Limited selection but the food is quite good. Especially the burger, which is very surprising for a hotel restaurant. Service is not fast though and have to constantly remind waiters on refills or if you need anything else.

My wife and I, fresh from our flight and hungry came here for Christmas Day dinner. We had a later reservation but walked in an hour early and were immediately seated. The service and view were especially exceptional. Needless to say the food, all of it, was amazing. Each course explained exactly, and each bite better than the last.

Great place. We sat outside on near the water. Couldn’t ask for a better view. The food here is excellent. I had the beef tartare which I highly recommend. My wife had the burger. I can’t think of one negative thing about the food. My only complaint would be the service. The waitress was very friendly just a tad slow. We were in a rush too so we might have been impatient. I highly recommend going here after eating at place in Nyhavn.

Go fig everyone would want to sit outside since it was a nice, warm and breezy day. That’s alright, my friends and I ended up getting the whole indoor restaurant to ourselves! Take that lady who hustled to the table since this one here was not aggressive enough to push her out of the way. Who needs vitamin D with your food anyway. Mussels, herring and crabcakes were the dishes orders. The herring was made three ways and paired perfectly with the rye bread. Get the mussels! It’s a nice portion size and the soup at the end’s not too salty so really good to dip bread or drink. I guess since it’s called Salt, they had three selections of salt to put on top of the buttered bread or on your food. I love how restaurants in Europe don’t try to kick you out after you’ve finished eating but since they were setting up for dinner, we moved our party to the bar. Desserts and beverages were ordered. Mine was this berries and cream dish. So simple yet so good.

We went to Salt on the recommendation of Time Out. Initially we were worried because we hadn’t appreciated it is a hotel restauant and when we arrived the maitre d was on a personal call and just left us standing at the door feeling awkward. Luckily a waiter came along and got us seated. We opted for the three course set menu. I was a bit nervous about what to expect from Scandanavian food but each course was delicious. The service was very friendly and helpful. Copenhagen is expensive and Salt is probably above average in terms of price but definitely worth it.

Boyfriend and I were strolling along the water and working up an appetite. Hunger finally became too strong and we were in front of this place so we stopped. Atmosphere is a bit posh. OK, a lot posh, but the view of the water and the people watching is unbeatable. Menu is sort of a classic selection of items, with some strange things(chicken nuggets?). Boyfriend opted for the carbonara pasta and I went with the Atlantic shrimp. Overall we found the food just OK. For the price we were expecting a lot more. Boyfriends carbonara was pretty boring. He makes much better at home, but the pasta seemed fresh. My shrimp were underwhelming. They were peel-and-eat which makes a bit of mess and to be honest it is a bit unappealing to be served a bunch of female shrimp that are dripping with egg sacks. Yeah, that doesnt sound good, does it? So, they provide and extra bowl and water to help you peel the shrimp, but by the time you get the whole shell off you were left with this sort of small, sad tasteless thing and a pot of mayo to dip it in. Yes, it was as depressing as it sounds. In the end, go for the atmosphere and the view, but dont expect a lot from the food.

Three and a half, actually. Unbeatable located in Copenhagen’s Admiral Hotel, overlooking the harbor front in a beautiful historical warehouse, Salt’s specialty is(you guessed!) sea fare so fresh my whole party kept raving about it. In fact, there was no vegetarian dinning option on the menu, although the chefs were very creative and accommodating. I ended up enjoying a very satisfying multigrain, multivegetable dish with a name I can’t recall, but deli anyways. The star of the night though, were the amazing appetizers: sweet, slightly pickled mushrooms I just couldn’t get enough of. I’ve been here also for mid-afternoon drinks and dessert, seating outside, soaking in the sun and breathing in the cool sea breeze. It’s a nice, quieter option than seating anywhere on Nyhavn.
