This rating is for the flamenco dancers. The place is small and intimate but can fit about 100 or so people. The dancers were good, especially the 3 females. The female singer was good also. One of the dancers was absolutely beautiful, but I digress. The dancers were animnated, excited and very engaging. Price for just the show is 30 some bucks and you get a drink with that. Eat dinner earlier somewhere else. The dinner and show price is $ 66. The food is mediocre at best. Bring a camera and enjoy the show.

Las Carboneras is a fantastic small venue(tablao) to see flamenco in Madrid. It is centrally located(Sol Metro, just past Mercado de San Miguel). Easy to find! Dinner is delicious, and the paella is excellent. The owner is very hospitable. The show draws you in with its intensity and emotion, and the dancers, singers and guitarists work as an incredible team. I actually returned a second night and saw a different set of dancers. Fantástico!

My boyfriend and I ended our last night in Spain with a flamenco show +dinner. We enjoyed every minute of it! I def recommend reservations. You can choose to have dinner there or just drinks. We chose to do the dinner menu option 2 which was around $ 70−75pp. It was def worth it since that also includes the show and a 3 course meal plus unlimited alcoholic beverages. The food was tasty, we enjoyed it from start to finish. The place is small and intimate, we had seats right in front of the stage. The performers are amazing and have so much passion and energy, you can feel it. I highly recommend this venue and show if you are visiting Madrid!

We ended our night out in Madrid with a Flamenco show at Tablao Las Carboneras. It’s not a large venue, but it has a nice intimate vibe. Be sure to get there early to get a good spot by the stage. Our tickets included a drink.(alcoholic or non) Be sure to use the bathroom before or after the show. They consider it rude if you get up during the performance! Oh and it gets quite hot inside after all the people pack in! Dress up, but wear short sleeves if possible! The show was incredible! There is so much passion and intensity in their performance. The music is full of soul. A truly wonderful performance by talented artists. It was a perfect ending to our visit to Madrid!

Las Carboneras… Only given a day and a half to see the sights, we stumbled upon this place. Our Dr. Sanchez said the place touched him with an aura, so I went with it… the Dr. has approved. The story that unfolded watching these performances was nothing short of breathtaking. Perhaps it was the performers this night that made it so special, however they set it OFF from the first song, to the last dance. This is truly an art of soul, and magnificence if you are willing to believe the history, the heart, and power in this craft. Lovely and transformative. Growing up, I remember the band Spain, and his BLUEMOODSOFSPAIN. But why so meloncholy, Josh Haden? :) I believe a visit through the Goya wing at the Prado, drifting through the Mercado San Miguel with friends and tapas, and a finale at Tablao Las Carboneras bring together a story of Spain that is haunting in its weight, passion, and vision of the Spain I did not expect to see.

These people can put in a show and it was passionate to an extreme. Talking to the guitarist it’s all improv, the guitarist bases his playing on what the signer does and then the dancers interpret this into a story with their dance. The«feeling» and emotion to which they dance really shows you how videos do it no justice. They also do dance classes for students on group tour here.

«Si Si… Las Carboneras! Flamenco y Dinner! You are here! Just down the alley, you will see senoritas!» our taxi driver said enthusiastically as he dropped us off in a dark alley in the middle of nowhere! …As my friend and I turned the corner, however, we saw the neon light above a red wooden door and went in. We had gotten a deal as part of our trip package from the travel agent which included a 3 course meal and all you can drink Sangria with the flamenco show. I think it ended up costing us about 65 euros each for the evening. The Sangria was more like Punch, but it was bottomless, so it took us a few glasses to get in the mood. The food was mediocre; bland chicken and a simple salad. We definitely had better throughout the rest of our trip! Plus, we were so preoccupied by the flamenco show, that we forgot to eat as soon as it began! Ohhhh but the dancing! The Dancing was simply Diviiiine! Very authentic; full of such raw passion and emotion! Each dancer brought to their solo something truly unique and entrancing! Not to mention how lonnnng the show went on as well! You really get your money’s worth! Basically, what they lack in culinary skill, they make up for tenfold in artistic display! What I would recommend is NOT getting a set 3 course meal and ordering what you wish off their menu.

This is a small venue and club centered around the art of Flamenco dancing. We went here one evening while in Madrid for a show. They serve dinner but you can opt just to pay for the show. With the show, you get a single drink. I had a soda, but several people had sangria and they all said it was extremely weak. If Sangria should be good anywhere, it should be good in Spain. The seating inside is pretty compact and some people had a hard time seeing over other people since we were seated at long tables. The Flamenco started with no explanation about the style of dancing, so if you are interested in the background, do a little research about it before you see a show. The performers(dancers and musicians) gave it there all. They were stomping and dancing around the small stage for about an hour. Each dancer had a slightly different style and a different costume, so that made it interesting. I was always interested in what the next dancer would do. They get a serious workout as they dance, as they were absolutely dripping in sweat. Overall, I enjoyed this experience. We paid about 30 € a person for the show and drink. It’s something to do once, but I can’t see doing this more than once. Go and see a Flamenco show while in Spain!
