Probably the nicest supermarket in Denmark in terms of beauty I will say. It is just beautiful how everything is displayed you want to by everything. My favorite part about it however is the wine section which they have a really amazing selection for outstandingly decent prices. Compared to the rest which is extremely overpriced must of the time but again many of the things they have you can only find them here in Denmark so it is like a treasure chest yes you will find your local specialty but you will pay for it. Regarding the wines I love their collection behind the glass including Château Petrus and Peter Sissecks babies. I really like their cheese selection as well as their dulce de leche. So don’t go shopping for every day stuff here but if looking for something special or for wine definitely the place. By the way their wine guy is amazing know everything and will get your taste right!

Since it’s in a mall, this place kind of reminds of the Bristol Farms in the Westfield in SanFrancisco, Meats, dairy, wines, seafood, high end packaged goods. If I lived around here I could blow some DKK pretty quickly. Luckily I was leaving town and I had to limit myself to what I could get. So I limited myself to a rhubarb juice to go. A place where food lovers can definitely get lost for a while

When I’m missing Whole Foods like mad, or need foodstuffs that seem to not be consistently available anywhere else, Mad & Vin does me right. Because of the considerable price mark up on most things there, however, I only buy very specific things: 1. Grassfed meat(they often have sales on Grambogård pork and meat) 2. Naturmælk whole milk(3,5%) natural yogurt 3. Aalbæk Quality Meats(Jalapeño Chorizo is my fav) 4. Cheddar cheese(the real kind, might even qualify as «sharp»), and various other stinky french cheeses 5. Cofoco’s Supermarché Frozen French onion soup, with real stock(for hangovers, try it) 6. Pecans, once a year, for pecan pie 7. Seafood(their fiskefrikadeller are awesome, as is the homemade remoulade) Best idea is to go here with cash in your pocket, otherwise, it’s entirely possible to buy the whole store.
