If you like to nerd out on beer, this is by far the best place in town. The only way to find people who knows more about the beers on tap, is by finding the brewers and asking them directly. I was there for a quick beer, but was recommended by a friend to ask the bartenders for a recommendation. The recommendation I got was based on what I told the bartender and the beer I got was pretty amazing. The location is pretty great as well — its hidden away, but not too far away. It is a sportsbar, so if theres a local football game, you might end up between a bunch of football fans. I’m personally not that into sportsball, but some might be. The selection is not enormous, but it is just enough and it seems like they change their selection just enough times, so it feels new every time.

An update is obviously warranted after my double(or was it triple) unluck with this place last time with the rowdy rugby-watching crowd, teenagers playing foosball and leftover drunks from the football game. Anders A and I went here a week ago to find the bar was(almost) empty at 3.30pm. Well duh. But obviously, it’s five o’clock somewhere else since there were people like us drinking beer already on that time on a Saturday(so, it’s totally ok, right?). The ambience was nice, jazz and good old 80s music was playing(please, no teenagers!) and we had great time doing our stuff, drinking beer — that is. I had Mikkeller milk stout times two(it was just THAT good) and Mikkeller’s christmas beer from 2013(Santa’s Little Helper, the one that was stored in cognac barrel). Mmmm… Right, I’m totally a fan now of Ørsted Ølbar, but I would avoid it on a football/match nights.

Excellent micro brewery. Great selection of tap beers with frequent replacements. I’ve been coming here a lot of times. Either Friday evenings or Saturday/Sunday afternoons to watch a football match. I always enjoy it here. Occasionally the place can be a bit empty which is a shame. The bartenders always seem eager to serve you the best beer. No matter how busy they are, they always have time to talk about the brews and give you a few tastes. Would definitely recommend beer lovers to come here. And if you are looking for a quiet, nice place to watch a football match, this place I ideal.

Homely, local feel with a pub style interior. Preference here for Danish microbrews, mostly Mikkeller and also Amager. Loads of oddball American micros too like Cigar City and Founders when I visited… things I would never expect in Denmark. Glassware was all perfect for style. Very proper pours. Staff was very knowledgeable about beer. A little pricey but then again I was not used to the price level in CPH, which can be quite a shock for an outsider. Definitely worth stopping by for a few rounds. I really liked the handwritten tap handles as it gave me reason to believe the keg rotation was quick and thus the beer probably fresh.

Looks great after remodeling, opened again late July 2015 after being closed about a month. Decent selection of beer. 20 taps, interesting stuff on tap, most of it from Danish brewers. Okay selection of bottled beer too. If you’re not into beer, they currently have 7 gins available. If you’re not into beer or gin, you should probably go somewhere else.

Great cozy bar, kind of an original brewpub. Great rotating taps, quiet neighborhood. Bartender very friendly and into the beer scene. Good music a plus, great hang out late night bar.

This can be a really cozy place to have a beer with your friends; benches with long tables, comfy couches, half-melted candles in bottles. They have great beers on offer and the bartenders are good at suggesting something that suits you. However, keep an eye on the calendar; the evening you plan to be here can turn this place into a loud sports bar if there’s an interesting game on. There are a couple TVs in here, which I don’t like, but maybe it’s something for you.

This is not a place to get hammered and party all night. With 200 bottled beers and 20 taps this is a paradise for the serious beer nerd. They have a DJ some nights, but really… This is the beer place where you go to chill with mates watch some football and drink some serious beers with chips(crisps). No douchebags allowed.

I’m trying to power through the last few of my Denmark reviews from last December so here we go. 3.5 would probably be more representative. Like Linda F. I think that there’s better beer bars(Fermentoren) in Copenhagen. It was okay. They had a decent selection of beers on tap from local brewers and the prices were comparable, but I found it slightly lacking in ambiance and the service wasn’t as friendly as many of the other bars I had visited. The bartender was more interested in watching football on the TV than taking care of the bar area, which I guess it was a slow day but still, felt a little weird. Perfectly good if you were in the area though, and I am being more generous with the rating because it’s likely I just had a mediocre experience.

I think it’s a good beer bar, and it’s somewhere between three and four stars for me. But there are other beer places I like better in Copenhagen, so Ørsted gets 3 stars. Lots of space but still cozy with rough wooden tables and candles in winebottles that are never allowed to go out. Good beer tap selection and it’s quiet and low-key. They have Mikkeller on tap and their own Ørsted beers. A perfectly decent place.
