No puedo dar mucha valoración ya que sólo paramos para una cañita y un vino pero la verdad es que los camareros muy atentos y majos
El sitio muy acogedor y la terraza acondicionada me pareció un puntazo.
Eché un vistazo a la carta y me pareció algo carillo pero no puedo opinar pues no pedimos nada, así que probablemente lo valga.
Creo que es un local con un lugar estratégico para encontrarte con él y por lo tanto bastante de turisteo y por eso los precios, pero claro esto es sólo una divagación mía que no puedo confirmar.
Conclusión: Local y decoración cuidada.

Agradable, acogedor. No muy grande. Con bonita terraza tipo soportal.

Came here extremely tired. All we wanted was a place that was opened early for some food. So glad we came!
Here is were I discovered the simplest yet most delicious way to eat tomatoes. PAN CON TOMATE. Simple crushed tomatoes with olive oil on a soft slice of bread and Jamon Serrano. It was grandious and life changing. The coffee latte was good too, especially for the jet lag. The sandwich with an over easy egg was excellent too.
Sitting near the street on the outside is the best way to enjoy it.
They do not speak English like most places here despite all the tourists who visit Madrid.
Service was slow, Spanish do everything at their pace, often times in a lazy way, get used to it.

It is hard to find a place that doesn’t rip you off and have decent food. Obviously you can’t eat at the places at the tourist traps, but even when you get to the off streets, anything goes. My mom and I stopped by this place after seeing the Museum. She ordered the pork and I ordered the chicken skewers with noodles.
The portions came out great, and my mom’s pork was delicious. I liked my chicken too, but I didn’t find it to be the best. But to be fair, chicken is really hard to cook well, because it can dry up so easily, you know? Sometimes no matter how hard you try it can not taste good because that’s just how chicken is. Despite that, I found that this place did a good job with their chicken. Their noodles were a little bland and I did expect a little more depth to them. Despite the disappointing noodles it was a good experience.
The waitresses are super friendly and attentive. They are learning English so they like to practice with us foreigners, but they are also really patient if you’re trying to learn Spanish and want to practice it. Great service overall.

The wait staff sold this place. Friendly, helpful, they helped us decide on drinks and food, paced the meal, and were attentive without being obsequious. The food was good, generously sized, and tasty. This felt like the corner neighborhood place you would return to time and again.

My boyfriend and I were looking for a place that served a type of brunch, and this was the perfect spot! We ordered their potatoes with eggs & ham, and another dish that resembled taquitos served with delicious guacamole & cream cheese! Also their coffee was great because they serve Nespresso. Atmosphere is lovely too! We would definitely return just to try their desserts and other things.

Lo descubrimos por casualidad, buscábamos otro sitio pero no lo encontrábamos, y derepente apareció Marina.
Como siempre, un ojo a la carta determina el sí o el no, es un sí.
Está lleno de guiris viendo un partido de fútbol, no recuerdo quién jugaba, un poco ruidoso, pero se está bien.
Pedimos croquetas, las croquetas están buenísimas, juraría que eran de jamón y setas, pero recuerdo que eran fabulosas.
Pedimos también un plato con Hummus, mutabal y tabbouleh, bueníiisimo!
De postre coulant de chocolate con helado de castañas, qué mezcla, ¡qué bomba más deliciosa! y crêpe con compota de manzana.
Muy bien. Me encantó.

A very good option on Huertas for lunch or dinner. I was impressed by the quality of the food and size of the portions. I had a bowl of salmorejo, solomillo with an unusual and tasty grape sauce, and flan. The young waiter was very quick and friendly. For the fixed price menu of the day, they had a meat, a fish (paella) and vegetarian option. It seems from one visit that the staff and management are on their game!

We were semi-​desperately hunting for a place with decent fish and vegetarian options and some level of acceptance for our seriously inadequate Spanglish. This was a very short walk from our hotel in Plaza del Cortes and both food and service were excellent.
The tapas were sorta modern/​fusion style, no fried boquerones to be found here, but they were a good break from the nonstop Spanish fare we had been on! We also ordered a couple of Asian-​Spanish entrees for our mom who is mostly vegetarian and we ended up eating all her food. *bad*
Good mix of modern and traditional. All in all, awesome place!!!

