Really fortunate to stumble across this café. Had an amazing burrito by anyone’s standards — reasonably priced and very filling(had it for dinner). The owner is a very nice woman from San Fran that is friendly and also specializes in cheesecake, which I unfortunately could not save room for. Great ingredients and a pleasant environment. Highly recommend. Bonus points for stocking San Fran’s own anchor steam beer.

Stumbled across this place while out and about with my hubby. The owner was very friendly and though they were about to close, she was extremely welcoming and accommodating. I had the luxury burrito and my husband had the quesadilla, both with chicken. I also ordered the cheesecake with blueberry rose sauce. I really enjoyed my burrito. The ingredients were fresh and the roll was tasty. My husband enjoyed his also. The cheesecake was excellent! I was surprised, as it was different than that to which I’m accustomed, but good in its own right.

My friends and I are from Phoenix, Arizona, USA and the other day we were at this restaurant in Coopenhagen. This place has killer burritos. They are HUGE and are delicious. I’m from AZ and I’ve had my fair share of Mexican food. Furthermore we got a free slice of cheesecake because the waiter gave my friend my burrito instead of his burrito but corrected that mistake 1 minute later. He didn’t even begin eating my burrito but she felt bad about the swap and gave us the cake. Furthermore the burrito was relatively cheap, in terms of cost, in comparison to everything around.

The best burrito I’ve had outside of Mexico and the US. On my way to the National museum(Short note: I would highly recommend the Viking Exhibition — where you can look at the old ships and think back on how tasty the burrito you just had was, and that the vikings carving out the rune stones probably never had anything like it). Anyway, I ordered a burrito with both chicken and beef from a lovely(Mexican?) woman who is probably owning the place. The burrito was as it should be — great balance with much taste. A large portion that will keep you energized for for a nice day in Copenhagen. I also added some extra chili which I can recommend if you like spicier food. The owner kept asking me if I wanted cheesecake and I can read from the other reviews I was wrong not to try it — however that gives me an excuse to visit the place again for another burrito and dessert

On the plus side, I like the feeling of privacy: the semi-basement setting, the cozy tables and pillows. On the not as positive side: the service felt perfunctory, even for Copenhagen, and the cheesecake with cherry and cinammon sauce was very sweet and hit back with a vengeance and a stomachache.

Having heard tons about this place, we had the chance to head in here on Saturday before heading to the National Museum right next door. The place features a real Californian mix of mexican-ish food and American food, including hot dogs, burritos, and cheesecake. Not a huge place, but it does seat quite a few people. I had the luxury burrito, while my wife had the quesadilla. Points for featuring a quesadilla on the menu! The burrito was good, nice combo of meat, beans, and avocado, and all fresh made. However, I think I made a wrong choice in not having the tuna melt, as this one a) is harder to find in Denmark, and b) seems to be getting rave reviews on Unilocal and elsewhere. So I’ll have to do that next time. And because we were in a bit of hurry, we opted to not try the cheesecake this time around, which may also have been a mistake. So I’ll keep this review at four stars, but may bump it up to five when I’ve corrected my own errors. Miriam, who runs the place and is often behind the counter, is a real gem and one the main assets of the place. Friendly, smiling, and with a real passion for the food she cooks up! Definitely worth a visit! But try the tuna melt. And tell me how it was. Oh hell, I’ll just to myself.

A cosy little café, that does not crave much attention with its discreet location. Though this being true I’ve been 2 – 3 times for their magical cheesecake! Last time I was there I got one of their tuna-sandwiches which I enjoyed whilst listening to great music that the owners pick out themselves(props for being a fellow death cab for cutie fan). Whilst their food is great, it is the cheesecake that draws me. You can buy a slice of a simple cheesecake and choose between 4 delicious toppings. A little slice of heaven! All in all, it was worth a visit, and probably won’t be too long until next t

The Unilocalers are not wrong when they say that the homemade cheesecake is stellar. They only have one kind of cheesecake and that’s the original NY cheesecake. You have the option between 4 sauces, but I recommend the raspberry one. The owner is very hardworking and kind. You can tell that she puts love into her cheesecake and that she genuinely wants you to have the best experience possible. However, I can only give this place 4 stars because of the food. While its portions are large and it’s satisfying, there are no impressive attributes about it.

