The ambiance of this restaurant is warm and cosy. The waiters speak English, Danish, and French. The Astérix cartoons are lovely touch. They food is good and reasonably priced. Our food came out quickly. The ratatouille was indeed delicious, and was recommended by the waitress.

The window on the front door was broken and it looked a little sketchy. They closed an hour early and the owner was really rude about it. Maybe because he is French and prejudiced against Americans, maybe he was having a bad day. I’m not sure. Anyways, it’s too bad because I was pretty excited about having a crêpe restaurant nearby and now I will definitely not be returning.

Pretty cute little restaurant. Got #12 breast(that’s what it’s called) and it has ham, tomatoes, and chives. The crêpe comes with some lettuce and chives with dressing on it and it doesn’t seem like a lot but it’s filling. Loved it and even shared a dessert crêpe with friends and my total was 105 kroner!

I visited this restaurant last month while in search of good gluten free eats in Copenhagen. They did not disappoint. Portion sizes were generous and the menu selection was great. The crepes were very, very tasty. The restaurant is tucked away and we almost missed it on the street. It was very busy, so make a reservation if you want to be guaranteed a table.

Even though it may look a little fancy, you can get a great meal for a decent price at this tucked-away eatery. All they make is Breton galettes, so don’t expect to get a burger here. A good tip to know is that they are gluten-free, being made from buckwheat. If you’re gluten-intolerant, you can also get very nice cidre instead of beer. My friend was fooled by the appearance of his galette with ham and cheese. It was flipped over so it just seemed like a plain pancake. But it turned out to be generously filled and consequently very filling. I got the smoked salmon with salad, crème fraîche, and caviar. It felt healthy but decadent with the caivar. It was a delicious and unintentionally romantic dinner at a reasonable price. I’d love to drop by again, though reservations are a good idea.

Make crêpes, not war! Especially if the crêpes are as good as the ones at La Galette. La Galette was the choice for dinner with four other pancake-hungry friendos one monday evening. The place was half full when we entered and stayed that way all evening. The music was pop-ish and relaxed, but would have been nice if it perhaps had been a tad more french. I’m not thinking of Edith Piaf style here, but frenching it up a little bit, would definitely add to the atmosphere, which was already quite french, with the waiters speaking the language with each other and the menu being in both Danish and French. Now, let’s talk about the food. We ordered a different selection of dinner crêpes. I had No. 12, a dish called Brest, which consisted of a pancake with an egg, ham, tomatoes and a small salad. It was crunchy and soft in all the right places and super, super nice! At first we didn’t think we could handle dessert crêpes, but after a little while and some looks at the menu, we changed our minds. I shared a crêpe called Belle Hélèné with my friend and it was even better than the dinner crêpe. A delicious mixture of crunchy pancake, sweet vanilla ice cream, a soft and sugary pear and a dash of cream and chocolate sauce, made this a dream of a crêpe! Perhaps the best one I’ve ever had.

Very nice place. As it can get crowded, be prepared to wait. The apple cider was excellent, and so were the pancakes. Service was a bit stressed, probably due to the large amount of clients.

French pancake place in Copenhagen. Lot of things done right here, even the entrance via a courtyard feels like the entrance to a French restaurant. It’s a small and intimate venue, I think you should reserve in advance if you want to be sure of a table at weekends. The food was good but more than that I enjoyed the cider, it somehow felt more authentic to choose the cider and I’m glad we did as it was very nice!

This is a very cool little hole-in-the-wall located just a short walk from the pedestrian shopping zone. The restaurant offers French buckwheat pancakes(just a bit thicker than crepes) in 22 different varieties — with varying combos of egg, ham, cheese, bacon, tomato, onion, spinach and goat cheese, and of course, lox(a few combos are ok for vegetarians) — prices range from about EUR5 to EUR15. There are also another 20 or so dessert options on wheat crepes from which to choose. In addition to the interesting food, the atmosphere is lovely — a rustic French ambiance with cosy tables nearly on top of one another. On the night that we were there, there was a problem with the electricity, and the place was awash in romantic candlelight, making it even more enjoyable.
