A good value for delicious Italian food and great service, although some dishes need a little tweaking. I have cycled past Scarpetta hundreds of times and finally I got to visit. Although Rantzausgade isn’t exactly the most beautiful street in Copenhagen, the huge windows are good for people-watching(and they watch you!) and let in a lot of light for taking food photos. To go with the aesthetically-pleasing warm and white décor were servers of equal description. They were polite and friendly and came to take/bring plates in good tempo. The food itself was great with classic Italian flavours and nothing very experimental besides maybe the presentation. We went with the 5 course menu(275 dkk) which started with white asparagus, small shrimps, and bagna cauda; nicely moreish with the garlic but lightened with lemon and herbs. This was followed by lobster soup with peas, fennel, and scallop. There was sadly no actual lobster flesh in the soup and the scallop was cut into small pieces, but the taste was great and not too rich. Pasta is something I can’t skip at an Italian restaurant so I was looking forward to the cavatelli with salsiccia, lovage, peas, and Parmesan. The dish as a whole was excellent; however, there were so many big slices of spring onion that I just had to push them to the side. Maybe I am just acting like a child but I prefer when they are thinly sliced so they are not overpowering. With this menu our server suggested Nals Margreid 2015 Pinot Grigio(Alto Adige), and I think went well with everything. It costs 75 dkk per glass or 350 dkk for a bottle. There are several whites and reds you can get by the glass, which is always welcome! I was especially happy I had a refreshing white wine on hand when the fourth course arrived; prosciutto fresco with parsley cream and and grilled new onions. I was picturing a light dish with thinly-sliced, cured prosciutto, but what we received seemed to be thickly-sliced pork belly. This was also good but a touch too salty, and would have benefited from a few sparsely-dressed new potatoes or something else to soak up the salt. Our kind server didn’t skip a beat when we brought it up and she said she would pass it on to the kitchen. As for dessert, it looked great but I usually shy from sweets if it is more than a bite. Instead I went with the cheese plate, which costs 25 dkk extra. The cheeses and preserve were average, although one brie-ish cheese was interestingly lightly grilled. It came with a slice of bread that was nicely browned outside and had chunks of dried fruit. I would have liked that the bread in the basket that came with our meal was also baked further, but it tasted nicer than a lot of bread I’ve had in Italy. Keep in mind that there is a 25 dkk charge per person for water, although you do get free refills, but it didn’t show up on our bill. I am not sure if they forgot to add it or if it comes free when one orders wine. I really don’t like when restaurants charge for tap water, even if it is chilled, but I got sparkling water, so I would feel ok with it if we did have to pay.

This is my second time dining in Scarpetta, the first being on the one at Islands Brygge and I’m still happy with the experience. To be fair, it’s not a traditional Italian place, more of modern fusion with Scandinavian twist if I allow myself to use the fancy word, but that doesn’t make it any less delicious. Although I still dream about my Italian dinner at a nice restaurant in Parma(and nothing comes remotely close yet), I find Scarpetta is good enough place to indulge your Italian cravings. The location is on Rantzausgade, which is just a couple of minutes walk from Forum Metro st that benefits me greatly(as I’m usually too impatient to take bus and I have no bikes) in contrast to the other Scarpetta at Islands Brygge that is a bit far too reach if you don’t have a bike. The service was great and always with a smile. They were good with timing between the dishes since we ordered the five-course meal. The food — Mina K and I both ordered the five course since it has to be ordered by the whole table. I have no regrets, they were delicious! The starter was white asparagus with shrimps, banca caugna, lemon and herbs that were fresh and perfect to line up your stomach for the upcoming soup. The second course — the lobster soup was probably not quite instagramable(hence the lack of picture) but they were delicious all the same. Then the third course — the pasta(cavatelli), peas, salsiccia, lovage and parmesan was out and that was my favourite. I’m always a fan of pasta and salsiccia(shoot me, but I do love my sausages!) so combined together, this dish went straight to my stomach(and heart, for that matter). The fourth course — prosciutto fresco, parsley crème and burnt onion was supposed to be the«main course»(although all four courses were relatively starter size) and like Mina K, I was surprised to see that it was more of pork belly than cured meat, but hey — meat! no complaint from me. The meat however tasty was a bit too salty and too much on the fatty side, perhaps a few more seconds on the pan would do wonder! …and so came the dessert — rhubarb mousse, strawberry sorbet and white chocolate crumble. A little disclaimer — I love anything rhubarb, so they couldn’t really mess up on the last dish for me. I’m pretty much sold and was aware on how full I had become(I used to be a very big eater and still had hard time to believe that five starter meal would make me full, but hey — I’ve grown older and wiser!) The only reason I didn’t give this place five star was the too-salty prosciutto and the fact that they charge tap water(25DKK) although we didn’t get it added to the bill, but seriously? But I’m still happy to go again in the future.

It is nice but the ceiling is too low so it can be very very noisy on a busy night, other than that he food is nice he wine list is very decent.