I came here for a tasty burrito. What actually got me was the divine cheesecake. The cheesecake at this place is one of the best I’ve tried. It comes with sauce(e.g. raspberry, blueberry, apple cinnamon, or something else I can’t remember) although you don’t really need sauce as the cheesecake is full of flavors. It’s not too sweet and melts in your mouth. My favorite sauce is apple cinnamon, a perfect winter complement to the already-divine cheesecake. Let’s talk about the burrito now. For those craving authentic American burritos, this is the place to go. I got a chicken burrito. This was a huge portion! The chicken was well-marinated, and rice was well-cooked. For a burrito, I think rice, beans, and meat are the most important ingredients, and Miriam’s burrito did everything right. The ambience of the place is very comfy with lit candles and many cute pillows around the seating area. You can also get some work done as there is Wi-Fi available in the restaurant. Overall, I highly recommend the place!

Perfect for Bay Area folks who have been missing a taste of SF. What caught my attention: Black Bean Burritos. What convinced me to come by: Anchor Steam Beer. What is bringing me back: a combination of the lovely owner Miriam and her absolutely divine cheesecake. On top of that, it is a cozy little place, all the food is fresh and made right in the kitchen, and the chipotle sauce is actually spicy. I’m definitely coming back!

I’m going to preface by saying everyone who visits Copenhagen needs to come here! To begin, the ambiance and wonderful motherly service sets the tone for an excellent stop in for food, drinks, or desserts! Mariam is not cheap on portions and you’ll always get what you pay for! She loves what she does and it’s transparent in the relationships she makes with her regulars. Everyone who gives this restaurant a chance becomes a regular, it’s really a win-win deal for both her and her customers. I ordered the burrito and it exceeded my expectations. Again, portions were generous and flavorful, and I would definitely order it again. On to Mariam’s gift to Copenhagen! Her cheesecake is beyond words and everyone who steps foot inside her restaurant needs to order a cheesecake. It’s homemade and decadent. I have no doubt that it’s the best dessert you can find in Copenhagen!

This place is located at one of the more busy streets in central Copenhagen and its pretty easy to miss, due to the traffic. Its not because their sign is hidden, but you just hardly notice it, while walking past. Its located in the basement of another building, and the steps are quite big, but when you enter the room, you instantly feel like you’re actually in San Francisco. I can’t quite describe why or how, but it feels very much like this place could have existed in SF — a lot of things are crammed into a tiny place. Yeah, that’s probably it. I wanted something that reminded me of SF, so I went for their burrito with chorizo and other things. It took some time to make it, but you could see/hear/feel that it was made from scratch and I have to admit that I love that. When I digged into it and started eating it, it was perfect. This is what a burrito should be like. Massive, dense and full of different flavours. I love this place! I will be back, probaly already tomorrow!

This one is one of those places where the reviews don’t lie. Especially true for the cheesecake. Wow, the heavenly NY style cheesecake is fresh and amazing. I remember eating some NY style cheesecake from other places(from different countries), and most of them is not as good as this one. Miriam(the owner) is super nice and will make sure that you will know how to enjoy her slice of cheesecake the most. There are only four sauces to choose from, which I like it, especially both Blueberry Rose, Apple, cinnamon and a hint of chilli. If you are not sure which sauces to choose, she will give you a slice of cheesecake with some plates of different sauces to try. She is very passion about her cheesecake, which without a doubt, she has perfected it over many years. That is why I will be coming back for the cheesecake. That is why this place gets 5 stars from me()

The owner is from San Fransisco but had been living in Denmark for a number of years. The food is wonderful and the service is even better. I got the black bean burrito. It was freshly made and very filling. After dinner I had the highly recommended cheesecake. Probably the best cheesecake I’ve ever had! So good I came back the following day for a meal. Only bad thing is I discovered this place just two days before my departure!

