An excellent studio. Nalini is great. I’ve taken 35 classes over the last 6 months. Its always kept clean and the studios have a good mix of heat and humidity. The teachers are knowledgable and passionate. There are many different styles of yoga classes to choose from. Quite a few classes are in English. The lockers and showers are clean, organized and welcoming. Additionally there is a new location in Fredriksberg. O yes and I really enjoy the complementary delicious icey honey ginger lemon shot after class. Wowzaz it’s delicious especially after 90 minutes of heat

I’m not a person that takes yoga to seriously and thus I dont want it all to be too spiritual. I want a good atmosphere and a mindful workout and thats possible at Nalini. I can really recommend the soothing hot yoga and i like going weekend mornings when there’s fewer people.

If I were to prioritize activities of life maintenance, I think yoga would be on the top of the list. A little sanity, and some time to listen to yourself and sit still every day, in a world that is demanding more and more of our energy, is never a bad thing. I spent years practicing Bikram yoga in order to find this serenty, but after several years of repeatedly injuring my lower back doing back bends before my body was warm, or from pulling hamstrings by attempting to *lock* my knees, I finally saw the light and moved on to a more body-happy vinyasa practice. But I will admit, I missed the heat. Only occasionally did I get lucky enough to have a firey practice with a well-seasoned yoga teacher in New York who we lovingly called *Joga*, but I never managed to get my yoga sweat on outside of her classes. I love to sweat. For me, the amount I sweat defines how good the workout was, and the feeling you get of being totally detoxed afterward is a fabulous reward to spending 90 minutes stretching it out in a warm room. But a rigid dialogue that encourages people to push themselves beyond what their bodies are capable of is not really my bag anymore. I also sometimes need to be reminded to breathe. Crazy, right? I was thrilled to discover that Nalini, a both hot, and regular yoga studio, could satisfy my needs. The teachers are gentle, the practices are reliable and encourage a little healthy introspection, and the environment is very warm and hygglig. I love coming here to practice in such an inviting community. They have all different types of yoga: vinyasa in the heat, hatha in the heat, ashtanga, pregnancy, and yin yogas in the nonheat. Super convenient and central location on Christianshavn makes this a win win for everyone involved. :)