This bar is close to Plaza Santa Ana and stumbled upon it & it immediately became one of my favorites.
The main reason was because they had amazing Mexican nachos… went back a few weeks ago and they looked at me like I was crazy when I asked for them. I had gotten them maybe a month before! They do have a good Caesar salad but besides that I haven’t tried much food!
Even though the nachos are not longer at Bar Miranda I still love this place!

I come here quite a bit when all my favorite neighborhood cafes or bars are full. The service is usually decent and the drinks average. I’ve never tried any of their food but they always seem to have a steady stream of customers, maybe that have come for the same reason as me. Great location on Calle Huertas probably adds to the ambiance here. Not a place I ever plan to go but it’s okay to sit and have a drink with a friend.

Regular… tirando a mal. No soy yo muy de poner menos de tres estrellas, porque casi siempre hay algo en los locales (ya sea la atención, la decoración, el ambiente o lo que sea) que merece aumentar la calificación de dos a tres, pero en este caso no me queda más remedio que dejar las estrellas tal cual están.
Llegamos a este sitio de puro milagro caminando por las calles aledañas a Huertas, turísticas como ellas solas, y por su fachada el lugar no tenía mala pinta. Tienen menú del día por doce euros: es decir, no es caro, pero tampoco es que te lo estén regalando.
De primero pedimos salmorejo. Cuando llegó, sabía a rayos. Pero tan, tan, TAN a rayos que ha sido la primera vez en mi vida que he devuelto un plato a la cocina y he pedido que me traigan una cosa diferente. La camarera dijo que llevaba mucho vinagre. Yo no sé qué era, pero el salmorejo picaba en la lengua. Y eso que tenía bastante buen aspecto en general… Lástima que en el paladar, la sensación no fuese la misma.
Yo de segundo pedí bistec con patatas fritas. El bistec estaba rico, aunque no era la mejor pieza de carne del mundo. Venía acompañado de alguna verdura que no recuerdo como hecha a la plancha y que había chupado bastante aceite. Las patatas, tenían toda la pinta de ser de bolsa.
En resumen: que si un día estás por allí, tienes prisa y no te importa comer un poco de batalla, adelante. Pero si vas buscando algo por encima de la media, no se te ocurra ni poner un pie en este sitio, porque no va a satisfacer tus expectativas ni de lejos. Y eso que nuestra camarera fue bastante simpática.

I love this place. During a month in Madrid, I went here when in need of something slightly more substantive than fried bar food. The staff were friendly and attentive, and didn’t seem to mind my American accented Spanish. The salmorejo — thick, creamy gazpacho with jamón — was as good as I’ve ever had it. The pinenut and spinach croquettes were also excellent. The salads, too, were fresh and delicious. A few of the entrees were less than awe-​inspiring, but the starter fare was so good that it didn’t matter.

Paseando por Huertas, el otro día, descubrí este bar que no conocía. Nos gustó por fuera y decidimos entrar, estaba demasiado lleno y decidimos salir. Me quedé con ganas de quedarme, supongo que volveré otro día, si paso por aquí y está más vacío. Me pareció un sitio moderno y polivalente, ya sabéis que ahora se lleva esto de mezclar todo en uno, de ofrecer diversas posibilidades. Me parece una opción muy legítima, sobre todo en tiempos de crisis, para aprovechar las distintas horas del día y dar lo que cada uno espera en cada momento: desde el desayuno por la mañana hasta las copas nocturnas, pasando por el menú del mediodía y el café de la tarde. Al menos sé que no importará la hora que sea cuando pase por aquí, siempre podré entrar y disfrutar.

Ubicado en una de las esquinas privilegiadas de la Calle Huertas, en el cruce con la Calle León, está Miranda, un bar de día/​bar de tapas/​restaurante de menú/​coctelería que, en esencia, es difícil de definir.
Con una decoración que de manera ambigua definiré como ‘estimulante’, el lugar es muy original, y me atrevería a decir que sus menús son de los mejores de la calle, especialmente al tratarse de un local que yo no definiría exclusivamente como restaurante. De esos sitios a los que, obviamente, va a parar algún extranjero algo despistado (acertando en su elección), pero que es muy conocido entre los que vivimos por la zona.
Los menús tal vez sean algo más caros que en otros restaurantes (creo que sale por unos quince euros, más o menos), pero la comida es de muy buena calidad y hay bastante variedad en las elecciones.
A mí me gusta Miranda porque es muchas cosas a la vez, y todas buenas.
