Folkets Park is People’s Park in English, and it’s really people’s park. The housing in this area of Nørrebro is mainly social housing, and in Folkets Park it’s easy to see, what kind of problems it creates — homeless sleep here during the early morning, the local drunks get their beers in the sun, people smoke and sell and so on, but the park is also a very vibrant place, with party, crossfit, great bars and restaurants nearby. You find a very small playground for the children. Most of the park is grass with a few trees. It’s not a place for a quick football game. The main feature of the park is a wood bridge painted in bright colors.
