One of the best sushi places in Copenhagen. Great food and service. The restaurant is nice and cosy.

This place has a lot of hype. Yes the sushi is very good, but it is also very expensive for what you are getting. We ordered a variety of speciality rolls and sashimi in addition to some cocktails. I would recommend trying their specialty crunchy ship rolls and tuna ones, however, my tuna sashimi was not great quality. Their drinks are delicious — try to cucumber one! Some of the best sushi in CPH but I have better quality/price.

Very good sushi. Fish was very fresh and the rolls were creative and well executed. Also good cocktails and everything is fairly priced.

The restaurant is located in the heart of Copenhagen close to Kgs. Nytorv. The restaurant seemed packed when we arrived and being a Unilocal dinner party of six people we were seated in a more private area behind two curtains. I really liked the asian ambiance in the restaurant. If I had to celebrate an anniversary or going on a date I would definitely go here and sit at one of the little tables with my loved one. We ordered a couple of menus and shared them. We ordered their douglas menu, 2 nigiri menus and the roll deluxe menu. It was nicely presented by our very serious and«try-to-know-it-all”-waiter. The fish were all very good quality. Salmon was delicious. Even just normal tuna(not fatty ones) were very good. It was some of the freshest and most flavorful sushi I’ve ever had in my short life. We all paid around 200 kr each including drinks and, in my opinion, it was a pretty good deal price wise and we did not go home hungry. In summary I would definitely come here again…

When it comes to sushi, I prefer the plain nigiri of Selfish or straight up sashimi at Bento. However, it is nice to go out once in a while and enjoy some wacky rolls with friends who are maybe not into traditional sushi. Also they advertise that they use environmentally-friendly products and ALL of their seafood is MSC certified, which is a huge plus in a sea(haha) of sushi restaurants that don’t care where their fish comes from. The atmosphere here is a little fancy, well-suited to a date or celebratory occasion. Our table was right by the door but the curtains nicely hid us away. Since I felt I needed to match the fancy room, I chose the deep pink Hana cocktail; a pleasantly sour vodka drink with cointreau. The sushi took a while to make, but we did order quite a bit, and the drink tided me over until our six plates arrived. Our servers may not have been cheerful but they were very patient with us and described all the dishes. We split a Douglas, a Roll Deluxe, and two nigiri menus among 6 girls and I think it was more than enough. Standouts were the king crab nigiri, tuna tataki nigiri with kimchi, and ikura gunkan wrapped in cucumber, though all of the nigiri were fine. I tried a piece of each roll and surprisingly I enjoyed some enough to taste more. The Sizzling Tuna roll was interesting with a crunch of seaweed salad and the Karma Crunch roll was fresh with the garden cress on top. The construction was pretty good; none of the rolls fell apart when picked up and the cross-sections all looked even. I’m not a roll-hater, I’d just prefer something simpler instead. definitely something without mango or cream cheese or a roll named after a city. The price was in line with other upscale sushi places in Copenhagen. When I’m in the mood for more king crab or rolls, I’ll be back!

It can be quite a treasure hunt to find a good sushi place in good ol’ Copenhagen. Abundant? Yes, but what about the quality? I only had a handful of places memorised in my brain when it comes to getting real good sushi, but today Karma made the list. Six lovely Unilocal girls shared four big sushi menu, it does sound like a beginning of a good story, a good food story that is. We shared two nigiri menus(absolutely lovely!), the roll deluxe menu and the douglas menu and we definitely walked away feeling happy from all the sushi in the tummy(hey, that rhymes!) For me, the nigiri menu is absolutely to die for. The king crab is a must try but the rest is divine as well. The roll menu that we had was good, but if I had to choose for my last meal, my heart would always fall for nigiri. The restaurant itself is stylish-modern, perfect for dating as a Unilocaler pointed out, but otherwise pretty good for big groups as well. We got a long table in the more secluded area just behind the entrance, hidden with curtains. Service was friendly and attentive although I still think that most waitresses and waiters in Copenhagen could take a course on how to smile to a customer. The bill came out 249 kr me for, a fair price to pay for loads of sushi to share and a cocktail drink for the price. I would definitely go for this place again in the future.

I tried out Karma Sushi with three girl friends the other night, and I’m a fan! The interior is very cozy and more high-end than most sushi places around Copenhagen. I especially liked the curtains that separated the dining area from the entrance and the bar area. We got some starters to share, edamame beans and some torched salmon with delicious toppings, and then shared two large menus, mostly rolls, but some nigiri and sashimi as well. All the rolls were beautiful, fresh, and absolutely delicious. I also loved their deep-fried shrimps, which came in an amazing sweet and a little bit spicy sauce. They have a good selection of wines and cocktails as well. I also loved their«Karma water», which is infused with fresh mint, cucumber, and lime. Simple, but really makes a big difference. Service was very nice, though the kitchen was quite busy that day, so we had to wait quite a bit for our food. Prices are in line with standard Copenhagen sushi prices(which I still find very high in general), but you get really good quality here.

As a tourist visiting Copenhagen, this was a great opportunity for a brief respite from more traditional Danish cuisine. Our group of three ordered the large platter, and with each new presentation, we were impressed with both the quality and creativity. We have eaten a great deal of sushi and«Asian fusion» food in both the U.S. and Japan, and felt that this was definitely among the better restaurants we have experienced. The only downside was the service. Our server worked very hard, but he was managing a full restaurant of tables with no help, so service was slower than you might expect.
