Been here several times with friends and really enjoyed it. I have tried the coffee, cinnamon roll, poppyseed and cream-filled pastry, and their focaccia bread while we stayed in Copenhagen. Amazing. Also had great service :)

My goodness! After having breads and pastries at Emmerys, I’m a bit confused as to why my favorite Parisian boulangerie seems to be somehow missing something. And Emmery’s is organic high quality gourmet bread. I didn’t find this place listed in my guidebook, but locals I met at various Copenhagen shops and tourist attractions raved about Emmerys. Glad I asked and took the advice(Thanks Petr at House of Amber). Absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. Just know that once you fly back to the US, you’ll never be able to eat a Danish again, and America’s chain Cinnabon, with its tacky sugary-high fructose corn syrup laden, lard-filled cinnamon buns will make you cry.

I went with 3 friends and we shared 3 pastries for 45 kr. They were all amazing! Especially the poppyseed covered one(yes I am a tourist and don’t remember what things were actually called). If you’re looking for a sweet breakfast or snack, I’d definitely recommend this place!

It’s a known fact Danish bread it’s the best in the world. No, I’m not Danish and nobody is paying me to say so. It’s just true: D This place definitely makes that claim justice. Emmerys is my waistline’s enemy number one. Bread’s not too light, not too heavy, with a slight chewy yumminess on the inside and a perfect golden crisp on the outside. Add a serious soy chai latte(not from powder, yikes!) in a cold winter afternoon and that’s it: I’m sold for life.