It bears noting that my impression of this place was made while obscenely jet-lagged, with fresh blisters on my feet from new shoes and a long trek through various airports. I am not, when in that state, easy to please and it is that understanding that boosts the rating to its fifth star. I can only imagine how much I would enjoy the spot if I’d been feeling better and hadn’t started dinner with a headache. My disgustingly American self does wish they’d had air conditioning, but that’s sort of silly in a place with weather like that, I’d just chosen to visit while it was unseasonably warm. While the waitress, a bouncy young woman whose flawless English was a blessing, given my state, did indeed inquire about champers and recommend the five plate prix fixe, I elected to drink about a liter and a half of water and stick to three courses instead. In better shape, I’d recommend all five, given how good the ones I had turned out to be. The carafe was filled with tap water, a less expensive option than bottled, certainly, and the city water is excellent quality, albeit harder than I find particularly tasty. My first course was a delicious little salad with fresh greens and bits of meat and crunchy breadcrumbs, with a bit of balsamic and olive oil and a touch of some sort of crema. The second was an exquisite tuna steak with cherry tomatoes and capers and some deliciously tender asparagus. The dessert was a sort of reinterpretation of strawberry shortcake, with buttery cookie and lovely strawberry gelato sprinkled with a fascinating, colorful sort of crunch I never did identify. I have every intention of going back the next time I’m in town and trying a few more things, especially since the menu changes regularly, to keep one from being bored.

The food was alright but unfortunately I felt sweaty and nauseous after eating and vomited immediately after dinner. This was two years ago and I’m still afraid to go back since. I can’t say for certain if it was food poisoning or if it was because of the large amount of olive oil in the spaghetti but all I know is I won’t be back. I’m also not a big fan of ordering small plates, each about 99 a plate and still not being full after 3 – 4 plates.

I tried this place on a whim with a friend because we were in the neighborhood, and were hungry. So glad we did! It looked so cozy from the outside, and I was shocked when I saw the great 5 course menu for only 275 kr. We of course went for it, and had a great bottle of wine as well for 250. Every course was a palette of colors and flavors. I especially loved the butternut squash risotto and mussel soup. And I also took note of the great customer service. The servers did a great job explaining the food and bringing out the different courses in due time. It’s hard to find good service like that! I would highly recommend this place for a very Danish, hyggelig Italian restaurant in the middle of Nørrebro at a reasonable price.

Absolutely amazing meal! They even made it vegetarian for me. I chose the 5 course — veggie salad, celery soup, pumpkin risotto, potato kale salad, and passion fruit panna cotta. Each course was better than the one before it. Service and entire atmosphere were perfect. Highly recommended!

I am already a fan of any restaurant under the Cofoco group and once again I was not disappointed! I chose this place because I loooove the concept of a five course meal for 275kr. It doesn’t get any better than that! We got a nice little table by the window and were offered a glass of champagne(although it is their sale stategy to make you buy more), it is still cozy to be asked if you want it, which makes the expeirence feel a bit more special. They explain the dishes and are good at selling it to you! We got a bread basket and there was some delicious olive oil on the table to dip it in, and then quickly got our first dish: a beef tartar which was out of this world. Soft beef with a peppery mayonnaise, and some form of popped potato crumbs which was deilicous. With this we had a bottle of Chianti, which was quite expensive but if you split the cost(and are wanting to have a special evening it is worth it, the wine was delicious) . We were then served a beautiful scallop soup with perfectly tender scallops, and a parsely oil which gave a nice mosaic color to it. After this we were served a gnocchi pasta with some form of chicken and bread crumbs– not my favorite, the hen(or rooster or so) was too powerful in its taste and I don’t know, it was greatly executed it was just not my thing, my friend however really liked it! By this time I was exploding by how full I was, when we recieved the fourth course, a pig cheek with mash. I could barely touch it becasue I was so full which I am very sad about but it was just TOOMUCH food for me, the pasta dish probably didn’t help this. But I tried a little and it as very good but too heavy. Lastly we were asked if we wanted coffee, and if we wanted it with dessert or after which was good so they could time it in well. I got a coffee and we had an olive oil sorbet which was interesting but maybe not my favorite, but I do recomend to try it! All in all, the service was great, super friendly, and knowledgeable if you had questions about the wine(without sounding snarky as many do). I REALLY recommend this place if you feel like having a cozy but special dinner with someone.

Cozy place with reasonable prices dishes. Would not recommend it as a place to celebrate an occasion, but perfect for the everyday treat. Good food comes in many small dishes

«A very nice experience» . Scarpetta is a italian-ish restaurant, with extremely good food, at a reasonable price. I have found that the dishes are surely italian inspired but with a Scandiavian-ish twist. If your table goes for the menu, then the price is really good but the amount of food is maybe a little too much(250 dkk for 5 courses). Me and a some friends also added Foie gras an took cheese instead of the dessert. Unfortunately the Foie gras was not good, but the cheese plate was delicious. Wine is good, but totally overpriced. We were eight and the service was really really great, friendly, fast and fun. All in all, I maybe will not come back soon. But it’s a very nice place to experience at least once.

Good food, relatively affordable by CPH standards, efficient and friendly service. At times the service was rushed(ya know, wham-bam-thank-you-ma’am speed). But our server accommodated our request to slow down the pacing, so all was good in the end. We got the 5 course prix-fixe. Best of the night was the creamy and light celery soup. Great. Not strictly classical Italian restaurant, everything has a Scandinavian twist to it. They explain when you order that the plates are small and recommend 4 – 5 dishes per person. I’d say that’s accurate. I found 3+dessert to be ok for dinner. 4+dessert is managable, but I was very full. For the price(250 dkk for 5 courses), I’m very happy with the meal. They have a rotating menu, and list the current and next menus. So worth checking online before booking to see what’s being served. Note: The servers are trained to up-sell and you’ll be asked if you want bubbly before the meal and coffee at the end. And strongly hinted to order 4 – 5 plates. I recognize it’s a business, and the servers are very sweet about it, but they are not subtle.

Great restaurant. The service was very good, and the atmosphere very cosy. The dishes come in the size of a starter, so you need to order a few things in order to get full. The quality of the food was very good, and they had a variety of about 13 different items. The bread was they served was fantastic. Prices were good too. food starts from around 60 kr and wine around 200kr a bottle. Will def. be coming back :)
