I did not stay here, but while at Christmas in Tivoli, I was led by my curiosity of its arabesque palace architecture married with sophisticated, sleek Danish style. The guys at the front desk were super polite and welcoming, suggested great places in the city to experience Danish design, and I was treated to a private tour of their best rooms! I learned that the Nimb was originally built in 1909 as an Arab fantasy castle by architect Knud Arne-Petersen. At the very least, check out the ladies room in the lobby! Marvelous!

Everything was perfect except for the noise from the street. It might be that room 14 is the only room with this issue but my wife and I have stayed at other luxury hotels where they easily have fixed an issue with noise by installing an extra layer of glasses in the windows. Except for this glitch Nimb Hotel is a lovely hotel — the staff is friendly and service minded, the room exquisitely showing off what can be achieved spending a lot on furnishing a hotel room — everything from B&O TV and Audio to antique cabinets propably bought at Green Square(go there if you have the time and are looking for some unique furniture). My wife and I live in Copenhagen and comes often at Nimb bar — we wanted to experience the hotel first hand and my wife decided to invite me for a great weekend — its been great and we would cetainly do it again.

Great hotel connected to Tivoli gardens. The staff takes a lot of the credit, they are an amazing bunch of people not afraid of going a few more miles for your convenience! For food, decorations and services they will have everything you should need. Budget is not for the faint hearted :)

I can’t speak highly enough about how great of an experience we had at Nimb. The service was so impeccable with such a small staff I wondered how they did it. Friendly, service minded to a tee, attentive but not over bearing or intrusive at all. The room was beautiful with a huge spacious bathroom, amazing shower and separate bathtub. They left chocolates, welcome gifts and handwritten notes in the room upon arrival. It is attached to a theme park which seems odd but it really doesn’t effect you in the least as you can choose to partake for free or not at all and the hotel feels very separated. It’s also just across the street from the central station which makes it so simple for transport to and from the airport. The décor, brand of toiletries(Aesop) and breakfast buffet where suburb. Every morning the staff in the brasserie remembered how we took our coffee and asked if we’d like the same. There are an array of fresh juices, cheeses, cold cuts, breads, yogurts, fruit and nuts. I’d only suggest the brasserie attached to hotel in regards to meals, the Bar & Grill a few doors down that also belongs to the hotel was good in regards to the meal, but didn’t have the feel or level of service the hotel and other venue offered. Overall, the whole experience was beyond positive and I would recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Copenhagen.

Went to the restaurant in the hotel. The atmosphere, overlooking the Tivoli and the food were all very good. Very happy with the service. Worth a casual night of dining.

Tourist trap hotel. Rooms are massively overpriced. Terribly noisy, rooms are very hot in the summer and you cannot rest with screaming roller coasters right outside your window. Staff is snobby and self righteous. Please reconsider if you are thinking of staying, not worth the price.

If I had a sixth star to give to one place this would be it. Conde Nast has Nimb listed as #40 in the world’s best hotels which makes me feel suuuper cool. With only 14 rooms Nimb can be a hard room to book but it offers a tranquility that’s always amiss with larger competitors. The front is unassuming but out the back is a palace-like façade that lands you directly inside bustling Tivoli Gardens(free to hotel guests). For music lovers(me!) this is a huge plus because Tivoli’s concert stage is viewable from the bedrooms. The hotel is fantastically designed, modern yet humble; the bar is chill, attractive and hosts a pop star or two. The most amazing aspect is definitely the staff. Usually, I’m happy to rave about one or two people but this place is stocked with exceptional personalities exuding innate professionalism — not those fake stiffs at other high-end venues. Peter, the concierge has impeccable taste and the best local recommendations, helps that he looks like David Beckham. The entire hotel bar staff is welcoming, genuine and fun — Maria rules! Hotel restaurant employs a couple sommeliers who are so passionate about natural wines, I feel like I know what I’m talking about. But I don’t! And Sille on the breakfast shift is the perfect way to start the morning. Every hotel should take a look at this staff, copy and paste.
