of all the small bars and restaurants gathered around the most popular of the tiny town beaches in L’Escala, La Punxa stands out as being the best of the lot. With its dark wicker chairs, pleasant servers, attentive owner and interesting building it somehow manages to be lest «touristy». The menu is wider than its competitors and the food well presented. Highly recommend the local delicacy of a Tapa de Anchoas, and to drink vermouth from the barrel.
