessories across all price points.
I read the other reviews citing poor customer service, and was surprised as I had used the store off and on when I lived here a couple of years ago. I went back in today and no, someone didn’t fall over for me. But, I was greeted, asked if I needed help and was left alone when I said I was browsing, and checked out promptly when I was ready to go. I’m not sure what else anyone should expect. As I was leaving, and older lady walked in looking for a gift… she said she didn’t know a thing, and the gentleman then gave some great help and advice.

Unfortunately, this place has had a bad reputation for mistreating some customers in the past. I have too, experienced this but at a less severe level. Window shopping is apparently frowned upon at Matchbox and right there, 35% of your business is gone.

Nice selection of fine cigars and pipe tobacco!
