Definitely the highlight of my trip to Madrid. A bit tricky to find(it’s in the building across from the overpass). Received a nice welcome from the server/manager, were seated close to the stage. Small and intimate theatre with a stage. 2 dancers, a singer and guitarist. The dancers gave 110 percent. Loved it.

3.5 stars We watched a wonderful Flamenco performance here on a Tuesday evening. It’s a small, but intimate venue. Seating is a bit cramped, especially for a large group, but we made it worked. Wish that they had more tapas or little bites on the menu. I was a bit hungry so I opted for their«Torta de Las Tablas», an apple pie. It was pretty tasty. The group enjoyed the performance and were ready to explore the neighborhood after the show!

This stop was by far our highlight in Madrid. We very much enjoyed the dancing, the music, and the energy from the stage in this small theater. Not only was the show great, but we also found a very hard-to-find vegetarian meal in the nearby area. It was a great show and I highly recommend it to travelers looking for a fun night filled with Flamenco!

Below expectation but still a good show. There was no use of castanets or fans and they didnt have colorful dresses. The sangria was all juice. Hour long slow and was able to walk right in without reservations on a monday at 8. Didn’t try the food. We would definitely try a different place next time, won’t go back or recommend.

Las Tablas completely exceeded my expectations. I wanted to see a flamenco show but didn’t want to go to some cheesy tourist-trap where OAP’s are shipped in by the busload. Las Tablas is tourist-friendly but has an intimate, cool and authentic vibe, with small tables for around 30 people. We even ate there to save some time — the oxtail in red wine with garlic potatoes was fantastic, washed down with an excellent bottle of Toro from a small vineyard. The performance was absolutely brilliant and I can honestly include it as one of the highlights of my life. The passion and intensity of the dancers is just mesmerising. You could feel their rythym in your heart and it was hard to sit still. The accompanying singer and guitarist were equally excellent. I never wanted it to end — HIGHLYRECOMMENDED!

While in Madrid I decided to go watch a Flamenco show. I chose this particular venue because it was recommended on my Madrid Pocket Book by Lonely Planet, my hotel suggested it and it was a short walk from our accommodation. I highly recommend making a reservation. You can do it online or on the phone. Have your hotel front desk ring them for you to save money on a long distance call. FYI: Their online reservation system doesn’t take reservations for same day bookings. Once I arrived we promptly were seated on a high top on the right side of the stage. While it wasn’t a front stage view, it was a nice unobstructed view. The price to see the show is 27 € and it includes a glass of beer, wine or sangria. The«raciones» were a little pricey, but that was expected. You could get some things for 8 € but most of the menu was in the 22 € price range. As for the dancing, the dancers were very talented. I was disappointed to not see«castañuelas» and more traditional costumes but the overall experience was fantastic. The venue did have a small theater feelings. No matter where you sat you could enjoy the show.

I came here with a friend to see a flamenco show in March 2014 and it was great! Besides sitting next to an obnoxious group of American high schoolers in Madrid for a trip, the show was great. The dancers were very energetic and passionate about the music. The flamenco show featured passionate musicians and energetic dancers. The stage is small and the venue is small, so be sure to either reserve a ticket online or come early.

What a way to start a trip to Mardrid! Las Tablas is an intoxicating journey into the heart of Spanish culture. From the moment I stepped in, I was completely mesmerized by the performances — the singers, instrumentalists, the performers! I don’t think this maybe the most authentic/traditional performance, but it was none the less, outstanding. The lead singer had the voice of an angel, the musicians played with an ineffable passion, and I was completely floored by the three dancers. Getting here was a little difficult. It’s a little off the beaten path and you nay have to ask for directions. If you speak Spanish, you won’t have any trouble finding your way. But, come with a GPS/map if you don’t. It’s tucked around a corner, behind a few bushes so it’s difficult to see from the main path. I know it may be frustrating getting here, but trust me, this hidden gem is worth the trek. Service was great! The waiters were attentive, helpful, and very knowledgeable. One of my pet peeves is when servers at establishments like this accidentally get in the way of the audience moving. But, I never noticed them blocking my view. In conclusion, this was the perfect way to start a your to Madrid and Las Tablas is worth the trek :)

I am not sure how authentic the place is based on some of the reviews, but we had a real good time in this intimate atmosphere of this place. The price was right and the dancers were great. This was one of the highlights of our stay in Madrid.

I watched a Flamenco show here on Valentine’s day 2011 «Great» Features 1. Awesome Flamenco dancers, Great dance performance for almost 1.5 hours for € 15 2. You can make reservation online with no added fee 3. Drinks are reasonable price — I had a Peach juice in a bottle for € 4, wine, beer € 3 were cheaper than the juice which is very common in European countries 4. The staff were nice, friendly and attentive 5. Taking pictures during the performance was allowed «Not So Great» Features 1. For a tourist it was difficult to find the place because it is located in an alley, you cannot really see the sign from the main road. I had to ask a local to tell me where to go after I have walked down the street a few times in the dark at night. However, it is safer to walk in at night in Madrid than in Los Angeles 2. Since I went to watch the show by myself they sat me in a the only one corner table, it was located on the side so my view of the dancers was on the side, however the dancers are moving around a lot so I still enjoyed the show. The place I sat was not that nice because the staff and guests can walk infront of me so that interrupted me while I was watching the performance 3. The venue is small — there were about 15 tables for 2 people, stage is small too. It is really an intimate setting. I still like it since I was going by myself but if you want an elaborate Flamenco show then this is not for you.
