The basement of Bugis Juntion gets a lot of action — it’s always crowded with snakes of people moving here and there; the line of ATMs is always there so there’s one more row of people. It’s a great place to set up a food stall if you can afford it. I stopped in my tracks because of Yummi Chiffon. They sell one of my favourite Singapore iconic food — PANDANCAKE. You can feed me on pandan cake for days. Just saying. Yummi Chiffon’s chiffon cakes are soft and fluffy, they come in a variety of colours and flavours too. I bought just one pandan cake. The nice lady told me to finish it within 2 days as there were no preservatives added. The cake itself was very very spongy, and the pandan taste was not as rich as I’d like it to be. It also ended up a little bit dry in the mouth. Hmm, perhaps other flavours will fare better?