This was some of the best cheesecake I’ve ever had. I found the café on Unilocal after the visiting the Parliament tower(great view and it’s free!) as it is a block away. Part of the appeal of the café is the overall atmosphere. The café in a few steps down from the street in a cozy space. Benches with throw pillows line the walls with art and plants that brighten the space. There are a few two chair tables that line the street as well. The owner is a lovely, friendly women from San Fransisco. She makes the cheesecake from scratch. She and her partner were both there during my visit and checked in to make sure all of the customers were enjoying what they ordered. I appreciated the interaction and that they cared whether I liked the cake. The cheesecake is served plain with a side of your choice of fruit sauce. I had the cherry cinnamon and it was incredible. I liked that the sauce was served on the side as it allowed you to choose the amount(though it’s so good you will finish it one way or another. Apparently some people have been observed drinking what is left). The rest of the menu is fairly basic: salads, sandwiches and burritos. Considering the prices in Copenhagen, theirs were reasonable for a full sized meal(based on the other reviewer’s photos). I only stopped for dessert, based on how good the cheesecake was, I would have liked to try one of the other items. High recommendation!

This cheesecake is the best I’ve had in Copenhagen, hands down. It’s «plain» as in, no «Oreo Caramel Toffee Drizzle Blueberry White Chocolate», but it has so much flavor and deliciousness. Instead, you order your choice of sauce as a topping — my favorite was the classic raspberry — that way, you can also decide exactly how much additional flavor you want. I’ve also tried the chicken burrito, which was the size of my forearm and absolutely delicious — it made for a very satisfying dinner for two! The greatest plus here is the lovely owner, Miriam, who might just be the sweetest person you’ll ever meet. I could happily eat a slice of cheesecake here every day, although my waistline would probably not be so thrilled about that.

When they say«a very large flour tortilla,» they mean very large! The burrito was as long as my forearm and even thicker. I got the classic with chicken; the tortilla itself was good and the fillings were pretty standard. I did not like that it was those chicken breast strips; I would have preferred shredded chicken but it’s not a deal-breaker. Although it was good, I was unable to finish it. Luckily the kind and friendly owner offered us all boxes and I ate the rest of my burrito for lunch the next day. At 80 dkk it is a good price for a dish which equals two meals. This place is famous for the cheesecake but unfortunately and strangely I wasn’t in a mood for dessert so I’ll have to try it next time. The others at my table were raving about it! Though what I’ve written so far makes the place seem just OK, the owner’s friendliness and warmth earns the fourth star. Even though the area is pretty dead, I will definitely be back for that cheesecake.

Plain doesn’t always mean bad, at least that’s what cheesecake at this place proves. Referring to the NY style cheesecake without all the fancy flavours and filling but simple berry sauce, I found the taste was divine. Creamy and rich, and as the lovely shop owner Miriam«taught» us how to properly enjoy the cake, we tasted the cake without and then added sauce in it to see how the flavour improved and how right she was. The cakes were homemade, she said. She baked them herself and she developed the sauce as well. Perhaps it’s true what they said about baking with love, whatever it is, I could very much feel the love with every bite of this thing. I chose the blueberry and rose sauce and it complimented the sauce well, next time I would want to try the original raspberry and the apple sauce and chilli one, and I couldn’t wait to get back at this place. The place is located in the basement level but it was bright, cozy with lots of colourful pillows and seats. The owner Miriam added an extra touch to this place with her cheerfulness to welcome every guests in her shop, that’s what I call service. Please notice that this is the review of the cheesecake only. I have not had the burrito or other sandwiches from this shop.

Still in post-cheesecake comatose state and hot chocolate shock after my second visit to Slice of San Francisco, I still think this is one of the best cafés in Cph. Here’s why: they serve the best cheese cake. Ever. Seriously; you can have it with blueberry, raspberry or apple/cinnamon/chili sauce on the side. And it is served in massive slices! The owner is a native of San Francisco and gives the place an authentic vibe with her friendly and open demeanor. The prices are very good. The burritos are massive too. The atmosphere is laid back. I have to use the cliché: what’s not to like? With its central location, I’m surprised that the place isn’t even more popular. Maybe it’s one of Cph’s hidden gems? Anyway, it deserves many visits and more!
