Got an okey starter with Burrata Mozzarella, but the pizza is probably the worst pizza I have ever tasted. The dough has the same texture as a pancake and it feels like it has never been in the oven. The two stars is only because you can get wine from tap for an ok price and the place looks really good. So if you want to go, go because of the cocktails or wine, not because of the food.

Italian restaurant with a nice interior and friendly staff. The food is quite good, nothing spectacular, but you can get a nice pizza or pasta for a decent price. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed and it’s great for a dinner with friends. It can get a bit noisy in the dining area because the tables are right next to each other and everyone is fitted into one space. The entrance to the restaurant is from a courtyard, so you have to spot the restaurant from the street and walk to the back of the courtyard. Luckily they have a lighted sign with the restaurant’s name. When paying the bill, I was very surprised when the waitress told us that normally they don’t allow even a group of few people to pay separately because they are too busy for that. She said that they’ll make an exception this time and we could go to the counter to pay separately. But as a guest to the restaurant I don’t really want to hear from the waitress that they’re too busy to serve. Perhaps the restaurant should look into booking less tables or hiring more staff. Overall the dinner was fine and you can have an enjoyable experience there, but it doesn’t rank very high on my list.

Good restaurant with tasty pizzas and a great atmosphere very close from the lakes. The restaurant is quiet big — and therefore can be a bit noisy. Perfect for groups of friends on a Friday night.

Grand Torino sets the standard! 12 course meal for 350 dkk(50 euro/60USD) for high quality food, great service and attention to detail and we walked out full as happy piglets ;-) our favorites were the classics(buffalo mozzarella and parma ham), sardines with grilled lemons and the ricotta filled ravioli. We’ll be back!

This is not a bad place to eat — and not too expensive either. To start with the good stuff: The service was amazing; fast, friendly, and personal. Truly felt welcome. The room itself is also really cool. I like the atmosphere and the combination of the large spacious room and the dim lighting combined with the shared larger tables as well as more personal ones, all helps create a informal ambiance. They truly found a great space in the city and used it well. However i wasn’t that impressed with the food — and after all thats what it is about. I should add a disclaimer right about here: I HATE truffle oil. I dont know what it is. I feel like that X% of the population who cant eat Coriander(which I dont understand because coriander is awesome). Anyway all dishes except for the dessert had truffle oil, and that might have clouded/affected my judgement. We started with the beef tartar which was really good. had it not been for the truffle oil… the meat was lean and soft like butter. for the main dish i had the mushroom ravioli again with truffle oil. Another nice but also fairly bland dish. wasn’t too impressed and i dont think removing the truffle oil would have saved it. It wasn’t by any means bad but nothing special either. The dessert was the classic: Tiramisu. Really classic and very good.

A hesitant 3, because we simply werent that amazed by the food. We were amazed by the place. Cool spacious bar decorated in butcher style with a somewhat hidden entrance from within a court yard. Staff were nice, service was prompt, ambience great — i’m coming back to try more of the menu :)
