In a nutshell: If all you want is a cheap place to crash for the night and a great free breakfast, this is your place. If you want a «quality» experience, you’ll want to look elsewhere. Pros: — VERY close to the main bus/train station — Fantastic continental breakfast — Close to Tivoli and all the other central Copenhagen attractions — free wifi(apparently this is a new development) Cons: — Basically located in the sketchy part of the city — Shared bathrooms(very hostel-like) — Thin walls = lots of noise

This place is budget. Accept it as such and you won’t be disappointed. Never mind the bad décor, double beds that are just two singles pushed together and shared bathrooms, instead be impressed by the wonderful desk staff, the free wi-fi and close proximity to, well, pretty much everything. While its not cheap for most places, for Copenhagen, its a bargain, especially in the middle of the city. Despite the hotels obvious age, the rooms are clean and the beds comfy enough. The communal bathrooms definitely need an upgrade though and it is on a dodgy street in Vesterbro. Just avoid walking down the road away from the train station. There is a sink and a(tiny) tv in each room. They will also let you store luggage downstairs until you can check in.

Hard to review this purely on the basis that it is what it is, but that is what it is… uhm. It is a cheap way to spend the weekend in Copenhagen and I stayed here both on my own and with friends. It does have its flaws with old and stuffy rooms, blocked pipes in the bathroom on several occasions and it is situated in a dodgy area with several types of deals going down on the street outside(sitting in the window late at night could prove to be quite a show). But, if you expect this and approach it with an open mind you would probably enjoy your stay here. The staff is friendly and they have a guest computer available in the reception that you can use. Last time this was a life saver as I could print some concert tickets that was left at home. It is extremely close to the central station and also to the centre of town or perhaps my favourite area with its many great restaurants, bars and cafes, Vesterbro. I tried the breakfast once but as with many of the cheaper hotels in the area it was quite uninspired and consisted only of limited selection of cold food, you’re better off going for a walk some blocks up the street to for example Café Dyrehaven and get your breakfast there. As a side note the proceeds are actually donated to a good cause in helping the homeless according to their website.
