I, like Kim N., stayed in the attached hotel on my recent visit to Copenhagen, but definitely knew that Honey Ryder was a place to pop into, since I loved the decorations of the lounge, as well as the great outside courtyard. I had the mezcal cocktail, which was smoky and sweet and strong, and came in this amazing crystal tumbler that you would probably find in someone’s grandma’s attic but they seem to really love using throughout Copenhagen. Of course, it’s spendy, because it is Denmark, but the drink was great, and sitting listening to the DJ playing great lo-fi in the semi-darkness, well, it was all pretty good to me. Pretty centrally located, friendly bar staff, and comparable prices. Definitely worth stopping into, even if you’re not staying in the hotel(but it’s way more convenient to stumble upstairs after a few, if you are)!

I had no idea I was right next to one of the better drinking establishments in Copenhagen. In fact I was staying IN the hotel this place is connected to. They do have their own entrance from the street or you can go through Hotel 27’s lounge area. Not until we spoke to Nicholas at Ruby, who recommended this(amongst some other hospitality pros that we talked to). It explains why the lounge was happening even on week nights at the hotel. They focus on using Scandinavian ingredients in their drinks, a very New Nordic Cuisine approach to beverages. Sometimes the best things are right under your nose!
