Hotel Hospes Palacio del Bailío

Amazing hotel. I don’t know where to start. The service especially was great. The rooms are like lavishly furnished apartments– and ours opened onto the pool. Actually it might be larger than our apartment in New York. The bathrooms are fantastic. It was the little details that make the hotel really special, on arrival, they offer you water flavored with whatever fresh fruit they have that day; when you enter the room there are delicious little sponge cakes waiting on the table.
When we first arrived, they asked if we wanted a tour of the hotel. I now understand why, there are so many beautiful features for example, there is glass floor in the dining room with an archaeological dig below. The pool is surrounded by orange trees and it is extremely relaxing to sip sangria there.
My only complaint was the the room was extremely hot at night (it was summer) and the bed was hard (which was the same in all hotels we stayed in in Spain). The food at the pool was also terrible so I recommend eating elsewhere — plus the service at the pool was really spotty.

This place is absolute heaven. Made the on-​the-​go tourist just want to stop and relax. Has history, gorgeous design, luxurious pool, fabulous food and amazing service. Well done.

In Cordoba to find the best food, service, pool and old world style with clean crisp styling you must experience this place. Their breakfast pays homage to all the great foods in the South of Spain. It is worth every Euro and than some!
