La Nueva Troje

Superbe endroit pour fumer une très bonne shisha, des prix très raisonnables et un accueil au top. beaucoup de gentillesse dans un cadre détente .adresse à garder

I stayed in Spain for a month and lived in the Chueca neighborhood for that time. I absolutely loved La Nueva Troje. I came here almost every day, every week, since coming here for the first time early June. Not only was the shisha very cheap (as compared to the States and other Shisha bars in Madrid) but they sold bottles of wine (quality wine too) for 13 – 15 euros. My check was never too high – regardless of the amount of bottles of wine my friends and I bought. I came here to pre-​game, I came here to do homework, I came here to spend time with my friends and have a laugh. The staff was just wonderful, and being that I lived in the neighborhood, sometimes I’d see the workers walking the streets of Chueca and they always greeted me with a «Hola guapa!» Such great service, great food, quality wine/​drinks, and wonderful shisha. Couldn’t have asked for anything better.
Currently I am trying to find a hookah bar here in America that would meet up to La Nueva Troje’s standards and have yet to find one. I don’t think I will.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND COMING HERE.

Great selection of music (some nights you’ll have top 40, reggaeton, bachata, 80’s throwbacks)

On my way back to the hostel in Chueca we were approached my a promoter for this bar. We were given a free hooka (shisha as they call it) with the purchase of any cocktail. The lounge inside is decorated very nicely and is quite clean. Their mojitos are very good. The music was very enjoyable. Overall a fantastic atmosphere to enjoy with your friends. The bar also offered complimentary wifi. Would definitely return if I go back Madrid.

Not really a destination bar but here are the good points:
— Hookah/​shisha available
— Blended drinks available, which is pretty rare in Madrid
— Albeit limited, tables and seating available
— Friendly staff
I wouldn’t make it a point to come here but if in the area I’d consider it.

La antigua Troje se hubiera llevado 4 ó 5 estrellas porque desde su atento personal hasta su decoración eran muy especiales, pero esta nueva Troje no deja de ser un redecorado local con aspiración a mega diseño. La atención no es la más deseable, que el tipo de la barra permanezca impasible mirando para otro lado mientras vas a pagar no te hace que la experiencia te animé a repetir. Por cierto, no sé si tendrán WIFI, pero cómo casi todos los locales de la zona, la cobertura móvil baja a 0 a poco que profundices en el local, claro que eso no es culpa de ellos.

I went to La Nueva Troje last night for the first time after staying in Madrid for a month or so. It was the first place that I walked into and rally thought that it was a real multi purpose place that had elegant style, friendly bartenders, and a menu to die for. Oh and did i mention that the drinks are about 6 Euros and that there is Free WiFi?!
I went looking for a new hangout spot, and I sure found it. There are many different Tea (infusions) there, but not as many as an old Lonely Planet guidebook says. Maybe 15 herbal teas or so to choose form, as well as black tea.
I arrived at 1:30am, thinking that I would maybe have a drink and then return home. I ended up loving the home made fresh fruit juices so much that I stayed… especially when I could add some liquor to the drink for only 2 Euros extra. Ended up staying until they closed a little after 3:30AM and thoroughly enjoyed myself using WiFi to send a few messages, taking full advantage of the couches, and enjoying the friendly and inclusive clientele.
5 stars. For all of you English speakers, go here. just do it. doesn’t matter if you are gay or straight. you will love it.
Oh and did I mention it is a hooka bar too? (I dont partake, but it seemed like people were enjoying it)
Fui a La Nueva Troje anoche por primera vez después de permanecer en Madrid durante un mes más o menos. Fue el primer lugar que entré en mitin y pensé que era un lugar multiusos real que tenía un estilo elegante, camareros amables, y un menú para morirse. Ah, y no he mencionado que las bebidas son alrededor de 6 euros y que no hay WiFi gratis!
Fui en busca de un nuevo lugar frecuentado, y estoy segura que encontré. Hay muchos diferentes té (infusiones) allí, pero no tantos como un viejo guía Lonely Planet dice. Tal vez 15 infusiones o menos para elegir la forma, así como el té negro.
Llegué a las 1:30 am, pensando que iba a tener tal vez una copa y luego regresar a casa. Terminé amando la casa hizo zumos de fruta fresca tanto que me quedé … especialmente cuando podría añadir un poco de licor de la bebida por sólo 2 euros adicionales. Acabamos quedándonos hasta que cerraron poco después de las 3:30 AM y disfrutamos completamente a mí mismo usando WiFi para enviar algunos mensajes, aprovechando al máximo los sofás, y disfrutando de la clientela amable e integradora.
5 estrellas. Para todos ustedes hablan inglés, haga clic aquí. sólo hazlo. No importa si eres gay o heterosexual. le va a encantar.
Ah, y ¿le he dicho que es un bar hooka demasiado? (Yo no participo, pero parecía que las personas estaban disfrutando de ella)

Ayer estuve por primera vez en este sitio pero no puede chequear por problemas con la wifi. Me pareció un lugar cómodo y agradable, idóneo para una charla relajada (de hecho de eso se trataba, ya que fuimos ahí para mantener una animada charla-​coloquio)
El lugar está decorado con buen gusto, sin estridencias, nos atendieron bien y el capuccino que me tomé tras la primera copa me supo delicioso.
Creo que volveré, y si para entonces la wifi ya funciona le añadiré otra estrella.

Hace años era un autentico asiduo a la Troje, era mi sitio favorito para tomar café y charlar por las tarde. Con el paso del tiempo, el aumento de precios de la carta, y el cero de mantenimiento del local (aparecieron humedades, desconchones en la pintura, etc.) hicieron que dejara de resultarme atractivo y dejé de ir.
El sitio ha estado cerrado por reformas un tiempo, y lo acaban de reabrir hace no mucho. Lo han renovado prácticamente entero por dentro han cambiado la decoración y la verdad es que no me recuerda absolutamente nada al antiguo (también ha dejado de trasmitirme nada).
Por eso de sitio renovado y recuerdos antiguos, entré a tomarme algo y experimentar el cambio. Y me decepcionó profundamente. La gente que lo lleva ahora no es la de antes (lógicamente). Antes eran amables y ahora son estirados, antes se preocupaban por atenderte y ahora son indiferentes (prefieren fumar fuera).
Antes el local estaba lleno y ahora está vacío.
